A number of Walford families are in turmoil after last week's events. For some of them, life will never be the same again.
Meanwhile, Chantelle discovers that Leo is dead and Whitney has been arrested. Tiffany asks Gray to help with Whitney's case and he agrees, despite some early reservations.
Elsewhere, Jean suggests Daniel should stay with her after discovering that his hospice is closing.

Gray is feeling stressed over Whitney's case and Chantelle worries when he snaps at the kids. Although Whitney is telling the police that she acted in self-defence, Gray is starting to suspect that she isn't telling the truth.
Gray asks Whitney whether she called anyone on the night of Leo's death, but she keeps quiet about Mick's involvement. Gray later discovers that Whitney got a taxi to the boat party alongside Kush and Mick.
Meanwhile, Jean hatches a plan to cheer up Daniel, with help from Mo and Kush.
When Jean reveals her surprise, Daniel promises her that he won't die until he knows she's okay.

Daniel forces Jean to attend her latest oncology appointment, where she hears that her latest MRI scan has come back clear.
Once home again, Jean lies to Daniel by pretending that she didn't get the result, but Mo soon reveals the truth to Daniel.
Later, Jean and Daniel spend some time together in the Square gardens. Jean disappears briefly to get Daniel a drink, and when she returns, she's left shocked.

Albert Square's residents try to get back to normal after the recent dramatic events, but one person's lies start to unravel.
With doubts forming and suspicion growing, one person tries to cover their tracks, fearing the consequences of the truth coming out.
Meanwhile, Karen gives Keegan an idea to cheer up Tiffany, but it ends in disaster.
