Hollyoaks 2017
Forget Chester – some of the Hollyoaks lot are flying over to the party island of Ibiza later this year, as part of the soap's upcoming series of summer storylines. (Lucky for some.)
Shooting for the episodes is set to begin on the white isle next month, with 'Oaks planning on airing the scenes during their usual Six Weeks of Summer.
Holly Cunningham (Amanda Clapham) and Tom Cunningham (Ellis Hollins) will be heading on their holidays alongside Ellie Nightingale (Sophie Porley), so expect sun, sea and a whole load of drama.
And it's fair to say they're in need of a holiday at the moment – especially Ellie, who's been at the centre of a sexual consent storyline along with Holly's boyfriend Nick Savage, who had sex with Ellie during fresher's week despite the fact that she couldn't consent.
Ellie kept quiet over her ordeal for a while, but recently decided to open up to her loved ones, which subsequently led to her reporting Nick to the police.

Although Ellie was devastated to learn that the charges against Nick would be dropped, Sophie Porley – who plays her – has revealed that the story won't be ending there.
Hinting that Nick might still get his comeuppance, Sophie recently said: "That's certainly not the end. We've filmed loads more that'll be onscreen soon."

Okay, so this summer has been disappointing in terms of weather, but you know what isn't a letdown? Hollyoaks' Summer of Secrets!
The official Facebook page has just uploaded a new trailer that hints at four different storylines, all of which promise to end in typically dramatic, over-the-top Hollyoaks fashion.

First up are Sienna and Warren. Sienna had the shock of her life recently when she found out she had cervical cancer, and would need to undergo an operation to save both her life, and the twins she is currently carrying.
As we can see in the trailer, she has the operation and tells Warren it was successful. Unfortunately, she finds out that's not the case and refuses to undergo any more treatment.
Meanwhile, Mandy and Luke are struggling to cope with his addiction and the fear of losing baby Ella. Mandy also comes face to face with her ex-husband, Tony. We wonder where this will lead...
As for Darren, he finds himself in too deep with Shane's drug business and is threatened that if he tries to leave, everyone will find out. At the same time, Nancy is becoming more and more suspicious as she finds a wad of money and doesn't know where it has come from.
And finally, Neeta and Hunter's teacher/pupil affair is discovered by the worst possible person: Mac.

We're sure there are going to be some fun moments spread across August, but it looks like the forecast for most of the month will be fire and fury and rage when these secrets get inevitably revealed.

Hollyoaks has revealed that this year's much-anticipated autumn stunt will be a gas explosion at Hollyoaks High.
As teased in the recent trailer, a vengeful Mac Nightingale will be responsible for the disaster, after setting fire to a drawing of his girlfriend Neeta and her pupil lover Hunter McQueen.
The drama will kick off after Mac damages the school boiler in a fit of anger, before throwing the burning image into the path of a gas leak – sparking the devastating explosion.
Teaching staff Sally St Claire, Louis Loveday, Neeta Kaur and Luke Morgan will be among those caught up in the drama, which taking place during a special prize-giving at the school in memory of tragic teen Jade Albright.
However, it's not just the teachers who are at risk, but the sixth formers too – with Tom Cunningham, Alfie Nightingale, Peri Lomax, Yasmine Maalik, Lily Drinkwell and some of the Osborne family finding themselves in a potentially perilous situation as well.
Viewers have seen Neeta spend the last few weeks at Mac's mercy, after the controlling pub landlord discovered her controversial affair with teenager Hunter.
Sadly, it looks like the pair's illict romance will have bigger consequences than either of them could have imagined – but will anyone escape the explosion unscathed? Or is the village about to hit by more death and tragedy?

Hollyoaks boss Bryan Kirkwood has told Digital Spy that he'll be killing off at least one character in the upcoming autumn stunt.
The show has announced that disaster will strike in the village once again later this year, as a terrifying gas explosion tears through Hollyoaks High.
Speaking exclusively to Digital Spy about the spectacular scenes in store, Bryan teased: "It wouldn't be a Hollyoaks stunt without a bit of a death toll. I think we all agree that it's always a little bit frustrating when there are fireworks like these on screen and the end result is that someone only ends up with a broken fingernail!
"We've got a lot of stories leading up to the stunt, as we always do. One of the biggest stories of the year has been Neeta and Hunter's love affair, which has been really good for us. I think those actors have been extraordinary.
"With mad Mac on the rampage, things look bleak for at least one character."
When Hollyoaks first released details of the stunt last week, it was revealed that Mac will cause the incident when he sets fire to a drawing of Neeta and Hunter during an after-school prize-giving ceremony.
After damaging the school boiler in a fit of anger, Mac throws the burning image into the path of a gas leak – sparking the devastating explosion.
Sally St Claire, Louis Loveday, Neeta Kaur and Luke Morgan will be among those caught up in the drama, alongside teen characters Tom Cunningham, Alfie Nightingale, Peri Lomax, Yasmine Maalik, Lily Drinkwell and some of the Osborne family.
