'End of the Road'

As Grace is living with Sam, Connie and Hugo have become a little family of their own. However, when Connie arrives to the ED, she learns that Hugo's father Jim wants to take Hugo back and move to Edinburgh. She offers to pick Hugo up from school and help him pack. Hugo is upset, and in her frustration, Connie tells him she's not his mum – causing Hugo to run away.

At the same time, policeman Phil is called to the ED when Noel spots a pickpocket in reception. He tries to give chase but collapses. Elle treats him and Phil can't help but turn on the charm and try and impress her.

Feeling guilty, Connie looks for Hugo everywhere but cannot find him. When Jim rings her, she admits that Hugo has escaped and she doesn't know where he is. Jim panics and goes searching Hugo at the ED, where Phil offers to help.

With the police involved, they soon find out Hugo has been seen getting into a truck close to Brent Docks. Connie chases Hugo and finds him. Phil finds Connie and Hugo, but arriving at the port, he collapses...

Meanwhile, Lily returns to work after her accident to be closer to Iain, but just as she musters up the courage to ask him out, work takes over. Does Lily have the time to take a chance on romance?

Elsewhere, Jez thinks his relationship is over when Mickey starts acting awkwardly.

Hugo is Connie's Grace substitute this cannot end good

Former EastEnders star Michael Greco will be returning to our screens this weekend when he pops up on Casualty in the guest role of Phil Paterson.

Michael will play police officer Phil, who gets more than he bargained for when he is called to the Emergency Department to arrest a troublemaker, only to collapse with chest pains while in pursuit of the suspect.

Once admitted, Phil is told by Casualty regular Elle that he has been putting his heart under strain with one too many heavy gym sessions. But despite the worrying news, Phil can't resist flirting with the the no-nonsense doctor –who is clearly charmed by him.

However, the pair are soon given bigger things to worry about when Connie Beauchamp's young friend Hugo goes missing – prompting Phil to discharge himself in order to find him.

Sadly, Phil's heroic actions may have bigger consequences than he could have imagined when he collapses again – but this time it's really serious.

With no time to waste, it's down to Connie to try and save Phil single-handedly, but will she be successful? Or is that the last we will see of Beppe Phil?

Michael played popular Beppe di Marco in EastEnders for four years between 1998 and 2002.

Since leaving, he went on to feature in Celebrity Love Island and Soapstar Superstar, before landing roles in Revenge and Western drama Hatfields & McCoys.

And off screen, he recently dated Hollyoaks actress Stephanie Waring.
