Coronation Street's Fiz and Tyrone left horrified as their children are taken into care
Fiz Stape and Tyrone Dobbs will be left horrified in Coronation Street in the New Year when their children are taken into care.
The couple have been targeted by their nanny Jade Rowan (Lottie Henshall), who unbeknownst to them is actually the daughter of Fiz's killer former husband John Stape.
Jade has been worming her way into the family as a way to cause distrust between Hope (Isabella Flanagan) and Fiz, with her ploy sinking to new lows next month.
Following Evelyn's recent warnings to Fiz and Tyrone that Jade should move out, the nanny will finally agree to start looking for her own flat.
Not long after Jade leaves, Fiz and Tyrone will be visited by social care provider Christine for a welfare check over concerns raised by several of the children's doctors.
Fiz, Tyrone and Evelyn are all alarmed to learn from Christine that their answers don't match Hope's story about her injury.
The couple let them in for a tearful reunion filled with hugs, but this decision to ignore the investigation guidelines leaves their social worker with no choice but to take the girls into care.
Coronation Street airs these heartbreaking scenes on Monday, January 6 and Wednesday, January 8 on ITV.

Despite Fiz's protestations, Evelyn suggests to Jade that it's time she moved out. Jade agrees to start flat hunting. Later, Fiz, Tyrone and Evelyn are interrupted by a visit from a social care provider, Christine, who reveals that various doctors have raised concerns regarding Hope's injuries.
The social worker quizzes Fiz, Tyrone and Evelyn about Hope's injuries, pointing out that their version of events doesn't match that of Hope's. The social workers call at Bessie Street and when they return to Number 9, they break the news that Hope confirmed the allegations.
This means both Hope and Ruby will have to live somewhere else while they conduct their investigation. Kevin offers to have the girls stay at his house.
Meanwhile, Nick gently suggests to David he should allow Shona's friends to visit her as it could be the last time they see her. David refuses to let the doctors remove her breathing tube and orders Nick to ask Shona's friends to come in and see her.
Later, Billy, Eileen, Roy, Audrey, Sarah and Gail visit Shona. The consultant removes Shona's breathing tube. Will she defy the odds or is David about the face the ultimate heartbreak?
Elsewhere, Daniel takes Bertie for his jabs, but after the first jab, Bertie screams the place down. Daniel refuses to let Dr Gaddas administer the rest and hurries out, upset.
Bethany calls at Daniel's flat and Daniel explains how distressed Bertie was after only one jab and he couldn't bear to put him through further pain. Bethany assures him Bertie is fine. Peter makes Daniel promise to take Bertie back for his other jabs.
Also today, Amy starts her work experience with Paula and demands she pay her a wage. Amy tells Tracy that as Paula has refused to pay her, so she'll have to pay her instead and she wants the minimum wage.
Finally, when Tara from Freshco suggests they do their next photo shoot at a different location, Gemma tells her they'll do it at home or not at all. Realising that they need the money, Gemma tells Tara they've changed their minds and they'll do the photoshoot as she suggested.

Imran advises Fiz and Tyrone that they have no choice but to comply with social services. Fiz is surprised to find the girls in her back yard but lets them in and hugs them tearfully.
The social worker calls at Number 9 and tells Fiz and Tyrone she has no choice but to take the girls into foster care.
Meanwhile, Gemma and Chesney attend the Freshco photoshoot in a posh house. While the photographer takes pictures of the quads, an exhausted Gemma and Chesney fall asleep. Chesney realises to his horror that he's late for work.
Elsewhere, when Steve refuses to take Ollie to a birthday party as he has promised to have Tracy's kitten chipped, Leanne is deeply unimpressed. Tracy implores her one-time lover to keep their night of passion a secret as her marriage is on the line. When a shocked Leanne appears in the doorway having overheard every word, Tracy's horrified.
Also, when Suki, a Gazette reporter, calls in the cafe, Aggie is touched to discover James has recommended her for a Golden Hearts award for her efforts on the Christmas Day shooting.

Meanwhile, Gemma and Chesney return home to be confronted by Dev. Dev demands that Chesney choose between him and the supermarket.

Also, Suki interviews Aggie about her live-saving attempt on Christmas Day. She's thrilled to discover Aggie's a qualified nurse, but Aggie seems reluctant to talk about it.
Finally, Imran calls at the hospital and breaks the news to David about Josh and the result of his trial.

Tracy's in for an awkward afternoon when Sally arranges a little hot tub party – unbeknown to her and Steve, who are having a dip of their own. With her fling in attendance, Tracy struggles to mask her unease as Leanne devilishly goads Tracy about what she got up to on New Year's Eve.
Steve clocks the tension and confronts Tracy, wanting to know what happened. Tracy admits she had a one night stand.
Meanwhile, when Tara shows Gemma and Chesney the photos from the shoot, they're hurt to realise they used actors to play the quads' parents as clearly they weren't good enough.
Elsewhere, as Suki takes photos of Aggie for the Golden Heart Awards, Aggie confides in Roy that the reason she gave up nursing is that a patient died under her watch and although she wasn't to blame, it made her doubt her own ability.
Also, when Geoff has a dig at Yasmeen's clothes, and insists on taking her to town to buy a new wardrobe, Yasmeen is delighted. However, when she suggests meeting Cathy in one of her new outfits, Geoff is furious.
Finally, Gary is taken in by the police. Back on the street, Fiz and Gary are relieved to discover they both stuck to the story, that the only gun they're aware of is the antique one in the shop. However, Tyrone warns Fiz that by lying to the police, she could make matters worse.

As Steve and Tracy row, Steve's gobsmacked to discover who Tracy slept with. Tracy assures Steve that she was just feeling low as he'd been ignoring her for weeks. Steve is devastated, but is their marriage over?
Later, Steve confides in Emma that he loves Tracy.
Meanwhile, realising Suki is from the Gazette, Bernie suggests she runs the story about Dev sacking a father of five. However, Dev has already suffered a guilty conscience and offered Chesney his job back.
The pair are just agreeing to let bygones be bygones, when they're interrupted by the arrival of Bernie. When Bernie makes out he's a villain, Dev's furious and orders them all out. As Chesney rails at Bernie for scuppering his job, Gemma realises she has no choice but to sign Tara's Freshco deal.
Elsewhere, Cathy confides in Brian that she's worried about Yasmeen as she's always cancelling their dates and seems obsessed with cleaning her house.
Also, Aggie assures David that the doctors are doing everything they can for Shona and not to give up hope.
