TV presenter Mark Speight, whose fiancee died in a bath after taking drugs, has been reported missing.
He found Natasha Collins, 31, dead at their flat in St John's Wood, north-west London, on 3 January.
Mr Speight, who fronted BBC children's show SMart, was arrested on suspicion of murder and supplying Class A drugs but no charges were brought.
The 42-year-old was last seen walking along Chamberlayne Road, Kensal Rise, north-west London, on Monday afternoon.
Police said Mr Speight was dropped off at Wood Green station, north London, on Monday morning.
He was later seen walking towards Chelmsford Square in Kensal Rise at about 1315 BST.
In February he announced he was quitting the programme SMart as his "tragic loss" had left him unable to continue.
Since Miss Collins' death he had been living with her mother in Norfolk Avenue, Enfield, north London.
Police said family and friends raised the alarm when he failed to turn up for a meeting with a friend in Covent Garden at 1530 BST. Mr Speight, who is 6ft, was last seen wearing a brown suit jacket with dark jeans and a brown flat cap.
Singer Doherty is sent to prison
Babyshambles frontman Pete Doherty has been jailed for 14 weeks for violating his probation and for using drugs.
Judge Davinder Lachar handed the musician the sentence at a court hearing in west London.
Doherty had been given a suspended jail sentence for possession of drugs and driving illegally in October last year.
His supervision order required him to make regular visits to court for progress reports, as well as take part in a drug rehabilitation programme.
The BBC's David Sillito said the singer had missed one appointment with his probation team and been late for another.
The punishment means Doherty has been forced to postpone a concert at the Royal Albert Hall in April.
The gig would have been his biggest solo show yet.
The show is due to be rescheduled and all tickets will be valid for the new date once it has been announced.
Glastonbury appearance
The star's record label said in a statement: "Peter was very much looking forward to the show and would like to offer his sincerest apologies to all his fans and to all those concerned."
Speaking to BBC 6 Music, Babyshambles drummer Adam Ficek said: "I feel gutted for him. Obviously he's going to find it really difficult in there but all I can say is that the band is going to stick with him as always."
He said they planned to continue writing and and making music with him and will get in touch with Doherty as soon they can.

"As far as I see it I hope we can really look positively on this and when he comes out he can learn from the mistakes he's made and we can persevere with the path that Babyshambles was treading before," added his bandmate.
Under current rules, the Doherty is likely to serve around a month of his sentence.
But if he spends the full 14 weeks in prison, he will miss a headlining slot on the Park stage at the Glastonbury Festival.
In the past the singer, who rose to fame after forming the Libertines in 1997, has admitted that staying off taking drugs was not easy. Last November he admitted suffering a drug relapse and vowed to seek further to help him tackle his heroin addiction. Doherty, who used to date model Kate Moss, has repeatedly appeared in court for various drug offences.
About bloody time!! He's got away with more than enough, the general public would have been sent to prison long before now on the charges he's had.
Gethin Jones is quitting Blue Peter after three years.
The BBC confirmed that the 30-year-old is leaving at the end of the current series in June "to explore other avenues".
Jones, who finished third in the last season of Strictly Come Dancing, had always planned to step down after three years, his spokeswoman said.
Since becoming the show's 31st presenter in April 2005, he has been filmed flying with the Red Arrows, fighting as a Samurai warrior in Japan and climbing the four highest mountains in the UK. He was also the first civilian to complete a 30 mile "yomp" with the Royal Marine Commandos.
He said: "It's very sad to be jumping ship, but I will still be on-screen until the end of the series whilst working on other projects. I've loved it, lived it ... and now I feel the time is right to leave it."
BBC Children's controller Richard Deverell said: "Gethin has more than lived up to our very high expectations of Blue Peter presenters with his total commitment, willingness to try anything and limitless good humour."
It was recently reported that he will co-present an entertainment news show on BBC News 24.
Jonathan Ross has revealed that his pet dog once interfered when he was having sexual intercourse with his wife.
The TV host claimed that the animal began licking his genitals while he was making love to his partner.
Speaking on Alexa Chung's new chatshow The Wall, Ross said: "One time he started licking my balls.
"I'm lying on top of her and then I feel the dog. I didn't want to say to my wife, 'There's a dog licking my balls', so I started trying to shake it off.
"I could see her thinking, 'He's been watching porn or something', and she went, 'What are you doing?' I said, 'The dog's licking my balls',and she said, 'Get off!'"

Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly have purchased the rights to their old TV shows Byker Grove and SM:TV Live.
The pair rose to fame on kids' drama Byker Grove where they played PJ and Duncan. They later embarked on a pop career before presenting the Saturday morning programme SM:TV Live with Cat Deeley.
Speaking to The Sun, Dec said: "The shows are an important part of our history so we wanted to take over the rights. That way, if anyone wants to show them, they have to come to us to get permission."
A friend of the presenters revealed that they were eager to purchase the rights to stop digital channels repeating their old shows.
"It's no secret that Ant and Dec are hugely popular so re-running Byker Grove would make sense. But it could prove a bit embarrassing for the guys with their past on such public display."
The shows will now become property of Ant & Dec's Gallowgate Productions TV company.
