Will Young says he is preparing for life after his pop career.

Will revealed he is writing a cabaret and a kids' show and would also like to get involved in documentary making.

According to The Sun he said: "I reckon I've got two more years of being a pop star then I'd like to be recognised for something else.

"The pop star thing is cool but it's a business, which does get frustrating. I've got a couple of shows that I'm creating. One's a stage show - a sort of political, satire-ish cabaret funny-odd thing.

"I want it to be some sort of slant on modern politics. I might take one issue and have that running through it.

"Oh yeah, I'd write it and then star in it. I also came up with a kids' show idea and I'm doing a pilot for a documentary.

"Slowly, I'll phase out music and become a svengali in the documentary world."
