Coronation Street Spoilers 2024

Coronation Street's producer Iain MacLeod has discussed the show's plans for Lauren Bolton heading into 2024.
The ITV soap introduced Cait Fitton as Lauren last year, when the troubled character played a role in Max Turner's far-right extremism storyline. She returned as a show regular in summer this year.
Speaking about Lauren's future on a recent press call, MacLeod told Digital Spy and other media: "There's definitely more to come from her. She'll have quite a big role to play next year.
"I think the way Cait fits in is absolutely marvellous ? in the best tradition of those tearaway characters that do so well. They go and live in Roy's house or work in his caf?. My mind is drawn to characters like Fiz and Becky McDonald. I think Lauren is very much in that mould."
He continued: "So there's more to come. We'll see a complexity to her character that maybe we weren't aware of. We'll now explore all the different elements of Cait's range.
"She's quite punchy and she's quite funny. We'll see her get to be in quite a romantic set of stories, but she will continue to be quite troubled.
"There is more to come from Lauren as Roy's next project and in her own right."
Viewers recently saw Ryan Connor move in with Lauren in a flat at the Weatherfield Precinct.
Their friendship turned sour within weeks when Ryan wanted to move out again and Lauren blackmailed him to stay, using her knowledge of his affair with Daisy Midgeley to her advantage.
Cait recently explained: "Lauren has never had any stability in her life. She's gone from being with her dad in Griff's flat to being at home with her mum, being homeless then being put in Audrey's salon, going to Max's and then finally having her own flat.
"Now that she's in her own flat, she is looking for someone to share it with. Lauren just needs to be loved but most importantly, loved by herself, which was something that Ryan was helping her with."

Speaking earlier this year about Peter's exit on Boxing Day, Coronation Street's producer Iain MacLeod commented: "There's a huge two-hander between [Peter and Carla] ? more or less they are the only two cast in the episode.
"It's a greatest hits compilation for those of you that have been big fans of Peter and Carla since the start. It picks over every single detail of who they are, what they've been as a couple, what they want for their future and what happiness looks like for them.
"It's building towards an exit for Peter, which is really brilliant and bittersweet and feels like Corrie at its very best. We often think that Peter and Carla are the Burton and Taylor of the cobbles and we want it to have this highly emotional, very nuanced and realistic ending, which I think is what the writers have achieved."
Other characters tipped to take centre stage this Christmas include Stu Carpenter, the Bailey family and the Winter-Browns.
Coronation Street announces 2024 kidnap plot for Adam Barlow
https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/cor...w-2024-kidnap/
Coronation Street has revealed that Adam Barlow will be kidnapped in the show's New Year's Day episode.
Adam is targeted by bad boy Damon Hay, who wants revenge after being run out of town by the lawyer earlier this year.
As 2024 begins in Weatherfield, Adam's estranged wife Sarah is worried about him as he has suffered another panic attack.
Adam promises Sarah that he's feeling much better, so she suggests that they should meet for a drink.
Despite his past struggle to forgive Sarah for cheating on him with Damon, an optimistic Adam starts to hope that they could make a fresh start.
Later at the pub, Sarah tells Adam that she has been researching panic attacks online and wants them to tackle his anxiety together.
The pair leave The Rovers after their drink together and go their separate ways, with neither realising that Damon is back in town and watching them from across the street.
Adam heads back to his office, but a man follows him in a van. Before long, Adam has been overpowered and finds himself tied up in the back of the vehicle.
Corrie fans will have to tune in to see exactly what happens to Adam during his ordeal, but the good news is that he's walking free again later in the week.
Adam refuses to forget about his kidnap nightmare and decides to tip off the police about what happened.
Local policeman Craig Tinker questions Damon about Adam's kidnap, but Sarah steps in and explains that she was with Damon the previous afternoon and is his alibi. How will Adam react?
Coronation Street airs these scenes on Monday, January 1 and Tuesday, January 2 at 8pm on ITV1.
