The German-born actress appears in the two-hour season premiere, which is directed by executive producer Katie Jacobs.

Fellow House executive producer David Shore recently told us, "Those two hours take place basically exclusively within the institution" over a period of six months, as damaged doc Gregory House's (Hugh Laurie) attempts to recover from the hallucinations that crippled him at the end of season five.

It’s the news Cameron and Chase fans have longed to hear: After two years spent mostly on the sidelines, Jennifer Morrison and Jesse Spencer will be back in the trenches on House this season.

“They are both thrown back into their old jobs,” Morrison told us at last night’s Teen Choice Awards. “It’s been great actually. I have been working a lot and there are things that happen to House very early in the season that have a domino effect on all of the other characters.”

Those “things” involve a shake-up at Princeton Plainsboro that finds Foreman filling in for an ailing House as the hospital’s top doc. The transition is rocky to say the least. “Cameron was always very close and protective of House,” she says. “And to have her mentor be away in an asylum makes her contemplate life and career and him. Having him gone affects everyone he works with, personally and professionally.”

Further complicating matters will be Cameron and Chase’s status as newlyweds. “This season starts a few months from where we left off last season in the finale and Chase and Cameron are finding their groove as a married couple,” reveals Morrison, who hints at some friction now that they’re working alongside each other again. “That might put some strain on the marriage.

“They’re taking things up a notch [this season],” Morrison continues. “I think the audience will be able to enjoy seeing new things from all of us.”

Jennifer Morrison has reportedly agreed to leave Fox drama House.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the star's exit is a creative decision on the part of the show's producers.

The actress, who plays Dr Allison Cameron on the series, is the first of the original castmembers to depart. She is believed to have filmed her last scenes earlier this week.

Morrison's final episode is expected to air in November.

Suspicions about her future in the show were raised last week when she failed to attend a premiere screening in Hollywood.

Jennifer Morrison, who has recently sat on the back burner on House, is leaving the Fox series, Entertainment Weekly reports.

Morrison has played Cameron, a member of House's team, since the beginning of the series. She did not quit, and her exit was a creative decision by the producers, sources told EW.

Jesse Spencer revealed to TVGuide.com at the House premiere that he has an upcoming storyline that involves "medical malpractice." E! Online says that the storyline will contribute to Cameron's exit, and that House (Hugh Laurie) will turn Chase against Cameron.

Cameron's character is not being killed off, and the door is open for her return, EW said. Show reps had no comment.

Look for House to throw himself into his work more than usual once he discovers that Cuddy is dating Lucas (Michael Weston). Poor House even follows Cuddy to a medical conference to try to get closer to her, and that's when he finds out about the other man.

Taub (Peter Jacobsen) will be back on House's team before you know it. Episode eight features a medically interesting porn-star case that House uses to seduce Taub and Thirteen (Olivia Wilde) back to the team. Taub plays hard to get for a while, but the whole team (sans poor Jennifer Morrison's Cameron) should be back together full-time come November sweeps.

Olivia Wilde has claimed that her House co-star Jennifer Morrison will return to the series.

Earlier this year, it was confirmed that Morrison - Dr Allison Cameron on the Fox drama - would be departing the series midseason.

However, Wilde, who plays Huntington's sufferer Thirteen, told E! Online that her co-star will be coming back to the show in the role of Cameron.

"As far as I know she's coming back," Wilde said. "I think now she's not in a few episodes, but she's coming back. None of us really knew what was going on, but at this point, I've heard the same information as you."

Wilde also said that she is unsurprised at the producers' decision to write her out of the show.

She explained: "We're used to them being unpredictable. My character went to Thailand for a little while... you never know! That's what makes the show great and makes us really appreciate the shows we have."

House continues Mondays at 8pm on Fox in the US and Sundays at 9pm on Sky1 in the UK.

Jesse Spencer will not be leaving House, despite his co-star and on-screen wife Jennifer Morrison's impending departure.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the 30-year old, who was previously engaged to Morrison, is happy to stay on the Fox series and see Chase cope with the loss of Cameron.

A House insider is quoted as saying: "Chase is very clearly off his game and struggling with the loss of Cameron."

In an upcoming episode, Chase will apparently punch House in the face after the head of diagnostics makes derogatory remarks about Chase in Cameron's absence.

Olivia Wilde, who plays Thirteen on the medical drama, recently claimed that Morrison will return to the show. Her co-star Lisa Edelstein also suggested that her departure would not be permanent.

House continues Mondays at 8pm on Fox in the US and Sundays at 9pm on Sky1 in the UK.

Jesse Spencer has said that a "new team" has formed since Jennifer Morrison's Cameron departed House.

In an interview with TV Guide, the 30-year-old actor, who plays Morrison's on-screen husband Chase, said that her departure has opened up more storyline possibilities.

"We sort of have a new team again because now basically Chase joins the team. It's a slightly new dynamic with him on the team. He asks to come back on the team because he feels like it's the only way he's going to be able to face his demons and what he's done.

"He comes back on the team so it will be Chase, Foreman, Thirteen and Taub. I still keep doing the surgeries, which is kind of fun because I like doing that stuff."

Asked if anyone new would be coming into the show, he responded: "I don't think anyone will take Cameron's place."

House continues Mondays at 8pm on Fox in the US and Sundays at 9pm on Sky1 in the UK.

Jennifer Morrison has confirmed her permanent departure from Fox series House.

It was recently announced that the 30-year-old actress, who has played Cameron on the medical programme since its 2003 premiere, will be exiting the show.

However, her co-stars have fuelled rumours that she may return. Olivia Wilde, aka Thirteen, claimed earlier this month that Morrison would reprise her role in the near future.

Speaking on today's The Bonnie Hunt Show, Morrison addressed the speculation. Asked by Hunt, "You're done with House?" she replied: "I am, as far as I know, yes."

House continues Mondays at 8pm on Fox in the US and Sundays at 9pm on Sky1 in the UK.

House star Olivia Wilde has suggested that it will not be easy getting the team back together on the medical drama.

The actress, who plays Dr Remy 'Thirteen' Hadley in the series, told TV Guide that Dr House (Hugh Laurie) would have a tough time reuniting his diagnostics group.

"What you have to remember is House wasn't the one who fired Taub and Thirteen. Taub quit and Thirteen was fired by her own boyfriend," she explained.

"It's up to him to find a way to bring them back, but it's not going to be as easy as he thought. And this next episode reveals just what it is for the doctors that is so addictive to being on the team, what it is about working for House that gets them going, and why it's the only option for them."

Wilde went on to say that her character's relationship with Dr Foreman (Omar Epps) would be "bumpy for a little while", adding: "It would be dishonest for us to come back from breaking up with each other and having a smooth ride.

"They're both very good at bottling things up, so it's not the most communicative relationship. Things often come out in bursts, and I think we see that because they work in a high stress environment."

House continues Mondays at 8pm on Fox in the US and Sundays at 9pm on Sky1 in the UK.

Lisa Edelstein has revealed that an upcoming episode of House will focus on her character Cuddy.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly Edelstein said that she is enjoying the scenes, but admitted that she is finding it exhausting.

Discussing the episode, shceduled to air Monday, February 8, she said: "What's interesting about it is it lets you know what her world is like when you don't see her. When House does what he does.

"You see everything she has to deal with, and you get a better understanding of where she's coming from."

She also revealed that she has filmed a 'partially nude' shower scene with Michael Weston (Lucas).

"There's some sexual activity, there's some partial nudity. The writer, Tommy Moran, said he couldn't imagine writing an episode without having me take a shower," she said.

She added of the plot: "You know, we all have to go through things that we have to go through in life. And I think Cuddy is trying to explore having a relationship that would be considered normal.

"I myself have done this. It doesn't work. But you have to try."

House continues Mondays at 8pm on Fox in the US and Sundays at 9pm on Sky1 in the UK.

House star Lisa Edelstein has revealed that she is rooting for Cuddy and House to get together.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, the 43-year-old actress, who has played Dr Lisa Cuddy on the Fox show since 2004, also praised her co-star Hugh Laurie for his dedication to the show.

"Their timing just really sucks," she said. "As soon as he was emotionally prepared to give [a relationship] a shot, she kind of gave up. But I’m rooting for them."

Discussing the long hours the cast work, she added: "I never doubted what Hugh was going through every week. You get up at 4 a.m. on Monday, you work 14 hours every day, and you have no life basically.

"But it’s a hell of a lot better than working in a coal mine. I don’t think Hugh ever forgets his good fortune, and I certainly don’t."

Jennifer Morrison has signed up to star in Broadway play The Miracle Worker, seemingly ruling out a return to House.

The actress has been cast alongside Abigail Breslin, Alison Pill and Matthew Modine in the production, according to Entertainment Weekly.

Since Miracle Worker begins previews in February, it is unlikely that Morrison will return to Fox series House, which she departed earlier this year.

The 30-year-old recently claimed that she found her exit from the medical drama "sort of confusing".

The producers of House are apparently considering airing a new wedding plot on the show.

The season five finale saw Cameron and Chase - played by Jennifer Morrison and Jesse Spencer respectively - tie the knot, and producers are reportedly toying with the idea of another pair of characters getting hitched.

According to Entertainment Weekly, a marriage proposal will feature in the second half of the drama's sixth season, which currently airs Monday nights on Fox.

Cuddy and Lucas are currently the only couple on the show following Thirteen and Foreman's breakup last year and Jennifer Morrison's departure from the series, which marked the end of Cameron and Chase's marriage.

David Strathairn has signed up to guest star on House.

Last month, it was announced that Hugh Laurie, who plays the titular doctor on the series, will make his directorial debut on an upcoming episode.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Katie Jacobs, the medical drama's executive producer, said that Laurie "hand-picked" Strathairn for a role in the episode.

"He’s a patient who has scenes with Dr. House," she revealed. "I’m excited to [watch] the two of them in a room together. Hugh really wanted him to play the role and [David] responded."

Jacobs also teased that the Laurie-helmed 17th episode will have a different format to the rest of the series.

House continues Mondays at 8pm on Fox.

Jesse Spencer has revealed that his House character has a "dark" story ahead.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, the actor - Dr Chase on the medical drama - said that he is looking forward to the upcoming season six finale.

"Season six has been awesome and they've been writing some really good stuff for me," he said. "It's been quite dark, but it's been really fun to play.

"We're coming to the end of season six now... It'll be good. It'll be fun."

Spencer also described the "new energy" on set since his co-star and ex-fiancée Jennifer Morrison departed the show last year.

"We've got a new team now so it's different. But there's a new energy and it's good. She might be coming back at some point," he said.

House returns to Fox Monday, January 25 at 8pm.

Jennifer Morrison 'returning to House'

Jennifer Morrison is reportedly returning to House.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the actress - Cameron on the medical drama - will reprise her role before the season six finale.

A show insider is quoted as saying: "You will see Cameron again on House before the end of the season."

Morrison departed the series in November last year when her character Cameron left Princeton Plainsboro following the murder of a patient by her husband Chase.

It was later announced that she had been cast in Broadway play The Miracle Worker. It is thought that she will film her comeback scenes before the play begins previews in February.

Lost grad Cynthia Watros has found herself one hell of a plum role on House.

Sources confirm exclusively that the Emmy-winning actress has been cast as Wilson’s first ex-wife (he’s had three) who comes back into his life as his new girlfriend.

And this isn’t some passing fling. I’m told Watros is on board for multiple episodes, the first of which is slated to air in April.

This marks the first significant romantic entanglement for House’s BFF since the death of Amber nearly two years ago.

Jennifer Morrison will return to House during episode 17, the show's director has announced.

Last year, it was confirmed that Morrison had been written out of the medical drama as Dr Allison Cameron.

She later hinted that it was not her decision to depart, insisting that she would never leave House. The same week, the show's producers revealed that she would be reprising her role later this season.

During a Q&A with fans on Twitter, director Greg Yaitanes confirmed that Morrison will be back during episode 17, which is scheduled to air mid-March. "Ep17 she is back for an ep," he wrote.

House continues Mondays at 8pm on Fox in the US and will return to UK screens in March on Sky1 in the UK.
