Sunday, 5th June
Liz is summoned to Steve’s flat, where her worried son informs her he has recently visited his dad in prison. Steve pleads with his mother - Jim is upset by her plans for divorce, can’t she give her marriage one last chance? An adamant Liz sticks to her guns, it’s over between her and Jim and she must look to the future. It’s not long before Liz has to face her first decision as a single woman when Deirdre informs her that Bob (Keith Drinkel), whom Liz had met recently at a speed dating night, has called and left his number. Bob wants Liz to get in touch to arrange a date. Will Liz put herself first for once and take up Bob’s offer of a date?

Elsewhere, in a bid to repay their recent kindness, Keith offers to clear Emily and Norris’s guttering. He enlists Craig’s help and it soon becomes clear that Keith intends to let his grandson do the dirty work whilst he supervises from the safety of the bottom of the ladder. It’s not long before the amateur pair find themselves in trouble and Craig is left in a precarious position.

Shelley is anxious about what the street residents are making of her continued absence from the bar. Both staff and regulars are becoming increasingly suspicious. Having been thwarted by a protective Charlie in his previous attempt to see Shelley, Ciaran urges Fred to have a go. Will Fred succeed or can Charlie once again keep prying eyes away from the injured Shelley?

Meanwhile, Tyrone is dismayed at Jack and Vera’s early return from Formby. The exasperated mechanic explains to a sympathetic Jack that Maria was going to spend the week with him at Number Nine. Tyrone pleads with Jack - the week was really important to him and he begs Jack to resume his holiday with Vera. Will a reluctant Jack be able to persuade Vera to return to Formby with him?


Monday, 6th June at 20:30
One-hour special
Having hid away in her bedroom for over a week, Shelley feels it’s time to come clean and face the public but Charlie quickly dismisses the idea.

However, a concerned Fred can take no more of the strange situation and whilst Charlie’s at work, he once again attempts to gain entry to his bar manager’s bedroom. Panic-stricken Shelley phones Charlie’s mobile and he rushes to her aid. He berates Fred for disturbing his girlfriend and raises even more suspicions when he uses his skills to fit new locks on Shelley’s door.

Charlie’s latest strong-arm antics are too much for Shelley’s worried friends and despite Ken’s warnings not too get involved Deirdre decides to take matters into her own hands. It seems Deirdre’s intervention will have almost immediate effect when a familiar face once again strides purposefully into the Rover’s determined to get to the bottom of Charlie and Shelley’s strange behaviour.

After determinedly brushing Charlie aside in order to gain entry, A stunned Bev takes in the sight of Shelley’s bruised eye. This is all the evidence she needs, and believing Charlie to have inflicted her daughter’s injuries, she begs Shelley to end her relationship with bully-boy builder. Shelley protests Charlie’s innocence and attempts to forcefully drag her distraught mother out, but this emotional confrontation spills into the bar and is witnessed by the shocked staff and regulars. After Deirdre intervenes and leads a hysterical Bev away from the scene, Shelley is at pains to convince everyone that the man she loves has not hit her. Meanwhile, a menacing Charlie quietly simmers, refusing to discuss the situation in front the others. Will Shelley be able to dispel her mother’s accusations and how will Charlie react to Bev’s sudden reappearance? Have the day’s turbulent events proved too much for their fragile union?

Meanwhile, having spent the night together at her flat, Bob and Liz part company with an early morning kiss on the doorstep. This tender peck on the cheek is witnessed by Steve who quickly rounds on Bob, but Liz defiantly puts her son in his place. As far as she is concerned she is a free agent again and he better get used to it. However, Liz later confides in Deirdre that she is having doubts about dating the clearly smitten Bob. Will a romantic gesture from her new admirer help Liz decide whether to take things further?

Elsewhere, despite numerous attempts Sally still has not managed to secure a new job. She worries that with the drop in income the Webster’s are going to struggle to find next terms school fees. Desperate, she takes a job a Diggory’s bakery but how long will she be able to put up his over -friendly nature?

Things are getting a little too close for comfort for Danny (Bradley Walsh) and Leanne when they are nearly caught out in a passionate clinch. The day begins on a frosty note when he discusses ex-wife Carol’s alcohol problem with concerned son Jamie. However things begin to hot up when he later meets up with Leanne back at Janice’s (Vicky Entwistle) flat. The pair flirt and are soon passionately kissing. Janice disturbs the moment and is curious to find Danny once again alone with Leanne. Will Danny’s fast talking put Janice off the scent?

Also, still basking in their happy news, Dev and Sunita keep mum about their impending addition. Sunita wants to wait until she’s had her three-month scan before going public about her pregnancy. Dev agrees but starts to prepare when, without consulting his wife, he decides Sunita will have to cut down her hours at the shop and offers Sally a job. After the earlier debacle at the bakery, a grateful Sally accepts the job but how will she cope the step backwards on the career ladder?


Wednesday, 8th June
With Charlie having walked out on her, a bereft Shelley sits alone in her room, refusing to talk to anyone. Meanwhile, still convinced Charlie is physically abusing her daughter, Bev, reports him to the police. The investigating officer takes down the details but informs a disappointed Bevy that they can take no further action unless Shelley herself makes a complaint. After having yet another confrontation with Bevy, Charlie eventually returns to the Rovers to pay Shelley a visit and she begs him to give her another chance. With Charlie, as always, in the driving seat, will a desperate Shelley be able to convince him to give their relationship another go?

Meanwhile, tired of the smell of chip fat, Cilla persuades a reluctant Les to take her out for a slap up meal. Cilla’s friend, Yana manages to wangle an invite for her and her new boyfriend, known only as Big H. Cilla’s choice of venue looks set to break the Battersby bank balance, and when Yana’s date fails to materialize she seeks solace in the wine list. Unlucky Les looks set to foot the bill as the evening descends into chaos.

Elsewhere, Sally’s starts her new job at Dev’s shop. Sally is just learning the ropes when a startled Sunita arrives on the scene unaware that Dev has taken on an extra pair of hands. An angry Sunita advises Dev she is pregnant and not dying, and employing Sally is an unnecessary expense. Having been put in his place will Dev have the heart to sack Sally on her first day in the job?

Also, Tyrone and Maria make the most of Jack and Vera’s absence but the amorous mechanic faces Kevin’s wrath when he makes the most of his tea–break. Will Tyrone stand up to Kevin?


Friday, 10th June
Charlie urges a nervous Shelley to be brave and face the world again. Shelley’s unsure, feeling she’s not quite ready yet, but determined not to let Charlie down again she manages a few anxious moments behind the bar before fleeing once again to the sanctuary of her room. It’s apparent the turmoil of the last few weeks has taken their toll on poor Shelley. Preferring the solace of her own company, is the troubled bar manager developing a form of agoraphobia? Has Charlie now got her exactly where he wants her?

Meanwhile, Liz and Bev compare notes about Charlie and are shocked to discover he has previously tried it on with both women. They both come to same conclusion, feeling that he is no good for Shelley and they resolve that they must do something to stop him before he ruins her life. Liz arranges for Bev to stay on in Weatherfield with her for a few days in order to keep a close eye on the situation.

Elsewhere, Dev and Sunita go public with the news of their pregnancy, much to the joy of their friends and neighbours. But it’s not all joy in the Alahan household as Dev takes Sunita to view his idea of their dream house. Will Sunita share Dev’s vision?

Also, Danny offers Sally a lifeline when he offers her a job at the factory and Tracy suggests to Steve that she and Amy move in with him.

does anyone know how and when shelley discovers the truth about charlie and leaves him?
