Neighbours 20th anniversary episode will be the funeral of a much loved character.
Speculation is rife as 30 old cast members are rumoured to be making a comeback for a week of special episodes to be aired in July.
But which character will meet a sticky end? :eek:

Isn't it Lou, Karl does die but is revived at the scene. But I am sure Lou dies.
I thought that it was Gus and Lana that died in the fire. The school kids make a shrine to Lana
gus and lana do die in the fire but later in the year in australia lou dies. earlier threads have a storyline about karl being revived/dying. :)
Lana doesnt die in the fire, she goes back to Canada.

well i've heard that lana leaves for canada, lou dies but NOT in the fire and Karl has a heartattack but doesn't die. Gus is the only one to die in the fire BUT...he was murdered before it started!but by who?
karl does not have his heart attack for a while yet not now

OMG - i jst got such a fright - i read on a website that gives neighbours episode details that "Karl dies of a heart attack on a lonely country road." :eek: However, on further reading a few episodes on it says..."Can Izzy convince Karl she's a changed woman?" So i guess he is revived. It would be so weird without Karl, theyd have to get a new doctor!! Also said "Karl unwittingly breaks Susan's heart all over again" Feel so sorry for suz.

Just read the austrailian website for what's happening next week there and Karl dies of a heartache on his own on a country road, so that should be aired here in about 3 months time.

In episodes airing in oz next week Karl has a heart attack on a country road! He rings both susan and then izzy, he gets through to Susan and tells her he loves her and is sorry for all he has done to her, and leaves a message on Izzy's phone. He is later found and revived. Izzy and Susan are set to have a major cat fight when Izzy realises Karl phoned Susan before her!!!!
Not sure what the outcome of all this will be! Will Karl and Susan ever get back together? (apparantly yes - eventually) Will Karl ever find out about the baby? (nobody seems to have any clue on this one at all). Guess we can only wait and see.
Rumour has it that old lou will be the long-time cast member to pop his clogs and float off to that big ol' house in the sky.
In the episodes airing here at the mo Gus dies in the fire, Lana leaves to return to Canada.

yeh i know but its not as good and as detailed as the australia one although i guess it is a australian soap!
no, karl dies in aus next week so he'll go from our screens in about 2 months. suse says she loves karl but wont act on her feelings and, yes im like 80% sure karl finds out about the baby - one way or another. hope that helps!!!
omg neighbours has been so good latley can't wait 4 the climax of the whole izzy, karl and susan ting.

Hiya i'm really confused about the whol karl dying thing. We had a thing on our neighbours website that Alan Fletcher (karl) has signed up for another year on the soap so how can he die? I really hope he doesnt coz he also sed that he can see him and susan getting back together!!!! Plz can some1 help me coz evy1 is saying different things? x :confused:
Karl DOESN'T die, he is mentioned in the latest spoilers after his heart attack and like you say, the actor has signed a new contract.

HE DOESNT DIE! It does say on the website 'Karl dies of a heart attack on a lonely country road'.....BUT if you read later on (i read it of TVtome episode guide) he is mentioned in later episodes..so how would he do that if he was dead?! :D

I think that the post was designed to raise this amount of confusion so as people wouldn't know if he died or not due to the amount of rumours but he is most def not going to die!
Either Susan or Izzy manages to find him and he is revived, Alan has signed a new contract so will not be popping his clogs anytime soon.
Rumour has it though that the death for 2005 will be a well-loved long-term character and my money for one is on Lou.

sorry to have to break down the conversation but whats different about the australian aired show and the english aired show?!? please tell me! U guys were talking about it earlier!
as far as i know there is no difference betwwen australian and english shows although i read somewhere that sometimes our shows have bits cut by the bbc!!!
On the subject of Lou dying and cast members returning, how about they do a simiilar thing to what Home and Away did with Alf and Ailsa, and have a ghostly Madge come to beckon Lou on to the great pub in the sky??? Surreal and classic all at the same time, or just stupid?
