Pre-warning: Some of the issues in this story are based on spoilers or rumours. I am warning you now, so if you a) don’t read this or b) ignore this, that’s you, and do not complain to me for ruining anything for you. Moan over.

Pairings: Justin/Becca, but there is some Ali/Nicole and some Ben/Lisa too probably... but maybe not... in just depends on how it all goes. Oh, and Mandy/Tony probably.

This is set straight after the Friday 27th episode, and this has some great twists along the way and I am expecting it to be quite long with a number of parts.

Please leave a comment if you feel so inclined to do so. Enjoy!

Part One

Becca sighed as she opened the door to Mandy and Tony’s old flat. Justin had been in tears trying to convince her he hadn’t caused the explosion. Becca believed him, but that was what was tearing her into pieces.

She would have almost broken down herself if Ali hadn’t appeared. She had felt her voice shaking as she talked to Justin, but she had kept her cool the best she could. She had been so tempted to take Justin into her arms, tell him everything was going to be okay. She knew it wasn’t his fault. But did she?

How well did she really know the student she’d helped so much? She’d seen him at his highest and lowest. She knew all of her students, but none as well as she knew Justin. She’d never cared, and probably never would care, for any of them this much.

Becca didn’t doubt him – never had. She was convinced he hadn’t caused the explosion but couldn’t admit it to herself. She was risking her job for him, which, overall, made no sense.

Becca threw her jacket onto the sofa, and then fell upon it herself. She looked back down at the picture of him on her phone. She didn’t see a criminal. She saw a boy hugely lost, held firmly in place by his disastrous past. He didn’t quite have that young, carefree teenager look, but held a steely gaze, looking on strongly, almost nervously. ‘Please don’t let it be you Justin,’ she thought, sighing heavily.

“What did Miss. Hayton want?” Ali questioned, following Justin into the kitchen.

“Nothing...” Justin muttered.

“It didn’t look like nothing. You both looked upset.”

“Just forget it Ali.” Please, just forget it. Ali stared at his stepbrother for a few moments, before picking up an apple from the side and walking towards his room.

Justin hit his fist lightly on the work surface and closed his eyes gently, still seeing the combination of anger and sadness drawn over Becca’s face. He could kill Macki right now. He wanted to really hurt him, just as he had done to him. He swore under his breath, and looked around the room.

He was really going to have to decide where his loyalties lay; Macki or himself. Not really a huge toss-up between the two. Macki was nothing but a piece of rubbish you could just toss aside. Unfortunately, no matter how worthless he was, he would undoubtedly want revenge if Justin told anyone about what he had done.

Justin supposed he would just have to deal with the consequences.

He would tell Becca.
