4688: 'Talk Among Your Selves'
Airing Monday, 6th June 2005
Paul prevents Lil from seeing Izzy, who uses the distraction to secretly nabs his jacket. Izzy goes to the new bar and scans the possibly incriminating button, but she’s nearly sprung as Paul brings Lil by to look around. Izzy is obliged to hide and watch Paul and Lil draw closer. Lil even has a moment where she sees him as an object of desire – and quickly backs off. Paul, natural, boyish and sweet, is unaware of her sudden insight. Meanwhile, Izzy faxes a scan of the button to the police and places an anonymous call to them, learning they’ve connected the button to the Lassiter’s fire and Gus’s murder.
Boyd remains troubled by his performance at the debate. Later, he finds himself unable to phrase a simple sentence. It’s only momentary but when Boyd doesn’t turn up to help at the General Store, Sky’s troubled. We find Boyd explaining why he couldn’t make it – to an empty room. There’s something terribly wrong with Boyd - but he’s oblivious to the fact.
Karl hides at his flat, exhausted, sleep-deprived, scared and alone. Although Izzy asks him to come to the bar opening, Karl is troubled by the crowd and leaves before she sees him.
Toadie’s partner, Tim, castigates him for an inappropriate choice of girlfriend – his career and their partnership could suffer. Eva sees Toadie’s attitude change and Toadie’s forced to reassess. Finally he comes out, proud to be a larrikin lawyer!
Despite last minute bustle, the Lassiter’s complex reopens with great success.

Trashed & Treasured
Airing Tuesday, 7th June 2005
Boyd’s strange behaviour continues and while he’s doing his best to hide it from friends and family, the cracks are beginning to show. Sky’s annoyed when he forgets to show up to help at the General Store and Summer begins to suspect that something is troubling her brother. Worried, Boyd does an internet search on his symptoms. He’s terrified when he learns that he may be developing schizophrenia.
With her estrangement from Dylan and Stingray still troubling her, Janelle invites the boys to go ‘hard rubbish’ scavenging (an old family tradition). Deciding Janelle has been persecuted enough, Stingray agrees to go and eventually, even Dylan softens his hardline. A touching reconciliation ensues. For Janelle’s world to be complete, all she needs is her daughters to move to Erinsborough and have the family reunited. Can Dylan bring himself to live with Janelle again?
Eva is turned down for a singing gig because she ‘doesn’t look right’. It’s a clear-cut case of discrimination and Toadie is adamant they sue, but Eva resists - she doesn’t want to be a poster girl in a fight for the rights of larger women. She storms off, leaving Toadie afraid he has pushed her too far.
Susan meets Gary at a yoga class. He’s charming; they have a few laughs, and when he suggests going for a drink, Susan agrees. What she doesn’t know is that he is Gary Evans – the man that offered to pay Sindi for ‘personal services’.

Lyn confronts Andy about lying to her that he doesn’t have children. Andy’s explanation is painful and heartfelt but it’s not enough to win Lyn around. She ends their relationship.
Izzy continues to amass an increasing amount of incriminating evidence against Paul. When Paul discovers that his jacket is missing (the one he wore when he killed Gus), his suspicions turn to Izzy. Paul observes Izzy’s changed behaviour towards him, privately noting the subtle power shift between them. He is shocked, however, when Izzy reveals that she knows all about his dirty business deals and his involvement in Gus’s death. Izzy now holds all the cards.
Meanwhile, with the threat of Paul neutralised, Izzy focuses her attention on helping Karl out of his funk. After a tender moment she realises how much she misses the love of a good man.
Janelle eagerly awaits the arrival of her two daughters, Janae and Bree, as it brings her a step closer to reuniting the Timmins family. When Stingray questions whether the girls will try Lyn’s patience, Janelle assures him Janae and Bree have matured since he last saw them. Upon meeting the girls it becomes apparent that Janelle is wearing her rose-coloured glasses. Lyn quickly realises that they will be a handful.

The Timmins girls settle into the Scully house and Janelle wells with pride at her reunited brood. Dylan agrees to cook a special dinner for them but Janelle is concerned about her limited funds. In response, the girls go to work on the General Store - Janae distracting Harold while Bree expertly shoplifts. Stingray is mortified when Janelle looks set not to punish this behaviour but eventually convinces them all to return the goods to poor Harold.
Shaken by the level of dirt Izzy has on him, Paul gives into her demands and vents his fury on his hotel room. When he receives affectionate comfort from Lil it becomes increasingly obvious that her feelings for Paul go beyond friendship. As the undeclared emotions heat up, Lil reveals she's not certain about returning to David. Convinced of Lil's love, Paul calls off his plot to destroy Erinsborough. David pleads with Lil to return home but her "affair of the heart" looks set to continue.
Harold recognizes Karl as a man lost and urges Izzy to get him out of the house before he withdraws completely. Under the pretext of a brief walk to the shops, she lures Karl out into the park and leads him up to a beautiful lookout.
