Katy is beginning to wilt under the enormous pressure of her lies and a visit from Tommy’s mum is the last thing she needs. Angela tries to reassure her daughter that they can get through Jean’s visit if they keep to their story, but she too is struggling to contain her guilt. When Jean arrives, the conspiring pair are shocked into realisation about what they have done when they see a weak and feeble woman who is genuinely grieving - something they have been unable to do. Mother and daughter are relieved when the visit is over but the return of a familiar face to the street fills them with panic.

But when Ray convinces her to hear him out, Tracy appears to soften a little, even allowing him to hold Amy. Will Ray get his final wish of a reconciliation with his daughter?

Chesney is making the most of his time with Roy and Hayley as he swaps cleaning up after Cilla for being waited on hand and foot. Roy is horrified at Chesney’s highly exaggerated stories of the neglect he has suffered at the hands of Les and Cilla and insists that he will be looked after properly by him and Hayley. The Croppers become instantly attached to Chesney and ponder the thought of what it would be like to have children of their own. All is going well until Chesney breaks down, but which member of his family is he really missing?
