If you want to know why Jake looks so moody, when thinking of his and Chrissie's kiss...well, I don't know. Maybe he's sulking because of the lack of a second kiss. (Who isn't sulking because of that?) Or maybe the photographer just forgot to ask Joel Beckett to smile when the picture was taken. And don't you just want to go "Aw," when you imagine Jake sulking? Chrissie looks very happy though. ;)


If any of the people who made a request want something specific done, tell me, otherwise I'll just do a random banner and slap your name on, lol.

No, they're in the wrong format. I need them in WMV so I can import them in WMM and go through the frames.

i've finally bugged my dad in buying the paint shop pro thing but i still can't make banners that look any good...

But the quality of the animation isn't as good as I'd like it to be. I don't know why, because I've done animations like that before and it's turned out fine. So I'm going to fiddle around with the settings a bit more and see if I can get it any better, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to. So I figured I'd post it anyway, in case you want to use it as it is, and I can't get it any better. :D


I'll try and work on some more requests during the week.

I'm afraid I won't be much help with PSP, I use Photoshop. I'm guessing they're pretty much the same though, so just experiment. Grab a random picture and play with it - filters, blending modes, gradiants. Search for tutorials on Google.

You mean from clips? I import into Windows Movie Maker then use that to save screenshots for the animations. I think there's a way you can do it in Media Player, but I forget how. I think you have to slow down the Video Acceleration or something.

It depends. Sometimes I'm kinda lazy and just do a bunch of things that I know work well, so they don't take that long. Othertimes I feel like experimenting and they usually take a while -- I just keep fiddling and adding things until they look right. The moving ones -- the banner part is the same as any other banner. The animation usually takes me about 15 minutes to get right.

Layne: I selected an area, filled it with colour, and then changed the Blending Mode to Screen. :D

I use ImageReady for the moving ones, which came with Photoshop. I think it does the same sort of things as Animation Shop though.

Um...what do you mean. A specific effect, or just any icon. For the icons you just open a canvas that's 100x100 (or for this board it might be 80x80, I don't know), paste your picture in, crop and resize (remember the aspect ratio!). Then add any effects/colouring etc.

i've recently downloaded PSP... but am having truoble using it... i make anything that look any good... and most the images are all blurry...

There should be a sharpen feature - Photoshop has unsharp mask, which is my favourite one to use, maybe PSP has something similar. Are you resizing the pics at all? If the original is too blurry you probably can't do too much with it.

I use Photoshop, so I don't really know my way around PSP.

I felt like doing something different. You can use this for your desktop if you want, but please don't do anything else with it. :) (It looks bad resized, so if you have a higher resolution than 800x600 and want to use it, don't stretch it, center it. :) )

Wow Kat they're fantastic! What program do you use? I uses PSP, but i'm hard pushed to find any effects like those for my banners and avatars. Are they extras to the standard package?

I use Photoshop - most of the effects are done using just the tools on there -- for the colouring it's mostly gradients and adjustment layers on different layer settings etc. I do use textures and brushes from other sites as well though. :)

The blocks are actually quite easy to make - just draw the blocks with the pencil tool, use the text tool to add the letters. Then on each frame move a block up a bit, and animate them together. :)
