Coronation Street Spoilers
6th-11th March 2005

Sunday 6th March 2005 @ 7.30pm

We pick off where we left off with Katy (more commonly known as ‘Ka’ee’ by her nearest and dearest) is shaken and shocked by her actions. Though she believed what her father told her in the first place (knowing his track record what a dangerous mistake!) she feels he’s got what he deserves - well for at least a few seconds anyway, as soon the grief and sorrow starts and we’ve got weeks of a grieving ‘Ka’ee’ to put up with!

Elsewhere on the street Warren is yet again failing to achieve on the football pitch and his father (the most wisdom-clad man in the land), Danny, suspects his son’s over-active sex life is to blame* and so tells him to put a stop to it. Being the brainiest boys in Weatherfield, Warren and Jamie decide to see who can go the longest without sex. (Ohhh these bets are so sensible and well thought out!)

Now for Ray Langton. The classic character that nobody remembers that well and quite frankly don’t care about. Well tonight we learn he’s doing a back to front Dirty Den and has a terminal illness and wants to get to know Tracy before its too late. Tracy being in a good mood doesn’t want to know and says its all a waste of time. Ray says he wants no trouble but we all know that’s a cue for quite the opposite!

*Any person with a little sense will know what Danny is saying is absolute tosh.

Monday 7th March 2005 @ 7.30pm

Langtongate continues tonight and Ken desperately wants to get some form of reassurance from Deidre that she doesn’t want to see Ray back. This a man who has no other thoughts. Just pre-occupied with… quite frankly nothing! Nontheless Deidre does the ‘right’ thing and goes to see him in hospital - the obvious cue for some reminiscing and to cause further problems between Ken and Deidre.

Katy and Angela are all shook up and they can’t even go down the street without looking somewhat conspicuous whilst trying hard not too. They can’t even stand to hear the phone ring without thinking they’re going to be taken away….and they of course (like in any good murder mystery) need to hide the body in a strange place which has no part to play in the crime - so that would be the garage.

Elsewhere there is a moment of fun and laughter (something rare by any soap’s standards). Some of the residents of Coronation Street are discussing some of their most embarrassing moments: Sean being Sean has a SHOCKING revelation and we learn something about Jason, which will be interesting for future viewing….

Monday 7th March 2005 @ 8.30pm

Today’s the day the Miss Marple-esque mystery begins (I can just see Emily getting her magnifying glass out.) Tyrone and Kevin turn up at the garage like any normal day but Kevin finds something not so normal. Tommy Harris’ dead corpse. Immediately as if he was Superman, he springs into action and runs to Underworld to tell Angela (who goes to work to not look shifty…its her whose showing all the signs of a callous killer now). At this revelation she feigns her shock and runs over to the Garage like she didn’t have a clue (further signs of a callous killer, it won’t be long till Emily Marple’s onto you!) or at least she would if there wasn’t a more obvious-looking suspect in the form of Ka’ee. Who quite frankly is a wreck. With police swarming about the street will she be able to keep quiet?

Elsewhere Langtongate steps up a notch and pulls another victim into the fracure as Emily offends (there’s two words you thought you’d never hear together!) the Hunt/Rachid/Barlows by taking pity on Ray and offering him a bed. That woman is desperate to be ordained as a Saint before she’s 80! Ray wants to make peace with Tracy, who by is in an even better mood but still behaves hostile towards him. Does this man not know what he’s getting himself into!??!

Wednesday 9th March 2005 @ 7.30pm

The drama at the Harris’s’ continues and ‘Ka’ee’ and Angela nearly loose it as they’re questioned about their whereabouts when Tommy was killed. Ka’ee thinks that she is about to be taken away when she sees a police car turn up later but the police, being the police (and this being a murder mystery) arrest the most obvious non-guilty suspect - Martin! (I bet you never saw that coming eh?!) They’ve quickly realised the hate between him and Tommy and without any real evidence arrest him and as if by magic another cue is activated - for Ka’ee to be riddled by grief at seeing her one time partner taken away. Dun dun durrrr!

Back to Langtongate and tonight we’re treated to some first class reminiscing between Betty, Mike and Rita (who for tonight will not be singing). Deidre is resenting Ray’s return as its putting her special little family under strain but Ray still wants to make amends with the toxic, cold-as-ice Tracy who still doesn’t want to see him (even though her mood is the best its ever been).

Elsewhere Louis, Sean’s ex makes an appearance (you can see the campery stepping up a notch!) to inform Sean that their dog, Shandy is dead (it’d want to be dead if I was named after a slightly alcoholic beverage!) The pair cry and there’s bound to be reminiscing about old times, ah so much reminiscing for one episode it should come with a health warning!

Friday 11th March 2005 @ 7.30pm
Ka’ee is still struggling to come to terms with her Dad’s death (come on it has been a week! Most other characters would have lost their guilt symptoms within a week usually or confess or kill themselves but Katy’s not doing any of these yet… so expect more struggling). In fact Ka’ee is struggling so much she nearly confesses all to her brother (who still with two guilty looking people in his house hasn’t realised the truth). But Angela shouts her loudest and momentarily stops her daughter confessing but will it be enough?

Martin is still being questioned by the police (are you sure this isn’t a repeat of Wednesday’s episode?), things aren’t looking good for him a serious fight with Tommy and an even more serious fight with Karl Foster (went to Gloucester and stepped in a puddle of rain). Will Ka’ee confess before it’s to late for the love of her life Martin?

Langtongate continues (will it ever stop? - I’ve just realised that sounds like a posh residence in the country!) And Blanche pays Ray a visit. She doesn’t like the uneasiness of the situation as it does nasty things to her stomach. She’s so outraged by Ray’s behaviour that she goes as far to say he’s faking his terminal illness. He throws her out. Ah with such opinionated views its something we’ve come to expect from Blanche!
