Little Mo is working in the bar when Alfie walks in.
lityle Mo: hello alfie

Alfie takes a deep breath and looks at Little Mo long and hard
Little Mo: What's wrong Alfie. What is it?

Alfie: Well the thing is Mo...
Mo: What is it Alfie? is something wrong?

Alfie: I got this strange phone call and...
Lil Mo : Do you know who the call was from ??

Alfie: Well I think it was her
Little Mo: Who? oh... do you mean... Kat?

[B]Alfie: I don't know, in the back ground there was music, it was the sort of music we used to have playing when we were alone above the Vic...
Mo: Did she say any thing at all ?? I mean if it was a female ??

[Meh]

Alfie pauses thoughtfully
Alfie: I can't be sure. It sounded like Kat, but she said she'd got the wrong number

Mo: Come on Alfie...lets face it, it was her, it must have been
Alfie: So what does this mean...about me and you...?

[Meh]

Mo:Well, nothings happened has it? I mean between you and me, you know?
Alfie: Yeah, yeah, nothing has darlin'

LiLMo : Lets Face it Alfie, we are safter as mates, had we met under different circumstances (sighing) who knows?

Scene 2
At the queen vic, chrissie is behind the bar, serving Ian
Chrissie: That'll be one pound fif ...
Chrisse looks over Ians shoulder towards the door, her eyes dialted with fear.
Phil is at the doorway. Ian turns around.

[Rain_]

*the phone rings at the queen vic*
-chrissie- hello?
-mystery caller- hello darlin

[parkerman]

Meanwhile in the bar, Phil walks menacingly towards Ian, who puts his drink down.
Phil: You little scumbag. Thought you were being very clever, eh?
Ian: I...I...don't know what you mean, Phil. Have a drink.

*Phil notices Chrissie through the hallway on the phone... he quickly runs in and grabs the phone off Chrissie*

Phil: Ello?! ello! *he turns to Chrissie looking angry*
Chrissie: Theyv'e hung up Phil...
Phil: Oh I know they have! surprise surprise ey!?

[Angeldelight]

Chrissie: what are you doing here Phil?
Phil: where that slimeball husband of yours?

chrissie: ehh, he left me for a young blonde tart, he hasnt been back
phil (menacingly): tell me where he is (moves further towards chrissie)
chrissie (trying to stay confident): dunno, havent heard from him.............

Chrissie regains her composure
Chrissie: Look, I don't know where he is, and as far as I'm concerned you can give him one from me. Anyway, shouldn't you be in prison?
Phil: I made sure they lost the evidence and I'm back to get whats mine. So you tell that sorry excuse of a husband of yours that Phil Mitchell isn't going to rest until he's six foot under.

and with that phil marches back out into the pub
chrissie lets out a long sigh, and after a few moments follows him
ian is still sitting by the bar......................

[Tamzi]

Phil marches over to ian
Phil: Well if I can't deal with Den right now. I'm going to have to sort out the other annoying thing in my life. YOU!

[Rach33]

Ian fell to the floor as Phil's fist connected with his jaw
Phil- that's just for starters

[Tamzi]

Chrissie: Come on break it up boys, we don't want a fight in here do we
Ian: He ain't going to beat me this time.
Ian charges at Phil

[Meh]

Dot gets up
Dot: You should know better than hitting a defencless man. You and your like never change.
Phil. Yeah? Well, at least I don't breed my type.

Dot- ohh I say
Phil- I think me and Ian should finish this once and for all don't you Ian
Ian cowered behind Pauline

[Tamzi]

Phil: Don't be such a wimp. Come on outside.
They head outside. All the residents of the square have gathered round
Danny: And the fight begins

[Meh]

Johnny look out of the club towards the commotion
Johnny: Jake, go and see whats going on.

[Rach33]

Jake- why me
Johnny- because I asked you too
Jake sighing headed over just as the fight began

Phil thumps Ian again and he goes down.
Dot: Stop it! Stop it! Somebody call the police.
Jake steps in front of Phil.
Jake: Leave him alone.

Phil- and how the hell are you
Jake- I could be asking you the same question
Chrissie- Jake don't involved

Phil takes a swing at Jake, but Johnny, who has walked over catches his arm.
Johnny: Walk away while you can, Phil.
Phil: Johnny Allen! What the Hell are you doing in Albert Square?

Johnny- I could ask you what your doing here Phil but I won't bother
Phil- i had no idea
Johnny- well now you do maybe it would be best for you if you said your goodbyes now

phil - i got nowhere to go johnny they've taken it all from me
johhny - should have put better padlocks on it then shouldn't you phil?

Phil found it hard to contain himself. Before he knew what he was doing he had lunged at Johnny and pushed him to the ground.
Dot - Oh, I say!
Danny - Need a bit of help, boss?

*just as danny goes to help johnny, the square fills with police cars*

Dot: Ooh I say! this place used to be such a quiet area.
Pauline: *nods at dot* thats right dot, until we had the likes of the mitchells move here.
Phil: Johnny! Quick! You've got to help me!

-johnny- now why would i want to go and do a thing like that hmm?
-phil- you know why johhny, because if you don't our little secret will be all over walford in less time than it takes dot to chain smoke her way through a packet of 20

*the police run towards phil... he turns around and see's them running towards him*

Phil: I'll get you back for this!!

*johnny grins, while phil makes a run for it... he rushes past pauline, but accidentally trips over betty and falls flat on his face :eek: the police catch him and put the handcuffs on*

Pauline: Well done betty!!

Phil is dragged towards the police car but suddenly a huge balck car pulls up bolocking the road

Pauline: serves you right phil mitchell
Phil: Oh you'll get yours pauline mark my words, and your little dog too

*A woman steps out of the black car...Chrissie looks at her with a shocked face*

Chrissie: What are you doing here?

Angie: As if you didn't know? I think we've got some business Chrissie.
Chrissie: What about???
Angie: Den being under the cellar and all

Phil is dragged towards the police car but suddenly a huge balck car pulls up bolocking the road

Chrissie: Angie, come inside, we'll talk in the vic...

*Chrissie leads Angie into the vic, as Phil is taken away in the police car*

Jake pulls Chrissie back as Angie walks ahead into the Vic
jake:Chrissie, i just want to tell you.
Chrissie:Tell me what
Jake leans in and kisses her :wub: :love:

Angie sticks her head out the door
Angie: you coming??

*Chrissie goes in the vic to talk to angie, while jake stands looking upset*

Jake watched her as she walked back into the vic, I love you, he sighed
Danny- real smooth Jakey boy
Jake- it just wasn't the right time

Danny: I noticed that
Jake: COme on we need to get into work

Chrissie stared at Angie
Chrissie- how did you find out
Angie- now that really is a story and a half

Chrissie: How is it you Watts keep re-appearing from the dead?
Angie: You think there's hope for Den then?

Chrissie- not a hope in hell
Angie- what makes you so sure
Chrissie- you didn't hear the thud when I whacked with the doorstop

Angie- i want my pub back
Chrissie- sorry darling you ain't guna get it
Angie- then i'll tell the world how you rid thw world of Den Watts

Angie stormed out off the pub and marched down the street
Dot- is that Angie?
Pauline- huh another one walzing around, that's all we need

Pauline: Well, it's gonna be a bit of a shock when she finds out isn't it?

Pauline: I don't know, apparently your ex upset her and she ran off with Vicki.
Angie: Vicki? That girl he had with that Michelle?

Dot: yes thats right
Pauline: Or she could be with young dennis
Angie: Dennis???

Pauline: Oh, you don't know about that little surprise of your husband?

pauline: what are you going on about angie?
chrissie (starting to get a bit worried about angie shouting about den being death): i think shes been drinking too much again

Angie: Excuse me, but i'll have you know that ive been off the stuff for years!
Pauline: Yeah that'll be the day!

Chrissie: look Angie I think you need to get out of here
Angie: No way not untill they know the truth

Pauline: What are you talking about Angie?

Just as she is about to start speaking, Jake comes rushing up.
Jake: Chrissie, I have to tell you something...in private.

Angie: Found a new fancy man already have ya, you tart!
Dot: Oh, I say!
Pauline: You were a drunkard, Angie, and you'll alwayds to a drunkard!

Angie: Yeah and you've always been a silly old bag pauline fowler!
Dot: Ooh I say!

Angie: well I think its time you all new what really happened to Den....
Pauline: What?????
Chrissie: Angie Don't
Angie: You see Den is actually........
Her voice is blockedout by sirens as 5 police cars enter the square

*a man walks out of one of the police cars and walks towards chrissie*

Policeman: Chrissie watts, im arresting you on suspicion of murder
Dot: Ooh I say!!
Pauline: Murder!???

Chrissie stared at the officers, Murder?
officer- the murder of Dennis watts, you have to come with us madam
Jake- Chrissie?
Chrissie- i'm sorry Jake, she sobbed as she was lead the the police car

*jake ran towards the police car and chased it down the road, as it drove off out of the square*

Angie: That's right you lot, Chrissie killed Den!
Dot: Ooh I say!!!!! :eek:
Jake: No, your wrong! Chrissie wouldn't do a thing like that!

Zoe: What's going on?
Sam: Chrissie's been arrested for murder of Den.
Zoe: WHAT? ON MY ACCOUNT? I'm going to the police station to explain. She's done too much for me, but she won't go down because of me!
Sam: Wait, Zo, listen-
Too late, Zoe had begun to run off to the police station.

[Angeldelight]

Zoe ran into the poilce station and swung open the doors, i want to make a confession
SRO- calm down, tell me what's
Zoe- she didn't do it i did, i killed him, i killed Den Watts

Police: *laughing* I beg your pardon?
Zoe: I KILLED DEN WATTS! PLEASE RELEASE CHRISSIE!
Police: *checking his book* Chrissie Watts, eh? So you say you killed him, eh? Well, well, well, little lady, I'm afraid you have no proof to defend either of you.
Zoe: NO! Where is Chrissie.
Police: We have already decided her verdict, she is to be on trial.

[Angeldelight]

Zoe- you can't it was me, i did it
Angie- no you didn't Zoe, she pushed Sam in front of Zoe, tell her Sam, tell her the truth
Zoe- Sam, they don't believe me, you have to tell them, Chrissie can't go to prison

Sam was worried. She didn't want Zoe to go down and Chrissie to get away with it, yet she would never want her to be upset. But her family's hatred of Angie Watts took over.
Sam: Shut up, Angie, you're just jealous of Chrissie.
Angie: Why you lying cow!
Sam: You're the cow around here! Take no notice, Zoe.
Angie: CHRISSIE KILLED DEN, NOT YOU!!!! SILLY GIRL! SILLY TART! SLEPT WITH MY MAN!

Zoe- no she didn't, he was hurting her, he'd have killed her if he could
Sam put her arm around Zoe, come on Zo let's sit down
Angie- you ain't heard the last of this, i'll make you all pay, ALL OF YOU

Sam wanted to tell Zoe, but could she?

Angie: YOU TWO ARE COWS! ALL OF YA! LISTEN! CHRISSIE KILLED DEN!
Dot: Oooooooooh, I say!
Pauline: You cow! She never!
Sam: Go away, Angie, and leave us in peace!

Zoe: You've done so much damage. Go Angie. All youre doing is spreading misery
Angie: Why don't you believe me? You're all so stupid, you can't see what right in front ofyour eyes!!

Sam bit her lip.

Sam: Err, Angie's lying.
Zoe: Sam? Why are acting oddly?
Sam: *going back to normal* Just worried that Angie will go mad.

Sam: Look Angie. I know Zoe....you know. So why don't you shut up and get out of here Angie Watts
Police: Hold on your angie watts?
Angie: Yeah, so
Police: well since your husband diseappeared a considerable time ago, there have been a few matters that haven't been cleared up.
Angie: Like what?
Police: Like the assualt of your husband's mistress

Angie: WHAT????
Police: Your husband's mistress.
Angie: Jan?
Police: Yes.

Police- i'm afraid we'll have to take you in to interview
Angie- you can't be serious
Poilce- i'm very serious, come this way please Mrs Watts

Angie: How...what...i don't understand!
Sam: Have a nice time Angie. And just so's you know, we won't be hanging around for you after your interview
Zoe looked confused
Zoe:Jan?
Sam: long story, Zo. Nothing really to be told

Back in the sqaure the residence were buzzing with the news that Chrissie had been Arrest for Den's murder.
Jake walked through and saw people watching him, have you lot got something to say?
Danny- come on Jake let's get you a drink
Jake shrugged Danny off, i don't need a drink
Johnny- Jake, what's going on?

[parkerman]

Ian: But what I don't understand is, where did Angie come from? The last I heard of her she was being buried.
Pauline: Them Watts are all the same. Think they can just come back from the dead when they feel like it.

[Angeldelight]

Dot- oh Pauline don't say that
Pauline- it's true Dennis did the same thing till he left poor Chrissie
Ian- but... but... oh i don't know

Jane runs up: Haven't you heard? Rumours are that Chrissie KILLED den, that he didn't leave her at all. But, they're also saying the same about Zoe, so........
Dot: Oh I DO say!
Pauline: Can't you come out with soemthing more constructive Dot? Honestly, this square is just falling apart with rumours flying every where! Is that all you have to say?

Dot: Oh, I say!
Pauline: I bet it was Den who tipped them off, silly man!
Meanwhile...
Chrissie sat alone in her cell, dumbstruck and waiting for news? What was she to do. What if she is to be sentenced? Would she string Zoe along and say things in court to make her 'confess'? Maybe she would break down? Maybe she would pretend to be guilty and then Zoe would not take it any more and get sent down instead of her?

zoe: sam, youve got to tell them, you have to make them believe me!
sam: calm down zoe, come on lets get you home
zoe (screaming): you dont understand, none of you, i cant let chrissie go to prison for something i did, i just cant!!!

Sam: Zoe, you've got to calm down.
Zoe: But i can't, Sam. She's gonna take the blame for some thing I DID!!
Sam: zoe, look at me. LOOK AT ME!! We're gonna sort this out ok.
Sam looked out the window, how was she gonna sort this out?!
ZOe: We've got to go back in, talk to chrissie, tell the police. She can't go down because of me!!

Chrissie stared at the white wash walls of her cells, what was she guns do? she couldn't go to prison
Officer- you get to make your phone call
Chrissie stood up and wiped her hands on her jeans, thanks
Officer- follow me

She kept her head down as she walked. She knew she shouldn't be here
Chrissie: Who should i call?
she said under her breath. She then realised exactly who she was going to call.
She dialled in the numbers
Chrissie: Hello? Jake?

[Angeldelight]

Jake- Chrissie? where are you? what's going on?
Chrissie- i'm at the pilce station
Jake- why you didn't do it
tears slipped down her cheeks, i know, i'm sorry Jake

[Rach33]

Jake- it's all right look can I help you in anyway
Chrissie smiled- well only if it's not too much trouble...Jake you've got to me out of here
Jake- just tell me what you need me to do and I'll do it

[Angeldelight]

Sam and Zoe sat in the back of a taxi heading back to Albert square
Zoe- you said we we're going to sort this out
Sam- we will
Zoe- no i have to go to the poilce station again, make them listen
Sam- we need a plan first
Zoe- STOP! stop the cab

Sam: Zoe, what are you doing! Driver, just carry on driving please.
Zoe: No! Why do you want Chrissie to take the blame Sam! What have you got against her soooooooo much! Ey?!
Sam: Well it's just...just...
Zoe: *becoming slightly hysterical!* Just what Sam!!!???

Jake put the phone down and looked around
Danny- Jake
jake- i have to go, he grabbed his coat and walked out of the door

Jake called for a cab
Danny runs out to the street
Danny: Where are you going? whats so urgent
Jake: Go back inside danny
Danny: No jake, tell me whats going on!!

jake: danny its none of your business
danny: if you tell me i could help you
jake (getting annoyed): just leave it danny. whenever you try to help it always gets 10 times worse!
and with that jake walked off, leaving his brother behind

Sam & Zoe get out of the cab on george street and see jake.

Zoe: Jake if your going to the police station I want you to tell them that...
Sam: Zoe shhhhh!!!!!

Sam drags Zoe along back to the square

Sam: take no notice Jake

Jake- have you seen Chrissie
Sam- no, look i have to go
Zoe- i did it, she dissolves in to tears on the floor, i did it, I DID IT SAM

zoe just stood there crying
jake: zoe tell me what did you do?

Jake: You did what?
Zoe: I killed...
Sam: You killed nobody!!!!!
Zoe: *looking a bit confused* Wha?

[Amber]

Zoe stood feeling confused. Sam looked away, realising what she'd done.
Zoe: Sam you know the truth. I did it.
Sam: No you didn't. It wasn't you who did it.
Zoe: What do you mean?
Jake frowned.
Jake: Is there something I don't know?

sam (snapping at jake): there are lots of things you dont know!
zoe (annoyingly whining): sam what do you mean? he did kill him, you saw me
sam took a deep breath.........

Jake- i haven't got time for this Chrissie needs me... he began to walk away
Zoe's still whining, Sam? Sam you saw me?
Sam- CHRISSIE DID IT, she screamed

jake spun round
jake: what are you talking about? chrissie did what?
zoe stood there completely speechless, staring straight at sam

Zoe:No, no she didn't. I did, Chrissie didn't kill Den. I DID!
Sam: Youre right...i...i... i don't know why that slipped out
Zoe: (whiney voice) Why did you say it sam. You knew it was me who did it!
Jake: whats going on?

Sam: Right ive had enough off all this! Zoe, it was Chrissie who killed Den, after you hit him with the doorstop and went upstairs to turn all the lights off, I saw Den grab Chrissie's foot, he was still alive, and then...well then she hit him with the doorstop...*she walks closer to Zoe* she killed him Zoe not you.
Zoe: *she stands there looking confused and gobsmacked*
Pauline: *she runs over* did I hear the mention of my doorstop?????

sam: pauline, stop interfering for once and get lost
zoe and jake are standing there looking completely shocked
jake: i.....i......i.....i dont believe you, chrissie wouldnt do that

Sam: Go away pauline, this is a private conversation
Pauline: Well, if your going to have a private convosation in the middle of the square in the dead of night, doesn't become so private any more does it?!
Zoe: Sam, why are you saying this? I killed Den watts. I hit him, he fell to floor. He died in front of me! i killed him!!
Pauline: You killed Den but i thought-
Sam: GO AWAY YOU DAFT MARE!!!

*Dot runs over* Ooh I say! what's going on now!?
Sam: And you can stay away too!
Dot: Oooooh I say!
Sam: Pauline, Dot, this doesn't concern you!
Pauline: If it has anything to do with my doorstop then it does!

Sam: FORGET ABOUT THE BLOODY DOOR STOP!!
Pauline: Don't use such language in front of Betty...and Dot
Jake: again...what?!

Sam: For goodness sakes! Stop going on about your bloody doorstop, this is a private conversation! Now mind your own business.
Zoe: I don't believe it. Chrissie wouldn't lie to us..She wouldn't. Would she?
She looked at Jake.
Jake: I've got to hear this from her.
Sam: It'll be the same thing.
Jake left in a cab.
Pauline: So what's this about my doorstop?
Sam: ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGHH!

chrissie paced up and down her cell, wondering how long it would take jake to get there. she knew he would help her, she was sure of it, but she couldnt wait for much longer, she had to be out now

Sam took a cab and followed Jake closely. When they got to the station she ran out.
Sam: Jake...JAKE?! What are you gonna say to her
Jake: I-I don't know. I've got to speak to her before i think about what you just said to me!!
Sam: You got to believe me...it was Chrissie
Jake:Just leave it sam...i need to speak to her-alone

[Angeldelight]

Jake walked into the police station leaving Sam stood outside
SRO- can i help?
Jake- i'm here to see Chrissie, Chrissie Watts
SRO- if you'd like to wait a minute

Angie sat in the interview room, saying nothing

Po: Look, mrs Watts. We need you to asnwer these questions
Angie: No comment.
Po: Would you rather answer these SIMPLE questions or have night banged up in the cells.
Angie: You can't be serious (she sprung from her chair) you can't keep me in this dump
Po: *nods head to colluege*Interview terminated at 23:45. We'll continue this little chat tomorrow morning
Angie: Your having a laugh...you can't do this
Po.2: Come on love, this way. You've only yourself to blame.
Angie: Shut it mate. I ain't saying any thing. Ever. theres nothing to say!!

Chrissie was shown into a small room, what's going on?
PO- wait here please, he shut the door and nodded to his collegue

A policeman came in.
Police: I can let you go but not Miss Slater, ok?

Johnny winks at her from behind the superintendent.

Chrissie, Kat, Jake, Zoe and Johnny walk out in to the reception area to join Mo, Little Mo and Stacey.
Zoe is in floods of tears with Kat trying to comfort her.

A man crept out of an open cell window, desperate to get out. She ran as quietly as he could towards Walford. As he approached the Queen Vic, he looked around. No one was there. He pushed the cellar door open and went up the stairs.
