Erm... sort of, not sure if you'd call them claims to fames though! When I was younger I was in a TV programme with Harry Secombe, I met Dianne Louise Jordan + Tim Vincent (ex Blue Peter, they were filming for the show) on a day out, and I used to see Charlie Brooks (Janine ex EE) on a regular basis- I used to live in the same area as her when she was younger.

When I was roughly 5, I was taken on stage with Roger de Coursey & Nookie Bear. Met Kathy Taylor (ex Athlete now seller on QVC) & David ? (used to present Question of Sport). Then met John Virgo. And a few years later when I was 16/17 met Jimmy White and went out with his friends/entourage to a nightclub. I also met Matt Skelton (Boxer, just won some belt) loads of times, he lives in this area. Apart from that....no great claims to famous meetings!

I wouldn't stand for any of their buisness. I cannot abide sly people. They'd be getting told straight. I always mess up my auditions though. Last year I got to the diary room stage and totally bottled it. All I could say was my name!

My brother-in-law has a sister in Australia and her husband is the uncle of the barmaid in Eastenders, (can't remember her name). Also do any of the oldies remember an eighties band called China Crisis (they were from Liverpool) well I went to see "The Police" in concert and they were the supporting band, after the concert I was hanging around outside and they came out and asked me and my friend to show them were the nearest chippie was, anyway we did and i snogged the face of one of them. OMG I'm really showing my age now!!!

I don't know the things a girl will do for a bag of chips :) :rotfl:

Treacle
17-07-2005, 01:23
Yes and the Vic wouldn't be the same without her! Atleast it's realistic having a barmaid who doesn't live in the surrounding area etc and isn't involved with lots of storylines.

Abi
17-07-2005, 01:26
yeah, keeps it a bit more real i guess

I also know Sarah White who played Bev Dixon in Brookside.

We met at the Sands Centre in Carlisle when I went to watch a play. She wasn't in it she was just there watching. Not quite a claim to fame I know but I chatted to her and have sent her a few letters since which she has replied to so it's very nice!

Well my Aunt worked at the Nursery where Jude Law took his child and she used to live down the road from the guy in oasis (I can't think of his name, the one that gets in fights). Also my cousin is friends with Anthony Horowitz's son and he lived down the road from Gary Lineker.

When Emmerdale used to film in a real village you could actually just walk onto the set. I never got a chance to do it though, couldn't be bothered going all the way down there just to hover in the background.
