i dunno, but the actress who plays her was saying in an mini interview on ITV2 from the Soap Awards, that every1 thinks "Maya" is dead, but she isn't

the car didn't explode, just ended up a bit of mangled wreck - I thought the last we saw of her was when she was in hospital or there was a reference made to her being there.

Sooz is right Maya was taken to the hospital at the same time as Sunita - which is why Sunita discharged herself early.
