Clare's still in the doghouse

Clare remains in the doghouse for leaving Tom on his own.
Eventually Max accepts Clare's apologies when she asks him out for lunch.
The married couple return home to kiss and make up, but as Max sleeps soundly Clare sneaks a contraceptive pill.
