Camel McQueen played by Gemma Merna

Character Traits:
On first impressions, Carmel appears very much the air headed bimbo. Sadly, due to her innocence and naivety she can be somewhat prone to being taken advantage of. But, woe betide anyone who takes advantage of her while her fiery sisters are around! Even though she may have a brash, ostentatious style, but really she?s sweet natured, fun loving personality who can make friends easily.

Relationships:
She dresses immaculately and her buxom charms are always sure to catch the eye, which means she's never short of male attention. She's prone to being taken advantage of by any spurious admirer with a silver tongue and flash car.

Character Traits:
The oldest of the McQueen clan, Jacqui has had to carry the responsibility of looking after her siblings from a young age. This has left Jacqui quite embittered and resentful of never having enjoyed the same freedom Mercedes, Carmel et al take for granted.

Jacqui is a feisty and belligerent. Her demonstrative and abrasive nature means confrontation is never far away. Ever resourceful, Jacqui is always on the look out for a scam and has few qualms with breaking the law if she can get away with it.

Relationships:
Jacqui has just come out of prison so has not yet had time for her first relationship in the village.

Character Traits:
Being the only man of the house, John-Paul gets mothered and quickly learnt not to compete for attention. He's a popular and bright lad, who plays a reliable role in the local football team. Often he's insightful and thoughtful, contemplating all eventualities before expressing an opinion.

Relationships:
Even though he may come across as shy, home life has taught him a good understanding of women.

At Hollyoaks High.

Character Traits:
Myra McQueen considers herself cursed. A pure grafter she preaches a hard-work ethic. Direct and unapologetic in her convictions, Myra sees things in black and white. Myra enjoys domestic chaos and will defend her kids to the hilt, even when they're in the wrong.

Relationships:
Having been let down by her daughters and husband, Myra places all of her hope in her son, John-Paul.

Unsure as yet.

Character Traits:
Tina is the brightest of the McQueen sisters. She's a sensitive, endearing young woman into books and foreign film. Made to feel a little like an outcast from her more fashion conscious sisters, she's become more of an observer of life. All these qualities push her to swallow her pride and make firm decisions.

Relationships:
Tina is unaware that under her conservative look, there is an endearing woman. Due to this she had been on few dates, if any at all, until a romance blossomed with Dom.

Character Traits:
Confrontational, witty and feisty, Mercedes is a loveable vixen. Mercedes has a dangerous streak and is ever the opportunist; she enjoys taking risks to get what she wants. However, to friends and family, Mercedes is loyal to the death and her Achilles heel is her brother John-Paul.

Mercedes has eyes for Russ.
