Just saw the end of toays Emmerdale (Monday 24th June) and it had a 20 second clip of Alan Turner at the end talking to Diane. Is this because of Steph's latest storyline or is it going to be a regular thing. Hollyoaks has been doing this since it began almost a decade ago, was just curious if Emmerdale had decided to follow suit.

I think they ruin a dramatic ending by doing a scene after the credits. The scenes usually have no point to them either. I think it is probably yet another bid to outdo EastEnders if they keep people watching for that extra minute or so then they'll miss the start of EastEnders. Can't think of any other reason why they would start doing it.

It doesn't work for Emmerdale IMO.

It's a Hollyoaks thing. End of.

No they have to stop this as they will ruin their excellent rep that they have at the mo. Emmerdale are bang on form at the moment and to have these 20 sec clips at the end will take the edge off all the excellent storylines that they are running.

I agree with what everybody else has said...the scene at the end of the credits really ruins the atmosphere of the show in my opinion....no need for it and it just seems pretty pointless.

I sort of agree - it should be Eastenders who does this really - after the loss of ratings from Emmerdale's King showhome explosion the other week. Apparently viewers prefered to see Noreen and Dawn killed than watch the ongoing shananigans of the relationship between Kevin & Denise in EE.

Well i agree it just dosen't suit Emmerdale but it suits hollyoaks IMO. Get rid of it.

I'm glad that they have now stopped doing the 20sec clip at the end as I didn't like it, much better now it's back to normal:)

If you watched the show, you'd know this stopped weeks ago.
