Neighbours 'could air on digital'
New episodes of Neighbours could be aired on BBC Three before being shown on BBC One.
The Australian soap, which launched the careers of actors like Jason Donovan and Kylie Minogue, is shown on BBC One at 1340 and 1735 on weekdays.

Audiences of up to 3m still regularly tune in, despite a decline in ratings since the soap's heyday in the 1980s.

A BBC spokeswoman said no decision had been reached, but confirmed the idea was being considered.

"There are lots of ideas being bounced around," she said.

"We can't comment on any specifics that may or may not being considered."

BBC Three, which launched in 2003, already airs the same day's episode of EastEnders on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays after its initial BBC One transmission.

The channel has also brought acclaimed shows such as Little Britain and Casanova to TV screens.

But the channel has also faced criticism over whether it offers value for money.
