'When I Dissed The Teacher'

Izzy justifies her reasons for sleeping with Ned, claiming it was to help Paul. Paul hates it but he forgives her, cursing the extent to which he's hooked on Izzy. Realising Lou tried to blackmail Izzy into changing his decision about running the General Store out of business, Paul allows Lou to think the attempt worked, before laughing in his face. When Lou realises Elle hasn't been told who stole Ned from her - he believes he's got another chance to blackmail his way back into business. Harold warns Lou off using the information about Izzy's infidelity for fear of hurting Elle. Lou is still tempted to use his trump card, but when Harold threatens to withdraw his friendship, Lou does the right thing and Paul closes down their business.

Stingray discovers his father is the infamous 'Mr DVD' all his friends have been buying their pirate DVDs off. He's shocked his father's under-the-counter business has become so large so soon. Kim defends his actions, explaining how he was innocently drawn into the trade and excusing himself because so many other people do the same thing. In spite of Stingray's worries, when he sees his father able to spend money on the family and gain pride in the act, he recognises the business has benefits.

Sky attends a weekend workshop with a visiting artist named Jean-Pierre Valasco. The man is a tyrant and savages her work. When she tries to stand up to him, he calls her on being superficial and unwilling to take a risk when new experiences come along. Just what type of experience has this man in mind?

'The Snipping News'

Paul is continually threatened by Ned’s presence. Every time he sees the guy he’s reminded of Izzy’s affair with him. When Stuart discovers the lies Izzy has told Ned to keep him in line he accuses Ned of being gullible. Ned goes to Paul and is indeed told the truth – Izzy used him and lied to him to keep him doing what she wanted. Belittled and vengeful, Ned tells Paul it is Izzy who is lying and they were together many times. Paul is left with his confidence shattered – who should he believe?

Harold and Lou have lost their business and are trying to come to terms with having nothing to do. Sky makes Harold realise that he can’t afford to be negative around Lou – who has nothing to fall back on. Harold has family, his house and the Salvos for support – poor Lou has nothing. This gives Harold a new lease on life and he pledges his support and friendship to Lou and sets out to find as many things as possible for them to do with all their newly acquired spare time.

Janelle has become clucky in the light of Steph’s baby. She lets Kim know she’d like a new addition to the Timmins family. Kim states his reasons for not wanting yet another child, but Janelle is confident she’ll eventually get her way. In desperation, Kim goes to Karl to ask about getting a vasectomy. When he tells Janelle his plans, she’s stunned by the news.
