Airs Tuesday, May 23 2006 at 17:35 BST on BBC One

Harold urges Lou to face facts – Paul has won and the General Store is fated to close. But Lou equates retirement with death and refuses to give up. When Paul smugly offers to buy the Store out, Lou punches him. Harold makes Lou realise that the situation is out of control – hanging on will only get them further into trouble and debt. Lou is poised to surrender when an anonymous ‘friend’ (Izzy’s mysterious foe) emails him a lifeline - the incriminating footage of Izzy and Ned.

Ned finally wakes up to the fact that Paul doesn’t seem sick, and Izzy appears genuinely to love her ‘dying’ man. When he confronts Izzy about it she uses all her usual tricks – guilt, sympathy, and seduction – but Ned’s still mistrustful. But then Ned sees Paul nursing a blood nose (after Lou punches him), Ned presumes it’s a symptom and apologises to Izzy for ever doubting her. Izzy’s relief is compounded by the news that the person threatening her with the incriminating footage has been arrested – but have the police really got the right man?

Devastated by the Store’s collapse, Sky defames Paul and Lucinda’s on-air, offending both Dylan and Elle. Izzy’s attempts to play cupid aren’t nearly as effective as Sky’s bad behaviour in getting Dylan and Elle to make a connection.

Kim stumbles upon a way to make enough money to provide Janelle with her dream wedding – selling pirated DVDs.

Bree is fraught with worry for sick Summer, but her pride won’t let her admit how much she misses Rachel’s friendship.

'You Light Up My Life Model'
Airs Wednesday, May 24 2006 at 17:35 BST on BBC One

Lou's discovery of footage of Izzy ‘being intimate’ with Ned leads him to blackmail Izzy into helping the General Store stay in business. Izzy claims she can't convince Paul to stop direct competition with the Store and pleads with a confused Harold to talk Lou out of it. Harold confronts Lou and is shocked to hear to what depths his partner is willing to go to save their business. Lou is unrepentant - where Izzy is concerned, he's simply fighting fire with fire.

Izzy encourages Dylan and Elle to get closer, in the hope they'll become a couple. Elle tells Dylan what Izzy is up to and they both decide to have some fun by feigning a growing attraction.

Ned accepts a job as a life model, unaware he'll be modeling in front of Sky and her art class. When Dylan finds out, he runs his fears past Elle, forgetting she has strong feelings for Ned. In convincing Elle she has nothing to be jealous of - he also calms his own fears and realizes he's been acting foolishly.

Stingray is laughed out of his film class with his latest offering. He tries to create a film full of symbolism and metaphor. When Bree catches him, he admits to having no idea what he's doing, and together they create a film that is a big hit with Stingray's teacher and helps to mend their personal rift.
