Sunday, 8th May
Cilla is suffering from post holiday blues. And after a bad day in the chippy, things go from bad to worse when she returns home to a broken fridge. Determined that everything in the house is only good for the scrapheap, the fiery red-head comes up with a plan. Cilla asks Les to propose to her, explaining that their wedding guests would shower them with gifts. Will Les be prepared to marry her for the wrong reasons?

Meanwhile, Mike is less than sympathetic towards Penny when she discovers that her house has been burgled. Having witnessed their exchange, Frankie warns Mike that if he doesn’t show Penny some consideration, he stands to lose her. Will this give him food for thought?

Over at the Websters’, the family return from an enjoyable picnic and Kevin comments to Sally that he’s so pleased they don’t have a complicated life like the Davenports. Sally winces with shame as her husband remains oblivious to her affair.

Elsewhere, Mel secures himself free food and drinks by telling the locals that he is looking to base the hero of his new novel on an upstanding member of the community. Fred is clearly a hopeful contender.

Also, Candice excitedly prepares for a radio audition. Could this be her road to the fame she so desperately seeks?

Sally grows tired of the constant digs from Ian, and when he disappears into his office with a mystery woman she decides enough is enough and gets on the phone to his wife. Justine comes straight over and storms into his room, only to find Ian innocently going through his books with the accountant. Determined that Sally will regret her actions, Ian threatens to tell Kevin a few home truths. Sally is frantic as Ian heads off, but will she be able to reach Kevin before he does?

Over in the Rovers, Les and Cilla proudly announce their engagement but it doesn’t take long for the locals to cotton on to their true intentions.

Meanwhile, Penny bemoans Mike’s insensitivity but gets a shock when he apologises and hands her a box containing the key to his home. Despite Penny’s complaints, will she move in with the infamous ladies’ man?

Elsewhere, Candice suffers public humiliation when she throws up during a live radio audition for ‘Eye in the Sky’!

Monday, 9th May, 20:30
The bitter rivalry between Ian and Sally continues, and the garage owner successfully manages to get one over on his former mistress when he overhears her promising the headmaster of Oakhill that his car will be ready today. Sneaky Ian calls his mechanic and tells him to make the car in question his lowest priority. When Sally is made to look a fool she furiously has it out with her boss who tells her that he has decided that she should move to another garage. Sally is thrilled that they’ll finally have a distance between them, but what else does Ian have up his sleeve?

Over in the Rovers, Sunita asks Charlie to look at a leak in the corner shop but despite the cause of the problem being down to his shoddy work, Charlie is quick to deny responsibility. Dev is outraged by Charlie’s lack of professionalism and demands that he put right his mistake. A heated conversation between the two men soon becomes extremely charged and when Dev makes a comment about Shelley. Charlie sees red and smacks him in the face.

Meanwhile, Candice is feeling humiliated following her disastrous audition the previous day and is upset when she fails to get the job. However, the fame-seeking young woman isn’t down for long and when she sees an advert in the local gazette for a weather girl, she is determined that this is the job for her.

Elsewhere, Cilla and Les are overly helpful to the locals in the hope that they will attend their wedding…clearly only interested in the presents that they will buy them!

Wednesday, 11th May
As Sally packs up her belongings at Davenport’s garage, Ian cheekily asks if there’s any chance of a quickie. Furious at his audacity, Sally tells him to get stuffed, and when she is also propositioned during her interview for the new garage she decides she can’t take anymore and tells her husband that Ian has been trying it on with her. A furious Kevin marches off and smacks Ian in the mouth. But when Ian reveals that he and Sally have been having an affair, will Kevin believe that his wife has been unfaithful?

Over at the Rovers, Betty makes it clear that she disapproves of Charlie’s violent behaviour the previous night and Shelley is quick to stand up for her man. Betty can’t resist meddling further and when Dev suggests calling the police she is quick to relay his plan to Shelley and Charlie. Shelley is clearly concerned, but Charlie is confident that he has nothing to fear.

In the chip shop, Cilla and Rocky come to blows, and after a ketchup fight she gives him the sack! She later enlists the help of her friend Yana, but Cilla isn’t impressed when baker Diggory takes an instant shine to her new assistant.

Later that day, Norris tells Les in no uncertain terms that nobody will be going to his sham of a wedding. Les retaliates by announcing that he loves Cilla and that they will be marrying regardless. But without new electrical goods as an incentive, will Cilla be prepared to tie the knot?

Elsewhere, Keith becomes agitated when David’s football continually lands in his garden. After the third time, Keith has had enough and he punctures the ball with a fork. Dumbstruck David asks if psycho Keith would do the same to his rabbit, and when Keith fails to assure him that he wouldn’t, David quickly moves Barney away.

Friday, 13th May
Ian’s words have been preying heavily on Kevin’s mind and he eventually tells Sally that he has come to the conclusion that the slimy car sales man is right – they have been having an affair. Kevin insists that all the signs have been there and he brands himself the thickest man in the world for not realising sooner. Sally protests her innocence, but as Kevin pushes it further can she keep up her pretence?

Over at the Platts’, David is mortified when he goes out to the garden to find his pet rabbit has died in the night. The young lad is horrified further when his dead pet disappears and is stunned when Keith returns the bunny stuffed on a plinth.

Meanwhile, fearing that Dev will go to the police, Shelley tries to keep the peace and apologises that things have got out of hand. Charlie is furious to find his girlfriend crawling to Dev and he angrily takes her aside to tell her that she never does anything right.

Elsewhere, as Mel continues to charm the women of Weatherfield, Ken is clearly riled by his presence. Knowing the former teacher could be the fly in his ointment, Mel winds him up at every opportunity. Emily is later upset when she notices that her figurine has gone missing, but will her suspicions be aroused when Mel claims to have broken it and thrown it away?

Also, Candice celebrates as she is given a job as a ‘weathergirl’, but when she is vague on details does this suggest that everything isn’t all as it seems?
