Airs Tuesday, May 2 2006 at 17:35 BST on BBC One

Katya continues to drive a wedge between Susan and the Kinski kids. When Susan catches a mild cold, Zeke’s terrified she’s hiding a more serious illness. Zeke finally breaks his silence and confides in Katya, who promises she’s not like other adults – she’ll never lie to him. Zeke trusts Katya but resumes his silence with everyone else. Susan can’t help feeling jealous of Zeke and Katya’s closeness. Realising they’re both guilty of petty point scoring, Susan offers to take Katya out for dinner to clear the air. The two bond over dinner. Susan talks candidly about her time with Alex. Her guard down, Susan reveals too much, allowing Katya to surmise potentially dangerous information - Karl broke his Hippocratic Oath telling Susan about Alex’s illness.

Turning her back on her old life, Rachel’s determined to push the boundaries and drags Bree into her plan to graffiti Lassiter’s. Bree tries to dissuade Rachel. Max busts them and Bree bravely takes the fall for her troubled friend, claiming it was all her idea. Katya uses the situation to criticize Susan’s parenting.

Stingray isn’t a finalist in the Eden Hills Film Competition, but has impressed Josh Nelson, Dean of the local film school. He’s given the task of telling a story in nine photos. Rachel offers to help and he’s grateful for her support.

'Licensed To Swill'
Airs Wednesday, May 3 2006 at 17:35 BST on BBC One

Appalled to learn that Karl broke his Oath, Katya accuses him of selfish motives. He fears she may dob him in to the Medical Board. Meanwhile, Susan is frustrated that Zeke will only speak to Katya, and is furious when she finds Katya has taken Zeke out for the day without informing her. While Susan and Karl search for the kids, Katya makes progress with Zeke and is dismayed to learn that Susan has been (seemingly) trying to keep her apart from her little brother. Katya is further riled when she sees Rachel and Stingray together (apparently amorous) and blasts Susan for her poor parenting, demanding that she be allowed to see the kids whenever she likes. Pushed to her limit, Susan demands more respect and Katya reacts badly, threatening to fight Susan for custody.

Concerned for “battered” Izzy, Ned is hostile towards Paul. Terrified of exposure, Izzy manages to stall Ned’s “rescue plans”. But when guilt-ridden Ned as good as admits to Elle that their break-up was due to another woman, Izzy panics. Relieved to find that Elle suspects the “other woman” is Sky, she convinces Elle and Paul to steer clear of Ned from now on. Just when Izzy seems in the clear, Ned spots her (innocently acquired) black eye and presumes Paul is responsible. Furious, he heads off to confront Paul – how will Izzy get out of this one.

Stingray is pessimistic about the film lecturer’s challenge, doubting he’s cut out for uni. Rachel helps him overcome his nerves, get back to basics, and have fun with the project.

When Lou starts selling alcohol, Paul calls in an Inspector to close the Store down. To Harold’s great relief, Lou reveals his temporary Liquor license – lording it over Paul.

Izzy’s brief moment with Ned has achieved the desired effect, having split Ned and Elle apart. However the fallout from this bomb is proving to be very difficult for her to manage. Honorable Ned, determined to do the right thing, is a liability, determined to be upfront with Paul - something Izzy can’t allow. While playing the game of being attracted to Ned, Izzy schemes with Paul to lever Ned out of Erinsborough for good.

Angie’s arrival in town is ruffling feathers at Number Thirty, and across the street with Janelle. The long held grudge between the Timmins and Rebecchi clans is set to be a motivating factor in Janelle’s determination to have a giant wedding. Angie turns to Toadie for some support, without telling him that she’s here after taking “time out” from Big Kev. The only people truly uplifted to see Angie are Harold and Lou, especially when she offers her full support in the ongoing café war with Paul.

On the rebound from Ned, Elle decides to focus on Stuart. Connor warns Stuart that he is playing with fire, but affronted Stu, citing his undying love for Sindi, insists that all is above aboard. However, their ‘harmless few drinks’ takes an unexpected turn when Elle proposes they check into a room at Lassiter’s for a few drinks more...

Elle, confused and hurt by Ned, manages to “borrow” Stuart to help her sort out her feelings. However, motivated by a combination of desire for revenge and wanting to escape the pain of rejection, Elle takes Stuart to a hotel room and makes a towel-dropping proposition to him. Startled, Stuart is too gentlemanly to accept.

Ned, having been led to believe by Izzy that she is in an abusive relationship with Paul, has made it his mission to protect her. Izzy, equally determined to rid the neighbourhood of Ned, arranges an out of town audition for him. Izzy is confounded at every turn by Ned’s impenetrable ‘niceness’. Without realising it, Ned manipulates Izzy into joining him on the drive to the Sydney audition. Ned hopes that this journey will be the start of a new life for them both. With no choice but to accompany him, Izzy has no idea how she’ll hose Ned off.

Sky overcomes her initial nervousness about fitting into the university crowd by launching into a radio show at Uni FM. Her maiden broadcast is a subscriber drive where she promises to remove an item of clothing for every promised subscription.
