Sadie kicks off with Rosemary
Airs Sunday, April 2 2006 at 19:00 BST on ITV1


Matthew and Sadie arrive at the Sinclairs’ to agree the settlement. Rosemary is very cool and invites them to sample her new French chef’s cuisine. Rosemary’s solicitor conducts the handover and as Sadie reads the document Rosemary smugly notes that though the company was worth a million on Friday, when the market opens tomorrow, the stocks will plummet.

As a final blow, Rosemary implies that the French cuisine they have just eaten was Sadie’s beloved horse Cossack. Feeling sick, a distraught Sadie leaves. Has Rosemary just duped Sadie twice over?

Elsewhere, Rodney invites Paul to sample his new wine and during a heart to heart exposes his own flaws and admits he’s been out of line by not understanding Paul’s sexuality. They share a warm moment as Rodney tells Paul that he’s proud of him.

Paul moves back into Mill Cottage

Out of the blue, Tom gets a call from old rival Don Clough and he offers to sell Tom his old haulage wing. Tom spies a chance but feigns disinterest. Tom finds out that his good friend George is ill and heads off to Spain, reluctantly leaving Clough in Jimmy’s hands. Meanwhile, Sadie has got wind of the fact that Clough is selling. Could this be the perfect opportunity to make money and get revenge on Tom?

Meanwhile, Paul moves back into Mill Cottage and as he unpacks he comes across a CD of Ivan’s. As he returns it both men can’t help but be wistful as they close a door on their relationship. Paul wonders what would have happened if Nicola hadn’t screwed things up and Rodney listens in, feeling guilty about Nicola’s scheming.

Later, Rodney decides to try and get Jamie to sell a worthless vase that he was going to throw out. Rodney assures Jamie that he’ll give him half the profits if he can sell it. Can a confident Jamie get the £1,000 he thinks he can?

The Woolpack has a 70s disco

Rodney decides that now is the time to help Paul out and at the Woolpack’s 70’s disco night announces that it’s clear Paul still loves Ivan and they should try again. It is evident Paul has moved on from Ivan but there’s a flicker of thought from Ivan when Paul moves away. Does Ivan still have feelings for Paul?

Elsewhere, to make room for shooting parties lodging at the B&B, Steph surprises Adam by moving all his belongings into her room. The pair enjoy some intimacy but Steph notes that so far their relationship has been about her and she asks Adam about his past. The doctor is firm that he doesn’t want to talk about it. What is he hiding?

Meanwhile, Alice decides to come home early from hospital but when she tries to hold Samson she stumbles with him. Alice assures Sam that it’s nothing to worry about, but Sam tells her to stop pretending everything’s okay. Demanding the truth from her, Alice admits her frustration that despite her will being strong, her body seems to be letting her down.

Adam hammers home the truth to Steph

Paul apologises to Ivan for his dad’s behaviour the previous night and Paul is shocked when Ivan reveals he wants them to start again as lovers. Paul doesn’t feel the same way and tells Ivan they don’t work as a couple and doesn’t think they can be friends either. Will a heartbroken Ivan be leaving the village for a while?

Meanwhile, Nurse Grace tells Adam that she has taken a call from an elderly man asking for details about him. This leaves him unnerved. Later on, Steph tries to tease Adam about being cagey, but he admonishes her, noting not everyone is hung up on their past like her.

Elsewhere, at the Antiques barn, Jamie spins a yarn to Perdita Sinclair-Hyde about the worthless vase. She isn’t interested but almost knocks the vase on her way out. Jamie sees an opportunity and knocks the vase himself, blaming her. Rodney is impressed when Jamie hands over the money and Rodney gives him £500 as agreed. Will Jamie be caught out when Rodney watches the CCTV footage?

Adam proposes

Steph’s confidence is knocked when Adam’s bright and breezy ex-wife Isla turns up at the B&B to off load more of his belongings. Adam’s mood is much better as the caller turned out to be a hypochondriac checking out local doctors. Steph, unaware of this, mistakes Adam’s mood change as being solely about Isla.

When Isla has gone, Steph is spoiling for a fight. To prove his love, Adam asks her to marry him. Shocked, Steph refuses and states that he won’t love her when he knows what she has done. Steph blurts out that she murdered her best friend Shelly. How will the doctor react to her shocking confession?

Down in the dumps, Dawn goes out and gets drunk using money set aside for some clothes for TJ. At the end of the night she goes home to relieve Terry who has been babysitting TJ. Seeing the state she is in, Terry insists that he stays overnight in case TJ needs him.

Jamie works in the café again
Airs Friday, April 7 2006 at 19:00 BST on ITV1


Steph fears the consequences of what she has told Adam. She tells him that she accepts that their relationship is over, but is terrified that he will report her to the police as it would destroy Turner. Still shocked by the revelation, Adam tells her that he needs time to think. Will he stand by Steph?

Elsewhere, in desperate need of funds, Lesley and Simon look for a new lodger to replace Ivan. Lesley is shocked when she goes to call the Hotten Courier to put in an ad and finds that their phone has been cut off.

Also, Jamie finds himself working in the café again but he’s frustrated when Viv dismisses all of his entrepreneurial ideas. He decides to open his own mobile café and reckons that Viv will rue the day she put the dampeners on his ambition.
