This is a story after Dennis has returned and n-one knows the truth about him and Zoe ok
Kerrie opened the door to her silver Porsche, her blonde hair rested gently on her shoulders, she was wearing a vibrant long red coat, black loose trousers and stiletto heel black boots
She shut and locked the door to her car before walking across the Square heading to the Queen Vic
The doors to the pub swung open as the pretty blonde headed over to the bar, people drinking stopped and stared
Chrissie- what can I get you
Kerrie- an orange juice please
Chrissie- that’ll be £1.80 please
Kerrie handed over a five pound note
Kerrie- keep the change
She sipped her drink as she looked at her watch her eyes glanced at the door
She took a cigarette out of a packet in her bag and lit it
Kerrie smoked her cigarette in silence the doors opened and Kerrie looked up and smiled
Kerrie- well you’re a sight for sore eyes
Dennis grinned and kissed Kerrie on the cheek
Dennis- so what brings you to my humble abode I thought we were meeting tomorrow?
Kerrie- I got inpatient
Dennis- that’s not like you now is it
Kerrie- what are you implying Mr. Rickman
Dennis- I’m not implying anything Mrs. King
Kerrie grinned
Dennis- are you all set
Kerrie- well I am are you
Dennis handed her a key and an envelope
Dennis- this will get you the plans
Kerrie smiled- think of the money
Dennis- you mean think of the look on his face when he realises someone has nicked a few hundred grand from him
Kerrie- well he’ll never suspect his loving wife will he but this is just the beginning I’m gonna take him to the cleaners
Dennis- remind me why you married him again
Kerrie- love darling
Dennis- you hate him
Kerrie- oh all right money but I put up quite a performance on my wedding day I even cried because I was so happy, more like sick at the thought of being married to him for the rest of my life
Dennis- now that I would have paid to see
Kerrie laughed
Kerrie- well with this robbery he’ll lose a lot of dough next stop will be blackmail I think I’ll need some incriminating pictures of him with his secretary
Dennis- he’s banging her is he
Kerrie- oh yes caught them ages ago he doesn’t know that I know though but if he doesn’t pay I’m gonna humiliate him big style
Dennis- how
Kerrie- well lets just say pictures like the ones I’m gonna get can end up anywhere really I mean imagine if they accidentally got put in his office or sent to my dad or even myself I mean newspapers could get hold of them nasty blackmailers could poster them around town it could be terrible and I would obviously be devastated
Dennis- obviously I mean you poor long suffering wife
Kerrie- exactly and if my father saw them well he’ll be long gone that’s for sure and I’ll be a rich widower
Dennis- or he don’t die but…
Kerrie- what
Dennis- you steal every single one of his businesses and leave him a lonely man
Kerrie- I like it
Dennis- well the wicked step-mother is giving me the evils so I better get to work
Kerrie- I’ll see you later
Dennis- call me
Kerrie- will do
She turned and walked out
Chrissie- old flame
Dennis- how did you guess?
Chrissie- you’re still late for your shift
Dennis- how about I stay a bit later help you out after hours make up for it
Chrissie- all right sweet talker but don’t expect me to let you off so easily next time
Dennis- as if but…
Chrissie- but what why is there always a but where your concerned
Dennis- can I work tomorrow and have Thursday off got a card game planned with a couple of mates
Chrissie- all right but you do tomorrow afternoon as well as the evening
Dennis- I think I can manage that obviously the stories are true
Chrissie- what stories
Dennis- Cinderella you know the wicked step-mother
Chrissie- you’d look good in a frock
Dennis- you do a mean stare
Chrissie- we do have a cellar you know I could lock you in it
Dennis- I thought Cinderella was locked in the attic but the offer is tempting
Chrissie- you do know your fairytales don’t you
Dennis- what can I say I have a lot of free time?
Chrissie- maybe a double shift will put a stop to that
Pauline- I hate to interrupt you two
Her voice dripped with sarcasm as Dennis rolled his eyes
Dennis- what can I get you Pauline a dry sherry or how about something with a bit more kick a bitter lemon?
Chrissie tried to hide her smile
Pauline- you’re just like your father
Dennis- your usual then
He served Pauline
Chrissie headed down to the bar where the Moon brothers were waiting to be served
Jake- usual please Chrissie
Chrissie- coming up
Jake- you seem to be coping well since your husband left
Chrissie- well you know how it is men are men see a bit of skirt and their mind goes into over drive
Jake- well you know if you ever need cheering up
Chrissie- what are you doing tomorrow then
Jake- you always this forward
Chrissie- do you always ask this many questions
Danny picked up his drink
Danny- I’ll leave you to it shall I
Jake didn’t notice his brother heading to Alfie and nana
Danny- sorry about that I think he’s pulled
Alfie- Chrissie
Nana- poor thing hasn’t her husband just left her
Danny- yes nana with some twenty something apparently god knows why if I had someone like that for a wife I’d stay at home everyday
Alfie- what about Sam
Danny- what can I say Sam’s great but well…?
Alfie- your brain belongs elsewhere
Danny- ha ha
Jake- all right tomorrow night I’d like that a lot
Chrissie- I could do with a good night out
Jake smiled- I think I can manage that

Kerrie sat at home on the sofa sipping the glass of white wine
When the door opened and her husband walked in
Will- hello sweetheart
Kerrie- hi babes good day
Will- I’ve had better saw your dad today he wants us to go over at the weekend to his new gaff what do you reckon
Kerrie- we’ll see anyway you better have a shower and I’ll order Indian or Chinese
Will- Indian please
Kerrie- coming up
She watched her husband climb the stairs to there eight bed roomed house
Kerrie listened intently waiting for the shower to turn on
Kerrie grabbed her phone and dialled a number
Kerrie- it’s me
A smile spread across her face, faze one was complete
The next evening Chrissie and Jake stood outside the Queen Vic laughing their heads off over Danny’s failed attempt to chat up a couple of women
Jake- sorry I had to bring him he got stood up wouldn’t shut up
Chrissie- that’s ok he really does think he’s god gifts doesn’t he
Danny walked over holding his cheek
Danny- she slapped me
Jake- why
Danny- I said she had the most beautiful pair of…
Jake- no wonder she slapped you Muppet
Danny- I’ll leave you two to it shall I
Jake- finally you get the message
Danny grinned and walked off back to the house
Jake- thanks for tonight and I’m sorry about Danny
Chrissie- you’ve already said that
Chrissie lent towards Jake and kissed him
Chrissie- do you fancy a coffee
Jake- a coffee would be great
Chrissie kissed him again and led him to back gate
As they walked through the cellar Chrissie’s eyes gazed down briefly before she turned to Jake and smiled

It was a bright Thursday morning Kerrie awoke with a smile on her face
She saw the note pinned on her pillow
Kerrie- see you tonight love more than ever Will
Kerrie laughed
She got out her mobile and dialled a number
Kerrie- Dennis are we all set fantastic I’ll meet you at the usual place six thirty ok see you then
She hung up then flicked through her phonebook in her phone she stopped at dad for a brief second, no she'd call him later
Kerrie threw her phone on the floor with a sigh
Jake opened his eyes he looked across at the woman next to him she seemed so peaceful
Jake gently stroked a curl from her face before climbing out of bed pulling on his boxers and jeans
He opened the fridge door and pulled out the milk, the kettle clicked and Jake poured the boiling water into two mugs before heading back to the bedroom
He placed a mug on the bedside table next to Chrissie before climbing into bed the other side
Chrissie opened one eye and smiled
Chrissie- small problem
Jake- and what might that be
Chrissie- well Mr. Moon you seem to be still wearing your trousers
Jake grinned and lent over to kiss her
Chrissie pulled away slightly
Chrissie- by the way thanks for the tea
She placed her arm around his neck and pulled him gently towards her
Kerrie opened her wardrobe door as she pulled out her favourite black trousers, black boots and a white plunge neck t-shirt and threw them onto the bed
After Kerrie was dressed she left the house and headed to a café
She sat next to a youngish man
Kerrie- Mr. Davies have you proof that my husband is cheating on me
Mr. Davies- I’m very sorry Mrs. King
She handed him an envelope of cash and took the photos off him
Kerrie- and the negatives
Mr. Davies handed her another envelope Kerrie examined the negatives carefully before bursting into tears and running out
As she sat in her Porsche Kerrie delicately reapplied her make-up before driving off to Albert Square
Alfie- morning sleep well did we?
Danny- fine thanks
Alfie- where’s Jake
Danny- dirty stop out didn’t come home but I’ll give you one guess where he is
Alfie- not the Vic by any chance
Danny- got it in one classy bird aint she not sure bout the hair though I mean won’t it get in the way
Alfie- oh shut up you plank
Danny- I was just saying
Alfie grabbed a piece of toast and went to walk out
Alfie- don’t forget I need you to cover me at the stall at three I’m taking Nana for her check-up all right
Danny- I’ll be there
Alfie- well you better be
Alfie walked out
It was time to open the pub and Jake left Chrissie’s through the side entrance and walked straight into Dennis
Dennis- watch where you going
Jake- sorry what can I say I aint slept much
Dennis- if you hurt her in any way I’ll kill ya otherwise look after her Den hurt her don’t make the same mistake
Jake looked at Dennis surprised
Jake- I’ll look after her
Dennis half smiled and walked past him and into the pub
Kerrie grabbed her black coat off the passenger seat and slammed the door shut she glanced around the square before heading to the bookies knowing Dennis would be there
Dennis left the pub and saw Kerrie heading his way and caught up with her
Dennis- I thought we were meeting later
Kerrie- I’ve got something to show you shall we go into the office at the bookies
Dennis- come on then
Inside Pat was behind the counter handing over some cash to a lucky winner
Pat- morning
Dennis- morning Pat
Pat smiled she liked working for Dennis at the least he was straight well straighter than Andy that was for sure
Dennis shut the office door
Kerrie showed him the pictures
Dennis- I can’t wait for these to be posted up all over the place imagine his face
Kerrie- my mates gonna sort them out for me I better go six thirty
Dennis- I’ll be there I promise
Kerrie smiled and left
This is great - liked the little mention of Kerrie touching up her make-up once she got out to the car, she seems like a cool customer! And Jake and Chrissie - awww! LOL at Danny getting slapped before and calling Jake a dirty stop out!
Oh she is very cold believe me
Jake entered the pub later that day
Chrissie- hi
Jake- usual please
He grinned
Chrissie- what
Jake- any chance of a repeat performance
Chrissie- you’re keen
Jake- what can I say
Chrissie- you go upstairs give me five minutes
Jake walked through the back door and up the stairs
Chrissie- Tracey can you cope for half an hour I need to make a few phone calls
Tracey- I’ll be fine
Chrissie smiled and headed upstairs
Dennis looked at his watch it was half six he sat waiting for Kerrie a black BMW pulled into the car park
Kerrie opened the window
Kerrie- jump in them Angel we’ve got work to do
Dennis- you’re late
Kerrie- sorry you know what traffic is like this time of night
Dennis- let’s go
He climbed in and they drove off
Early Friday morning Kerrie opened her eyes she looked across at her husband sleeping next to her and an evil smile crept across her lips
The phone rang Kerrie sat up and picked up the phone
Kerrie- hello what yeah I’m Mrs. King yeah hold on
Kerrie shook her husband awake
Kerrie- Will it’s the cops
Will sleepily opened his eyes and took the phone
Will- what your having a laugh aren’t ya
Kerrie smirked as he rushed out pulling on his trousers
Kerrie- babes what’s up?
Will- I’ve got to go there’s been a robbery
Kerrie watched out of her bedroom window running to the car
Kerrie phoned her dad
Kerrie- dad Will’s been robbed do you know anything about it yeah I’ll meet you there bye
She quickly dressed and left
Dennis stood in the bookie’s office staring at the two black bags under his desk he grabbed them and walked out
Kerrie opened her Porsche door in the middle of the Square and everyone stared as Dennis climbed in and they sped off
Kerrie- it was priceless Dennis his face now let’s put this money somewhere safe until the time is right
Dennis- you really enjoyed it didn’t you
Kerrie- yep and now for the next thing blackmail oh and I saw my dad this morning you know acting the worried wife routine he’s lent me ten grand so that can pay for all the legal work and stuff
Dennis- having a rich daddy does come in handy
Kerrie- what can I say my daddy loves me
Dennis- but would he still love you if he knew what you were doing
Kerrie- dad hates Will if he finds out he’ll be glad
Dennis- just be careful
Kerrie- I’m always careful
Dennis-well you need to keep out of his way in Walford cos if he sees you
Kerrie- I am being careful
Dennis- so what are you gonna do with all this dough
Kerrie- put it somewhere safe somewhere that no-one will ever think to look
Dennis- where
Kerrie- just trust me yeah
Dennis nodded
Chrissie pulled her top back on smiling as Jake lay watching her
Jake- what are you doing tonight
Chrissie- I don’t know what are you doing tonight
Jake- seeing this gorgeous girl sex on legs owns her pub every bloke wants her including me but I’m the one who’s got her
Chrissie- is that right and this gorgeous girl do I know her
Jake- oh I think you do
Chrissie- I’ll call you when I’ve managed to chuck my punters out
Jake- shall I chuck them out now and then we can spend the day up here
Chrissie- I’d love to but not today
Jake- later then
Chrissie- yes later
She kissed him
Chrissie- I’ve got to go

Awww, Jake & Chrissie are so cute and Kerrie definitely seems to be getting one over on that husband of hers!
Downstairs Dennis walked in
Chrissie- you’re late
Dennis- I do have a business to run you know
Chrissie- I saw you
Johnny walked in and headed for the bar
Dennis- saw me
Chrissie- about an hour ago from the upstairs window going off in a Porsche with the blonde who was here the other day
Dennis- she’s a business associate and anyway you’re working what were you doing looking out of the upstairs window
Chrissie glared at him
Dennis- more sessions with Jake Moon
He grinned
Chrissie hit him with a tea towel
Chrissie- sorry Johnny what can I get you
Johnny- don’t worry I was enjoying it I’ll have a large scotch please
Dennis- oh look who’s creeping down the stairs don’t tell me there was a spring in your bed that was broke and he fixed it
He smiled mischievously as Jake let himself out of the back door
Chrissie- shut up Dennis go and find something useful to do like change the barrel
Dennis- you don’t need me to do that when you’ve got Jake
Chrissie- oh just shut up your worse than a five year old
Jake pushed the gate and stepped out into the sunshine
Johnny- so that’s where you’ve been hiding
Jake- erm yeah Chrissie
Johnny- I don’t want to hear it, whatever you do in your own time is up to you but on my time you work so get to work
Jake placed his hands in his pockets and strolled off
Johnny shook his head and smiled, what it was to be young again
He watched a silver Porsche drive away from Albert Square the car looked strangely familiar
Johnny shook his head and walked on
Kerrie arrived outside a run down shop she strolled in
Kerrie- Paul come on talk to me Paul
Paul- alright sexy
Kerrie- are they ready
Paul- three thousand pictures are all yours
Kerrie- you’re an angel
She counted him out his cash
Kerrie- six grand like we agreed and if it works another four
Paul nodded
Kerrie kissed him on the cheek
Kerrie- and remember not a word because my father let you off lightly last time
Paul- lips sealed tight
Kerrie- good
She left with her bag full of pictures well they were for tomorrow night and tonight she was going to act the dutiful loving and devoted wife
Dennis looked across the bar at Chrissie and smiled
Chrissie- what
Dennis- I didn’t say a word look I’m sorry all right if Jake makes you happy then go for it
Chrissie- it’s just a bit of fun something I need right now
Dennis- well have fun and smile then
Chrissie- go on get lost go and run your bookies
Dennis- yes m’lady
Chrissie- you daft git
She laughed as Dennis bowed and left
Johnny- he seems to have perked up a bit
Chrissie- he’s hurting he just hides it well that’s what happens when your father destroys you
Johnny- what did Den do to him that was so terrible?
Chrissie- not for me to tell you it’s up to him maybe he’ll talk to you cos he sure as hell won’t talk to me every time I bring it up he says he doesn’t want to worry me and I’ve got enough to deal with
Johnny- he’s right
Chrissie- he might not be my flesh and blood but I’m the only family he’s got
Johnny- I’ll have a word
Chrissie- thanks Johnny
Dot wandered in
Dot- oh Chrissie is Dennis about
Chrissie- you’ve just missed him was it important
Dot- nothing that can’t wait
Chrissie- has he said anything to you since he got back Dot?
Dot- not really for me to say Chrissie
Chrissie- please Dot I’m worried
Dot- I know he misses Sharon but he won’t call her too stubborn that boy is too like his father I don’t doubt
Johnny- I’ll have a word maybe he just needs someone to take him under his wing
Dot- you’re too kind Johnny
Johnny smiled and left
Dot- has he not said anything to you Chrissie
Chrissie- nothing just refuses to open up
Dot- he will do give him time he’s a man you see not very good at showing their feelings
Chrissie- you got that right

Dennis entered the office in the bookies and sat down he was tired

Dennis- and that’s not all at Christmas I was leaving Zoë, leaving Walford with Sharon

Dennis- that’s right Den’s adopted daughter I loved her we were making a go of things but he couldn't have it he wouldn’t let it happen he’d already split us up once and he did it again
Johnny saw the pain in Dennis’s eyes as he recalled his goodbye to Sharon in the Queen Vic
Dennis- Zoë would have moved on she’s young but I knew Sharon was the one but Den oh Den’s clever he knew my weakness and my biggest weakness was him I couldn’t bare to become my dad so he told Zoë to tell me she was pregnant he knew I wouldn’t go he knew I’d stay and he’d of won again but he didn’t bank on Sharon going he tried to make her stay but she wouldn’t she couldn’t because Sharon can’t have kids
Johnny- I’m sorry
Dennis- nah don’t be I wouldn’t touch her you see I couldn’t not while Sharon was in my head so she looked elsewhere she was so desperate so clingy when I left I realised what I’d done to her to me I couldn’t face Sharon I still can’t
Johnny- it’s time to move on Dennis I better go but it was good talking to you
Dennis- it seems weird months of bottling it up it’s all out now in the open
Johnny- well it won’t leave these four walls I can promise you
Dennis- thanks

He got up and left

She turned and stormed out of the house

She climbed in her Porsche and drove off
Kerrie watched Will head downstairs the next morning and pick up a brown envelope
He opened it and dropped the contents Will quickly scrambled the pictures up and hid them
Kerrie- anything interesting in the post
Will- no sweetheart go back to bed I’ll bring you a cup of tea
Kerrie- ok
She smiled as she pulled the duvet around her she covered her mouth to disguise her laughter
Will sat at his desk looking at the photos and the note
Will- three hundred grand or I’ll tell your wife about these
Will quickly got out his mobile he was gonna have to sort this out
Kerrie smiled as she climbed out of the black BMW and looked around the Square she entered the pub
Dennis- how did it go
Kerrie- I had Lee pick up the money 10 minutes ago but I haven’t finished yet
Dennis- oh yeah
Kerrie- I’ll come over tonight and explain make sure you’re at the flat
Dennis- ok what time

Danny lay on the sofa at number 41

Danny moved his legs and let his brother sit down
Dennis and Kerrie sat in the flat he use to share with Zoë
Kerrie- so do you think he’ll go for it?
Dennis- he’s terrified of your dad he’ll go for it

Dennis- shall I do the pick up
Kerrie- it’s too risky I’ll get Lee to pick up again
Dennis- call me when you want me to get on with the other part

She got up and left
Johnny knocked on the door to number 41
Jake opened it
Jake- Johnny come in
Johnny- I want you two to do a job for me tomorrow
Danny got up and stepped into the hallway
Danny- what kind of job
Johnny- I want you to look into all the business dealings of a Will King
Danny- Will King isn’t he the multi millionaire businessman who lives in Kensington has his fingers in all the pies
Johnny- that’s right
Jake- all the business dealings
Johnny- all and talk to his business associates most of whom are women so I’m sure you can charm them
Danny- what’s he done?
Johnny- that’s what I want to find out he also has a secretary she’s easy to get around Louise Phelps
Jake- we’ll start first thing tomorrow
Johnny- good meet me in the Vic at five
Johnny turned and walked out
Danny shut the door – what was all that about

Kerrie opened her eyes and quietly crept out of bed she could hear Will downstairs
She heard the letterbox go and knew the post had arrived

Kerrie smiled
Kerrie headed out onto a landing
Kerrie- is everything ok babes
Will- everything is fine
Kerrie- shall I make you some breakfast?
Will- thanks I need to make some calls give me 20 minutes
Kerrie- ok
She headed to the kitchen and put the radio on and Cyndi Lauper’s Girls Just Want To Have Fun belted out
Kerrie laughed as she started cooking her husband’s breakfast
Jake crept out of the Queen Vic later than planned that morning and he was soon spotted by eagle eyed neighbours
Jake looked up at the window and saw Chrissie watching him he smiled and she smiled back
He jogged over to the house and let himself in
Dennis climbed out of bed and pulled on his jeans he needed some milk
It was a hot day so he pulled on his shirt and left the flat
Women turned and stared as he did up the buttons revealing his torso
Zoë watched him green with envy once upon a time he’d been hers now he couldn’t even look at her
Dennis entered the minute mart and grabbed the milk
Stacey- your looking pleased with yourself
Dennis- what can I say it’s gonna be a beautiful day today
Stacey- so what’s her name then anyone I know

Stacey smiled and watched him leave
Kerrie sat in her Porsche watching her husband deliver another three hundred grand to the meeting point the near mention of her father and he paid how sickening she hated weak men
She re-applied her lipstick and waited for him to leave
A young lad grabbed the bag and got in a taxi
Kerrie dialled a number
Kerrie- Lee get out at the tube then get on a tube to Walford I’ll meet you in the Bridge Street Café on Albert Square
Kerrie sped off towards Albert Square
Jake and Danny entered the Vic
Johnny- sit down boys
Jake- we didn’t find out much his secretary is definitely sleeping with him
Danny- he had a big deal going down with a bloke named Harry Jenson but cancelled at the last minute
Jake- he was robbed earlier in the week with nearly six hundred grand gone disappeared without a trace
Danny- and according to his secretary Mr. King is leaving his 25 year old wife she even showed us the divorce papers he’s sent off for
Johnny- now that is interesting
Danny- what I can’t understand is what a 25 year old blonde doing with an ageing fossil like Will King I mean there’s what 30 plus years between them
Jake- does it matter
Danny- I’m just saying
Jake- well don’t
Johnny- this Harry Jenson how much was the deal worth
Jake- more than you can imagine
Kerrie sat in the café with another bag full of money
Dennis entered and quickly went over
Dennis- sorry I got held up
Kerrie- I want you to take this bag to the lock-up until it’s safe
Dennis- is Will suspicious
Kerrie- no not at all call me
She walked out while Dennis grabbed the bag and headed towards the flat
Dennis arrived at the lock-up and dumped the bag well hidden at the back with the others so if her dad decided to make a rare visit hopefully he wouldn’t find them
Kerrie pulled up outside the lock-up and lifted another bag on to her lap
Dennis climbed in
Kerrie- how good are you at putting up posters
Dennis- I don’t know let’s find out
Kerrie- we’re covering his businesses, a couple of my dad’s ok
Dennis- give me a list then
Kerrie handed a piece of paper
Dennis scanned the list and nodded
Kerrie- take the BMW it’s parked outside the Bookies I’ll drop you off there
Dennis nodded
Kerrie- and I’m going home to hand deliver the pictures to my dad, myself, his business associates, his mother and a couple of newspapers
Dennis- let’s go
Kerrie started the engine- oh and in the BM there’s some stuff that will help the pictures stick
Dennis- keys
Kerrie- in the front pocket of the bag
They sped off

wow your scripts fab! :) cant wait for the next parts. is johnny allen related to kerrie (maybe her rich dad) or has links to her in some way? hope we get to know how dennis knows her too. just read most of the parts one after the other - great!

I made the picture along the bottom of my posts myself using Paint Shop Pro and added the text and everything to it - I wasn't sure what size image was allowed on this site so I just kept it the same as I use on another site and there doesn't seem to be a problem with it!

The next morning the sight that greeted the Walford market traders shocked them posters of will and his secretary were slammed all over the walls and littered the ground
Jake- Danny it’s Will King’s secretary Louise
Danny- not only that it’s Will King that she’s with
Jake- imagine if his wife finds out according to Louise she had a bit of temper problem
Johnny stepped out his car and looked at the pictures
He was holding a familiar looking brown envelope
Johnny headed towards Scarlet
Kerrie opened the envelope at breakfast
Kerrie- are you all right babes you look like you haven’t slept
Kerrie pulled the pictures out and screamed
Will- what is it?
Kerrie punched him in the face
Kerrie- how could you do this to me
She threw the pictures in his face
Will- angel I can explain
Kerrie- forget it
She ran upstairs and slammed the bedroom door shut
Kerrie began to laugh
She looked at her mobile seven missed calls from her dad
Kerrie hurriedly packed a bag and dressed
When she got downstairs Will grabbed her
Will- don’t leave me
Kerrie- you make me sick Will you betrayed me I’m going to my dads don’t bother calling
She ran out of the house and towards her silver Porsche
Kerrie sped off in a cloud of smoke
Dennis had to hand to Kerrie she certainly didn’t take being betrayed very well
He watched as the residents helped Gus clear up the mess
Kerrie’s Porsche screeched to a halt outside the club
She walked down the market
Dennis nodded and she smiled
Kerrie got out her mobile
Kerrie- there are pictures of you and Louise everywhere I’m gonna kill her then i'm gonna kill you
She hung up
The residents stared at her
Jake and Danny looked at her she seemed familiar
Danny- is that his wife
Jake- looks like it
Johnny came out of the club
Johnny- Kerrie
She turned to him before running to the car
Johnny- where are you going
Kerrie- to do her face some serious damage
She sped off and grabbed her phone
Kerrie- make sure you stay in the Square I’ll be back later
Kerrie arrived outside her husband’s office and smiled it was also covered with pictures
She stormed in and grabbed Louise by the hair and dragged her outside
Kerrie- had a good laugh with my husband have you
Louise- get off me your hurting me
Kerrie- I aint even started yet
She head butted her
Louise fell to the floor
Kerrie picked her up and punched her in the face a number of times
Kerrie- keep away from my husband or I’ll make sure your pretty face won’t be anymore do I make myself clear
Louise nodded
Kerrie grabbed her throat
Kerrie let her go and walked back to the car as Will pulled up
Kerrie- I'm going to talk to my father you can look after your bit of fluff she's in a bit of a mess

Kerrie got in her Porsche and straightened her hair and make-up before heading back to Albert Square

10 minutes later they pulled up outside Will’s offices

They entered the building and Jake knocked on the office door

Louise was sitting on the sofa cleaning herself up

Louise got up and ran out
Johnny- now about Kerrie she’s my daughter and I aint gonna let you or anyone else take advantage of her do I make myself clear

Will nodded and Johnny left with Jake and Danny

They got in the car and headed back to Walford
Kerrie got out her mobile as she stood in the middle of the square her good for nothing husband will get exactly what he deserves

Three quiet weeks past with Kerrie making sure Will played the dutiful husband but Kerrie’s devious plan had only just began making Dennis believe she was just going to divorce him the feisty blonde put her plan into action
Kerrie dialled a number on her mobile as she stood in the kitchen her house phone rang and the answer machine kicked in
Kerrie- Will I’m going shopping babes if your back before me remember we’re meant to be going to Alison’s for dinner at seven love you
Kerrie grabbed her coat and left the house
Dennis sat in the bookies sorting out some paperwork when Johnny arrived wanting a word with him about his daughter
Johnny sat in front of Dennis watching him carefully
Dennis- all she told me was that she’d humiliated him now she was going to divorce him and take him to the cleaners if she’s up to something she’s keeping me in the dark
Johnny- did you know she was my daughter?
Dennis- she told me yeah
Johnny nodded and walked out
Dennis let out a sigh of relief
Kerrie parked in the deserted car park and opened the garage she picked up two large petrol containers and placed them into the boot
Kerrie locked up and drove off now for the explosive finale she promised everyone
She smiled sweetly
Kerrie pulled up outside a rundown block of flats
She wandered towards a basement flat with a grey door
She knocked loudly
Louise opened the door
Kerrie- hello can I come in
She pushed past her and entered the flat

Kerrie grabbed Louise by her hair and threw her against the wall

Louise picked up her mobile phone off the floor after Kerrie let her go

She handed Louise her mobile phone and Louise dialled the number

She stood outside and breathed in the air right now she needs to sort out the house

She heard a car pull into the drive and looked out

Kerrie rushed to answer the door

After her father left Kerrie quickly put the finishing touches to her masterpiece of a plan she emptied some of a petrol container into a small plastic bottle before screwing the lid tightly on
Kerrie headed outside to the Range Rover and opened the boot she tipped some of petrol around the carpeted area
Kerrie screwed the top back on and shut the boot and locked up
In the house she grabbed both big containers and placed them in the boot of her black Mercedes Benz
Jake and Chrissie sat in the restaurant
Chrissie- I know he’s a pain but he is my stepson
Jake- not really you and Den aren’t together anymore
Chrissie- I know but I care about him
Jake raised his eyebrows

Half an hour later she looked at the clock it was nine

Kerrie smiled ok I’m going to get an early night
Will kissed the top of her head

She handed him the keys to his Range Rover

Kerrie ran up the stairs and changed into jeans, a grey hooded sweater and trainers
Kerrie got in the Merc and drove off
She dialled a number on her phone as she left
Kerrie- it’s me go and ask her for a cup of tea make sure she knows exactly what I want her to do
Hours later
Kerrie looked across at her snoring husband in bed she carefully lifted herself up and headed down into the kitchen and got out what was left of the small bottle of petrol
Kerrie got upstairs and opened the laundry basket in the bathroom
She soon found the blue shirt and black trousers Will had been wearing yesterday when he left
She took them out and lay them on the bathroom floor and poured petrol on his sleeves, the bottom of his trousers and then sprinkled the rest all over
Kerrie placed the clothes back in the basket and took the bottle back into the bedroom with her
She placed in the black bin liner under her bed
Dennis and Danny sat in the Vic alone
Dennis- Chrissie will go mental when she finds out
Danny- what she won’t know won’t hurt her
Dennis grabbed a bottle of vodka off one of shelves and poured them both two very large drinks
Danny- well we won as usual
Dennis- yep we did
Danny- so what do you reckon to Chrissie and Jake serious
Dennis- I don’t know
Danny- Jake’s happy happier than he’s been for a while so…
Dennis- well after everything Chrissie has been through she deserves something
Danny- me and Sam are well and truly over
Dennis- didn’t like the fact you played tonsil tennis with someone else
Danny- yeah and she’s a bit whiny
Dennis- she’s a Mitchell mate comes with the territory

It was gone two in the morning when the phone rang
Kerrie who hadn’t been to sleep answered it
Kerrie- hello yes this is Mrs King hold on I’ll get my husband
Kerrie shook Will awake
Kerrie- Will, Will there has been a fire Will
Will sat up- a fire where
Kerrie- at the offices
Will took the phone and soon left the house
Kerrie watched him drive away from the bedroom window
Kerrie grabbed the bin liner and ran down the stairs
She opened the front door and climbed in her Porsche
Kerrie arrived at the tip and threw the bag over the wall before heading back home
Later that morning Will arrived home tired and angry
Kerrie- did they say how it started?
Will- petrol apparently it’s arson and guess whose number one suspect
Kerrie- well you’ve got Jack to back you up haven’t you so don’t worry
Will gulped and looked guiltily at his wife
Kerrie- I’m going to see my dad you better go and get some kip
Suddenly there was a loud knock on the door
Kerrie opened the door and several police officers stood holding a warrant
Kerrie- that was fast work
She grabbed the warrant and let them in
Will was taken straight to the station while Kerrie showed the police around
DS Cole- we’ll need the clothes your husband was wearing last night
Kerrie- he was with a business associate last night he didn’t do it
DS Cole- then help us prove him innocent
Kerrie opened the laundry basket and pulled out the shirt and trousers

DS Cole smelt them then passed them to his colleague DC Fields
DC Fields- Mrs King the clothes smell of petrol
Kerrie grabbed them and smelt them herself
Kerrie- no he couldn’t have
DS Cole- we would like you to make a statement at the station please

Kerrie- oh god I can’t remember the number my minds all over the place can someone take me over to Walford to see him please I want to see my dad
DS Cole- ok we’ll take you there now then we’ll have to go to the station I’m afraid

Kerrie arrived in Walford she climbed out of the police car and rushed into Scarlet, tears pouring down her pale cheeks the two police officers with her trying desperately to keep up
Johnny was with Tina arguing once again about his failure to tell his children about their relationship
Jake and Danny were bottling up and arguing as Jake had discovered the truth about the lock-in the night before
Danny- it was a laugh what she don’t know won’t hurt her
But all stopped when Kerrie flew into the club and straight into her dad’s arms sobbing her eyes out
Johnny- what’s he done this time
Kerrie caught a breath and then spotted Tina
Kerrie- whose she
Johnny- a supplier now what’s he done
Tina glared at Johnny as he lied
The two police officers entered the club
Kerrie- last night there was a fire and they’ve arrested Will he had petrol on his shirt and now he’s in a cell and they want me to make a statement but what if he goes to prison
Johnny- calm down
Kerrie- but he went out last night he had a meeting with Jack he told me
Jake and Danny looked at each other they had never seen Kerrie so upset it seemed unreal

DS Cole- we know what you told us we talked to Miss Phelps and she denies arranging the meet and definately denies ringing you and leaving a message
Will- this is ridiculous she’s only saying that because I broke off our affair
DS Cole- Miss Phelps stayed in her flat all night last night
Will- I went to meet her but she didn’t turn up
DS Cole- how convenient for you
Will- I had no reason to burn the place down
DS Cole- you were nearly six hundred grand down a robbery took place in your factory nearly a month ago
Will- so I did not start the fire I wouldn’t do that

Kerrie lay on the rug in front of the fire exhausted all she wanted was this to be over for this nightmare to end she’d started it now she had to end it
She replayed the conversation with her dad in her head she’d said things she shouldn’t have done yes but they needed saying
Kerrie closed her eyes but a loud knock at the door

Jake sighed, who was he trying to kid Danny would never be able to look after himself especially not with Johnny around after everything with Andy
He shifted uncomfortably when he thought about Andy and the night he died Jake swallowed hard Chrissie could never find out what he saw he couldn’t risk losing her but most of all he couldn’t risk putting her in danger, he shivered at the thought of Chrissie getting hurt
Chrissie stood in the cellar as she changed the barrel in the Vic, she stared at the concrete where her husband lay buried she brushed a tear from her eye for the first time in her life she’d found someone who loved her and respected her
Chrissie knew Jake would be faithful to her she trusted him but what would he do if he knew the truth. If he knew she had murdered her husband he’d run a mile or call the cops and she’d lose him the thought made her stomach turn it wasn’t something she was willing to risk
Chrissie turned the light off and slammed the cellar door shut Den Watts was dead and buried and that was where he was going to stay
She climbed the stairs it was time for a fresh start

When she saw him even Kerrie was shocked he looked dreadful

Will- it’s ok I’ve spoken to my solicitor and he’d drawing up a document that gives you power of attorney of all the businesses and I’m signing the house over to you
Kerrie smiled, this was going to be so much easier than she thought

A week past Kerrie ignored the calls from her father
Ruby and Tina were getting on ok it had been strained at first but Ruby was finally settling down
Kerrie opened the door to her Porsche and climbed out it was pouring down with rain she rushed towards the gates and into the churchyard
Kerrie ran to the familiar spot in the grave yard and soon found the graves she was looking for
Kerrie knelt down in the grass and mud the rain was soaking her hair and clothes but she didn’t care
Kerrie- I’m so sorry mum
The tears mixed with the rain ran down her pale cheeks
The pain inside her was overwhelming as she sobbed her fingernails dug deeper into the mud
Kerrie- I wish you were mum you’d know what to do what I did was wrong but it’s too late
Watching Kerrie in the shadows was a familiar figure and he approached her
Johnny- Kerrie
Kerrie leapt up and ran into her dad’s arms and he held her even Johnny had never seen her so vulnerable

Kerrie- she’d understand she’d help me make it right

Kerrie’s phone rang as she was dressing
Kerrie- hello all right I’ll be right over
She hung up

She left the house and headed to the familiar run down flat, stupid bint why can’t she just ease up a bit

She hung up smiling
Kerrie walked back to the flat if she was going to make this look good she’d need more than Ben Yates expertise

She gulped slightly this was like Russian Roulette playing with your whole life if it was positive everything will change and what the hell would Jake say
Kerrie sat in the very expensive looking office of Doctor Benjamin Yates

Ben- this favour what exactly do you need me to do

Chrissie- I know you don’t want this baby I can tell
Jake- it’s not that I don’t want it I just think it’s too soon
Chrissie- don’t you think I know that
Jake- I love you Chrissie you know I do and I do want kids with you
Chrissie- let me finish
Jake stopped and looked up to her
Chrissie- if I’m honest I don’t feel ready for a baby with you yet
Jake- then I guess we’re both in the same boat
Chrissie- but it doesn’t solve anything I’m still pregnant
Jake- yeah I know look we’ve got time to make a decision we don’t have to make one now but at least we know where we both stand
Chrissie nodded
Chrissie- come on I’ve got punters to serve
She got up and walked out heading down the stairs the next thing she remembered was the sense of falling before a heavy blackness
Jake rushed to the top of the stairs before running down to meet Chrissie’s lifeless body at the bottom
The pub deadly silent began to murmur
Little Mo ran through to the back and the sight that greeted her caused her to stumble back wards
She grabbed the phone and dialled 999
Little Mo- ambulance please
Dennis walked into the silent pub
Dennis- what’s going on
He saw Little Mo standing behind the bar she looked dreadful
Little Mo- I’m sorry but we’re closing early there’s been an accident
Dennis pushed through the leaving crowds and the murmurs and he saw Chrissie lying at the bottom of the stairs blood covered her face and hair Jake sat on the bottom step he was shaking
Jake- she was just coming down the steps the next thing I hear is this scream
People gathered outside the pub as an ambulance pulled up
oh my god. that is so good. we both have stories involving chrissie falling down the stairs. if she looses the baby ours are becoming alike. It is so good. more

Kerrie slept badly that night she had terrible nightmares about her mother and Scarlet and the night they died in a horrendous fire
Kerrie sat up in bed her eyes widened with fear she was sweating
Kerrie burst into tears nothing she could do would bring them back
She picked up the phone she hadn’t done this in years but she dialled a number
Johnny sleepily turned as the phone rang Tina stirred as well Johnny answered the phone before she awoke
Johnny- hello
Kerrie- daddy
She began to cry again
Johnny jumped out of bed
Johnny- Kerrie
Kerrie- I had this really horrible dream mum and Scarlet were there I didn’t know who else to call can I come over
Johnny- sure but drive carefully
Kerrie- see you in a bit
She hung up
Tina turned over
Tina- who is calling at half two in the morning your fancy woman
Johnny smiled- it was Kerrie she’s on her way over she’s not feeling too good
Tina- do you want me to stay in bed?
Johnny- for now maybe
Tina nodded she knew his kids needed to come first
Jake sat in the Intensive Care Unit watching as Chrissie lay attached to a number of different machines her eyes closed
He picked up her hand and gently turned it over stroking her palms
Jake- Chrissie you can’t go and die on me not now not after everything we said everything we planned
He leant over and kissed the top of her head his own tears splashed down onto her pale cheek
Jake- you said you couldn’t imagine what you would do if you lost me and I can’t even bare the thought of waking up and not seeing you again that’s why you can’t go you can’t leave me here all alone
He kissed the palm of her hand as the tears slowly slipped down his cheeks
Dennis watched Jake from the glass window he saw the pain in his face he’d felt it himself the pain when he’d lost Sharon a tear escaped he wasn’t sure who it was for Chrissie, Jake, Sharon, himself but he cried for someone
Dennis felt very alone Chrissie was all he had left she was the only person not to hurt, destroy or leave him in his whole life when Vicki had gone Sharon had left him for good and his father had ripped his life into pieces she had still been there and he cared about her she needed protecting after Den had half destroyed her too but he couldn’t protect her now it was out of his control
Awww, poor Jake and Chrissie - hope she gets better! And poor Kerrie too, being all upset about her family. And it was sweet that Dennis knows Chrissie's the only one there for him. Great as usual! :)

Kerrie sat curled up on the sofa in her father’s lounge
Johnny- here
He passed her a large brandy
Kerrie- thanks
Her eyes were red and puffy, her skin pale and slightly grey she looked ill
Johnny sat next to her
Kerrie- I’m sorry
Johnny- you’ve got nothing to be sorry about
Kerrie- what I wake you at some god-awful hour and you’re not even a little bit mad
Johnny- no I’m not tell me about the dream
Kerrie- there wasn’t much to it just the same thing mum and Scarlet are trapped and I can’t get to them it just goes on and on over and over again
Johnny- you had this dream before
Kerrie- yeah nearly every single night since it happened it’s usually why I don’t sleep saves having to go through it again
Johnny- why didn’t you tell me
Kerrie- you had enough to deal with, Ruby and everything I didn’t want to worry you
Johnny- you can’t blame yourself you know
Kerrie- I wasn’t there I should have been
Johnny- so should I
Kerrie smiled at her dad as he pulled her into a hug
Kerrie- Ruby feels shut out she thinks…
Johnny- what
Kerrie- she thinks you wish it had been her and not Scarlet who died
Johnny- did she say that
Kerrie- not in so many words but she feels second best like she’ll never be good enough she’s my sister and everytime I see her all I see is her pain and suffering if you think what we feel is bad imagine her pain I miss Scarlet everyday and mum but nothing will ever bring them back we need to concentrate on the now today not yesterday
Johnny- I know you Ruby and Tina are my future
Kerrie- yeah we are all Ruby wants to know is that she’s wanted and loved not much to ask is it
Johnny- and what do you want?
Kerrie- me I just want to be able to get on with my life I’ve lost so many people I lost my real mum when I was three then mum and Scarlet and it’s hard but I get by and so will Ruby
Johnny hugged her
Kerrie- I’m going to crash here you better get to bed or you’ll be knackered in the morning
Johnny passed her a couple of blankets

Johnny- night sweetheart
He turned the lights off and headed upstairs

The doctor entered the ICU room he headed over to where Jake sat with Chrissie
Dr Williams- Mr Moon your girlfriend is showing excellent signs of recovery the latest scan shows plenty of brain activity we should expect her to wake in the next few hours
Jake looked at him and half smiled he knew he had to ask a question a question he was dreading
Jake- the baby did the baby survive only she’ll want to know
Dr Williams- your very lucky Mr Moon the ultrasound showed the embryo was showing signs of movement and life but over the next couple of months we will be monitoring Chrissie very carefully as there maybe damage to the foetus that cannot be detected yet but I will keep you informed
Jake- thanks
The baby was still here he couldn’t help but smile he didn’t realise until the doctor told him the baby was ok how much he wanted Chrissie and this baby
Jake- did you hear that gorgeous the baby is ok your still pregnant and I’m going to treat you like a princess until your better and until we have our beautiful baby right here
Chrissie’s eyelids fluttered her eyes were blurred and she could make out an image of someone and she could hear a muffled voice and then it hit her the smell the familiar smell of Jake’s aftershave
Chrissie opened her mouth to speak but she couldn’t move it something was stopping her from talking
Jake- is she ok
Dr Williams- well she’s awake
He gently removed the tubing from her mouth
Chrissie- Jake
Jake- hey don’t try to talk your ok
Dr Williams- hello Chrissie I’m Doctor Williams and your in hospital
Chrissie- hospital why
She looked around the room panicking slightly
Jake- you took a tumble down the stairs
Chrissie- I did why
Jake- because you can’t walk in heels
Chrissie smiled – shut up you try wearing them
Jake- not really me babes what’s the last thing you remember
Chrissie suddenly jolted she remembered the baby it was the reason her and Jake fell out
Chrissie’s whisper could hardly be heard as she asked about her baby her and Jake’s baby
Jake- the baby’s fine
Chrissie looked at him blankly
Chrissie- fine but…
Jake- we’ll know more in the next few weeks but both you and baby are doing just fine
Chrissie- I can’t believe it
Jake kissed her hard and Chrissie clung to him neither wanting to let go of the other

Ruby put two slices of toast into the toaster

Ruby- he left early

Tina- he said he’d back at lunchtime

She sat staring into her mug of coffee a churning feeling in her stomach whirled round and round
Kerrie got up and rushed to the bathroom and threw up
Tears slid down her pale cheeks why couldn’t she just stop thinking about it why couldn’t she just let it go
Tina pushed the door open and walked in
Tina- here
She gently helped Kerrie up
Kerrie stared at her, her eyes filled with fear
Kerrie- I want it to stop all of it the dreams, the flashbacks, the haunting memories but it won’t
Tina let the young girl collapse into her arms sobbing
Tina- hey it’s ok your ok
Kerrie- but I’m not am I, I’m a mess a class A mess
Tina- your not you’ve got your businesses, your dad, your sister, you could have any man you want
Kerrie- but I don’t want any man I want Noah
Tina- Noah whose Noah
Kerrie- never mind it’s over it’s all over everything I’ve done has been for nothing now I’ve got nothing

Danny- haven’t you heard Chrissie had an accident last night he’s at the hospital with her
Johnny- is she all right
Danny- well I spoke to Jake about half an hour ago she seems ok at the moment they are keeping her in for a few days

Johnny got out his mobile and dialled a number as he entered his office

A couple of days later and Chrissie returned from hospital with Jake she was on crutches having broken her ankle
Jake helped her up the stairs
Chrissie- god this is gonna be probably the most tedious eight months of my life

Chrissie hit him playfully as he helped her onto the sofa
Chrissie- it’s not fair I’m gonna be stuck doing nothing
Jake- you’ll be fine
Chrissie- easy for you to say your not the one whose six weeks pregnant oh and has broken her ankle
Jake- I’ve told you it’s those high heels
Chrissie- go and make yourself useful and make me a cup of tea
Jake grinned and kissed her lightly on the lips
Jake- your wish is my command
Kerrie had been staying with her dad she couldn’t face going home but the sun was shining and Kerrie was in a good mood and decided to pay an old friend a visit
Kerrie pulled up outside a large creamy coloured building half an hour later
The receptionist looked up as Kerrie entered
Receptionist- can I help
Kerrie- I’m here to see Dr Benjamin Yates
Receptionist- do you have an appointment
Ben walked out of his office
Ben- it’s all right Maggie if you’d like to come through Mrs King
Kerrie- thanks
Inside his office Kerrie sat down
Ben- I guess you want to see Louise
Kerrie- if I can I want to make sure she’s doing very well I presume she’s gonna be here for a while

They headed out of a different door and down a silent corridor
They passed several doors before they stopped outside a bright yellow door

Ruby sat on the sofa reading a magazine
Tina passed her a glass of orange juice
Ruby- thanks
Tina sat next to her
Tina- Kerrie got a bit upset the other day didn’t she?
Ruby nodded- she’s been through a lot we all have
Tina- she mentioned a bloke Noah I think his name was
Ruby shrugged- I’ve never met a Noah
She sipped her drink then something clicked Noah the name seemed familiar but she couldn’t put her finger on it
She got up and walked over to the bookcase she pulled out a photo album
Ruby- Kerrie’s wedding to Will
She opened them and a good looking man caught her eye
Ruby passed the album to Tina- that’s Noah he and Will hated each other
Tina- why
Ruby- I don’t know there was just a lot of bad blood between them the wedding day was nearly ruined when Will and Noah had a fight and Kerrie left in tears
Tina and Ruby stared at the photograph not realising that Noah was about to make a return any day now
Kerrie walked over to Louise as she lay on the bed
Kerrie- hello Louise
Louise sat up and stared at her, her eyes were cold and empty
Louise lay back down and didn’t answer she just closed her eyes once again
Kerrie- just checking on you making sure they are looking after you
Louise once again did not reply
Kerrie- but you aint talking and that’s fine by me as long as you stay like that
She turned to walk out
Louise- I can see right through you
Kerrie turned to carry on walking but Louise hadn’t finished
Louise- your scared I can feel it I can feel your fear
Kerrie stopped
Kerrie- scared I don’t think so
Louise- everyone will find out eventually you can keep me locked up but it doesn’t change what or who you are and when people realise who the real you is they’ll run
Kerrie swallowed hard
Louise- you put on this act but that’s all it is an act deep down you’re still a little girl it’s taking me a couple of days in here to understand you
Kerrie- understand me I doubt that
Louise- no I do I understand perfectly because your insecure and paranoid and a selfish, vindictive bitch and no-one really loves you do they not the real not the you I see
Kerrie- now that is where you’re very wrong there is someone and he loves me because of who I am
She smiled sweetly and pulled the door open
Louise- for how long though how long before he wakes up and realises there is nothing about you to love
Kerrie slammed the door and as she clung to the handle she slowly slipped to the floor the tears falling

Kerrie- just get me out of here before I kill her
Ben locked the door and lead Kerrie out of the corridor

Chrissie- pass me the phone I’ve decided to have an out of hospital party
Jake- you what your meant to be resting
Chrissie- I can sit downstairs and rest can’t I phone
Jake sighed and passed her the phone
Chrissie- and you can tell everyone can’t you it’s tomorrow
Jake shook his head- I’m not sure about this
Chrissie- but
Her bottom lip came out and she sniffed loudly
Chrissie- it’s for me though
Jake- all right
Chrissie grinned
Jake walked out and down the stairs while Chrissie made a few phone calls
Kerrie sat in her Porsche tears filling her pale green eyes
Kerrie opened her purse and pulled out a picture of a man the same man seen in her wedding photos
Kerrie stared at him as if looking at him made him nearer to her but it didn’t instead it made her realise how far away he really was
Kerrie took the picture and quickly ripped it into four pieces before throwing them out of her open window it was over that much was for sure if he loved her like he said he did then he would call her wouldn’t he but no nothing for nearly two weeks
She drove off in a cloud of smoke she felt the need for a shopping trip creep up on her
amazing as usual sorry if i don't reply for a while, read my signature!

He shook his head as the passenger door opened

Noah- sorry flight was delayed thanks for the ride
Dennis- that’s all right I’ve just got to pick up something then I’ll take you to the flat

Dennis- better wait until the morning get yourself some rest and time to come up with some really good excuses
Noah- so what are we picking up
Dennis- a bloody karoke machine don’t ask it’s for my step-mum she’s having a party in her pub tomorrow

He looked at Noah and realised exactly what he was planning

They drove off
Johnny, Tina and Ruby sat in the pub having a quiet drink when Kerrie staggered in under a sea of bags
Kerrie- dad I forgot my key and I parked my car near the club please let me in
Johnny passed the keys to Ruby
Ruby got up
Ruby- how much have you bought more to the point how much have you spent
Kerrie- just over fifty grand I think
Johnny- you’ve spent what
Kerrie- I was depressed and I wanted cheering up all right no harm in that is there
Ruby took a handful of bags off her and they left the pub
Johnny- what the hell has she spent fifty grand on
Tina smiled- you obviously don’t go shopping with girls much do you
Johnny- it’s her money I suppose
Kerrie then popped her head around the door
Kerrie- oh and dad I hope you don’t mind but I charged some of it to your credit card Amy in the shop said she’ll send you the details you can have it back now
She handed her dad the credit card
Johnny- you’ve done what
Kerrie- well most of my cards were at home you don’t mind do you
She smiled and walked back out

Dennis- oh and there is also Johnny Allen to consider I mean how do you think he’ll react when he finds out you and Kerrie have been cheating, lying and conning everyone around you

Dennis- well you’ll cross it sooner than you think he’ll be there tomorrow too
Noah- I don’t know who I’m more afraid of Kerrie or her dad

Noah- true but her dad does happen to be a very scary and influential gangster who’d probably chop me into little pieces

Kerrie sat in the kitchen the lights off it was three in the morning and once again she was avoiding sleeping she couldn’t close her eyes for long before it’s all there in her face Scarlet and her mum or Will or Louise or Noah or… she paused she wasn’t going to think about him no way
The darkness let her be herself in the dark she didn’t have to hide or pretend to be someone else and all she wanted every since she was a little girl was to be herself not to have to put on an act making out your ok when your not
She’s been doing that all her life and now it was too late it’s like she’s too damaged to tell the truth to allow people in because that’s how she got hurt
Kerrie struggled to breathe why had she turned out like this she started out ok then one thing happens and your whole life turns into a complete road accident
Standing up Kerrie tried to regulate her breathing but she found herself beginning to panic more which wasn’t helping she hadn’t had a panic attack in weeks so why now
Kerrie rushed to sink and threw up sliding down onto the floor she curled herself up trying to protect herself but who from and then it her like a ten tonne truck the only person she needed protecting from was herself

Chrissie watched him as she dressed she was still very tender after the fall everything took at least a hundred times longer especially getting dressed
Jake stirred and Chrissie knew she was lucky to have him he’d been great a knight in shining armour

Jake- what do you want me to do
Chrissie- Dennis has still got the karoke machine over his place can you go and fetch it later
Jake- why can’t he bring it over
Chrissie- he’s got a meeting please
Jake- fine but I’m sleeping at the moment I’ll do it later
Chrissie lay her head next to his on the pillow she slowly blew into his face
Jake grabbed her arms
Chrissie- that’s not fair

Kerrie opened her eyes and looked around she felt alone she listened to the silence and decided to go and get dressed she needed to get out she needed some air
Upstairs Kerrie stood in front of the mirror staring at herself without any warning she swung her fist into the glass letting it shatter onto the floor
Kerrie looked at her hands the blood forming in droplets on the floor she slid to the ground and slowly began picking up the broken glass her bare feet were also cut from the stray glass
Kerrie felt the tears sting her eyes what was happening to her she couldn’t even control her own anger she was losing it she was going mad a knot of anger, frustration and guilt twisted inside her
She looked down to her to her clenched fist and slowly opened it she let the blood stained glass drop to the floor there was blood everywhere
Leaning back against the bath Kerrie closed her eyes

Kerrie stood in front of the graves once more three people she loved were buried here two mums, a sister and her… she couldn’t even think about him not even dad knew about him
Kerrie looked at her mum and Scarlet’s graves together she walked to the back of the cemetery to another gravestone Phoebe Webber died aged 22 that was her mum
Kerrie could still remember finding her on the bed at first she thought she was asleep but her skin had been this horrible grey colour her lips blue she remembered crying when mummy wouldn’t wake up
Kerrie knelt down and traced her finger along her mother’s name

It was getting late when Kerrie arrived back her white t-shirt was splattered with blood and her jeans were covered in mud
Johnny, Tina and Ruby had been waiting for hours for Kerrie to return they’d all been worried sick
Kerrie walked in her hand bandaged she looked a mess

Kerrie- walking I needed some air
Johnny- I’ve been worried sick you left a right mess in the bathroom blood and glass everywhere

He pointed to her hand
Kerrie looked down at her hand the bandage was a mixture of red and brown from the blood and the mud

Slowly she turned and walked out of the room in the hall way Kerrie sat slumped on the stairs
Her head began to slowly bang against the wall with an echoing thump
Johnny watched his daughter he wanted to help her he wanted her to let him but she wouldn’t
Johnny walked over and grabbed her head to stop her from hurting herself

Noah stood in front of the bathroom mirror straightening his black tie his hands were shaking he hadn’t seen her in nearly six months and god he’d missed her but what if she’d changed her mind
He shook the thought quickly from her head and downed a large whiskey he’d poured earlier
Dennis banged on the door
Dennis- I’m going over I’ll see you there
Noah- all right I’ll be ten minutes tops
He waited until he heard the door slam before leaving the bathroom
Noah walked to the window he wanted to go over so what was stopping him and he knew what it was he couldn’t handle the thought of Kerrie rejecting him they’d been through too much together
Pouring himself another large whiskey Noah put the tele on and decided to wait a while just in case
Kerrie- he was setting you up for some dodgy deal with some bloke Harry Jenson
Johnny- how did you know
Kerrie- I picked up the extension heard everything you don’t seem surprised

Kerrie climbed the stairs and entered her bedroom
She pulled open the drawer next to her bed and pulled out a small plastic packet of tablets taking two tablets out of the bag she popped them into her mouth and swallowed before placing the rest of the tablets into her little black handbag
She looked at the framed pictures by her bed one of her mum the other of Scarlet, Ruby, herself and her mum and dad
They were the people who had mattered but now nothing mattered nothing at all she wanted things to go back to how they use to be when she was happy
Kerrie shrugged happy when was she ever god damn happy I mean really she was an unwanted unplanned accident, her mother wanted an abortion, her dad didn’t want her, her mum committed suicide and now she’s set up her husband for arson, her dad knows and her lovers dumped her happy bloody days
She pulled on her strapless red mini dress and black knee high boots she picked up some jewellery and put on her watch and bracelet on each wrist to cover the already visible scars
Kerrie remembered vividly the day she got the scars a day she never wanted to relive again

Kerrie cut straight to the chorus after deciding she didn’t like the rest, her words slurred as she sang the seemingly fitting words to her life

People in the pub stared at her bemused by her drunken performance

ok i may sound really dumb here but whos Kerrie?
I made her up I started writing this story in February and I wasn't sure on Johnny's history so I made one up
Helooooo wos bored so I thought I wud post more

The doors opened and Kerrie re-entered the pub

Noah- listen this isn’t to do with Dennis this is about Kerrie what the hell is going on with her she’s hanging on by a thread that thread breaks and she’ll tumble over the edge
Johnny- don’t tell me about what my daughter is like I know exactly what she’s like
Noah- you keep telling yourself that
He shrugged Johnny off before following Kerrie to the pub Dennis caught up with him
Dennis- just go steady yeah Kerrie’s fragile
Noah- I know what she is and I know what’s made her like this
Dennis- she needs help Noah professional help
Noah- she’ll be fine
Johnny listened to them talking
Dennis- stop sticking your head in the sand both of you
He turned and looked at Johnny
Dennis- I care about Kerrie but you two fighting isn’t gonna help her she needs both of you to work together or you’ll lose her completely

She sat slumped in the bathroom trying to get her breath back before she was sick again
As Kerrie composed herself Dennis, Noah and Johnny entered the pub

Kerrie left the Bathroom the sea of faces staring at her
Kerrie- oh knob off and mind your own business
She stormed through the pub and was about to leave when two uniformed police officers entered the pub

Lee Stevens half smiled- is there somewhere else we can talk

Lee- you’re not under arrest Kerrie we just really need to talk to you

Lee- it’s about your husband
Kerrie- soon to be ex husband so you’re better off talking to him
She pointed to Noah
Lee- and you are
Noah- Noah King Will is my older brother
The crowd that was listening gasped she’d been having an affair with her husband’s brother
Lee- I’m sorry to inform you but Will King was found dead in his cell earlier this evening it looks as though he had hung himself
Kerrie’s eyes widened with horror
Noah- he’s dead
He looked at Kerrie he saw the look on her face
Kerrie- I’m gonna be sick
She pushed through the crowds and back into the toilets where she stood in front of the mirror silently the tears sipped down her cheeks
Kerrie splashed her face with water she stared at herself in the mirror she’d killed him maybe not with her own hands but she’s made herself as bad as him she’d stooped to his level
Kerrie slumped to her knees as the earth shattering scream echoed around the silent pub
Lee- is she all right
Noah- her husband’s dead what did you expect her to do
Lee- anyway what are you doing back in the country?
Noah- heard about me then
Lee- there isn’t a copper who hasn’t
Noah- I’m visiting my sister-in-law not a crime is it
Lee- just don’t think about trying any of little scams
Noah smiled
