Laurel challenges Nicola
Airs Sunday, March 12 2006 at 19:00 on ITV1


Laurel lets it slip to Ivan that Nicola has admitted she lied about them having an affair, but Nicola is unrepentant. Later, Laurel challenges her friend again and insists she tells the truth. They have a row, culminating with Laurel throwing Nicola out of Mill Brook. It appears Nicola really has no friends left to turn to.

In the Woolpack Rodney announces that he feels that the family can sort it all out. However, Laurel interjects spurring Nicola on to tell the truth, but she can’t go through with it. Laurel is convinced her friend was finally going to make things right. She takes charge of the situation and reveals that all Nicola has claimed about Ivan is a lie. Faced with the disgust of the locals, Nicola systematically launches into a character assassination of everyone there.

Having crossed the line and offended everyone in sight, will Nicola finally accept defeat and leave the village behind?

Jamie re-appears in the Dales

Bob is delighted when Jamie arrives back in the village unexpectedly and is encouraged by his son’s tales of a successful business venture back in Spain. Enthusiastic, Jamie reveals his new company are looking for investors and urges Bob to chip in with a couple of thousand pounds. Proud that Jamie is making a go of it, Bob agrees to the cash. Hiding his relief, Jamie heads out to make a mysterious phone call. What is Jamie’s new venture?

Meanwhile, Rodney tries to cheer up a miserable Paul by taking matters into his own hands and talking to Ivan. Ivan’s clearly too angry to make amends, and accuses Paul of being an emotional coward. Tensions mount when Ivan enters the pub. Paul tries to talk to Ivan but it quickly spirals into an argument and Ivan storms out.

Elsewhere in the village, Philippa is taking note of Dawn’s actions and later, Scott finds her struggling with a flat tyre. His suspicions are raised when he catches sight of a camera and recording equipment in the boot. Philippa is evasive and will only hint at what she does for a living. Scott is left thoughtful.

Bob catches Jamie fleeing with his money

Bob catches Jamie fleeing the village and is gutted by Jamie’s deceit. Jamie is forced to admit the truth and tells Bob all about his ex-girlfriend and the custody battle over their pet dog, Snoop. Bob’s sure it’s fictitious but Jamie insists that this time he’s telling the truth. Stooping low, Jamie blames Bob for being a rubbish role model. Bob’s stung by Jamie’s cruelty and he offers him the money back, pointing out he if takes it, it means goodbye. Although troubled by his dad’s distress, will Jamie take what’s on offer?

Elsewhere, Dawn is practicing her parallel parking with Jo and ends up scratching Cain’s car. Feeling guilty, Dawn eventually owns up to Cain but gives as good as she gets when he reacts badly. Finding ballsy Dawn amusing, Cain can’t resist flirting but Dawn is preoccupied by fretting about her looming driving test.

Meanwhile, Simon reports to Lesley that Nicola has cancelled her standing order on the mortgage repayments and wants him to buy her out. Having looked over his finances, Simon admits to Lesley that they’re financially in dire straits. Lesley reckons they need to get Ivan back as a lodger but Simon is sure he won’t return. Unwilling to be on the breadline, Lesley approaches Ivan but how will he react?

Dawn decides to help Viv
Airs Wednesday, March 15 2006 at 19:00 on ITV1


Dawn agrees to help Viv go to the station to find Jamie on the condition she lets her drive the van. En route, Viv explains that her sudden change of heart towards Jamie is that she wants Bob to feel positive about parenthood again and therefore want to have more kids with her. Viv is impressed with Dawn’s driving and notes that if she passes her test she’ll give her a job working for Hope & Deliverance. Dawn thinks her chances of passing her test tomorrow are looking up.

Meanwhile, Jamie starts to feel increasingly guilty about leaving things on such a sour note with Bob and returns to explain to his father that he couldn’t go through with his flit and has decided to return the money. Having heard Jamie’s apology, Bob is tentatively pleased about Jamie’s U-turn. Still determined to be reunited with Snoop, Jamie wonders if Viv can help by sending the money over to Spain.

Elsewhere, Val is informed that she has been assigned to a different community service, leaving Noreen secretly upset. Later that evening Noreen finds Val and informs her that she will stand against Pollard, claiming the change of heart came from a desire to wipe the smug grin off Pollard’s ugly mug. Is there more to her motive than a change of heart?

Scott feels guilty

There is celebration all round at the Woolpack when Dawn passes her driving test. Dawn’s delight is doubled when Jo arrives with a letter from Hotten College telling Dawn that she’s been accepted on her course. However, she then opens a second letter to find it’s from the DHSS detailing that she’s being investigated for fraud. Has Scott finally got his revenge?

Elsewhere, realising how precious Jamie’s dog is to him, Viv proposes to lend Jamie the money to get Snoop back, clear he’ll have to work in the café to pay it back. With pound signs flashing before him and sure he’ll have a get rich quick scheme together in no time, Jamie is gratitude personified.

Also, it’s curry-oke night at the pub and a nervous Louise takes to the stage as Olivia Newton John. Putting all her energy into it, Louise sings the first verse but is practically laughed off the stage for her appalling performance. Louise is crushed as she hurries off and blames Diane for orchestrating the whole thing.

Andy is disappointed at Katie's decision

Arriving at the job centre, Dawn is stunned to be greeted by Counter Fraud Investigator, Philippa Reed. Dawn is uneasy as a cool Philippa details that Dawn’s been investigated after an anonymous tip off. Dawn tries to play down her ‘casual labour’ but is stopped in her tracks when Philippa produces a videotape as evidence. Despite Dawn’s protests Philippa reveals Ashley, Adam and Viv’s statements corroborate her case. Dawn is alarmed to hear that she’s likely go to court. Is she facing a custodial sentence?

Returning to the village, Dawn turns her attentions to who shopped her and quickly accuses Kelly. As Dawn’s held back by Bob, Kelly denies everything. Later when alone with Kelly, Scott thanks her for not blabbing.

Also, in the hospital an excited Katie tells Andy that the police have managed to track down her mum and they’ll be staying at her aunt’s together once she’s discharged. Andy does his best to cover his disappointment at Caroline’s imminent arrival. Later in the pub, Jack is surprised to see Andy togged up for a night on the town. Optimistic, Diane bets that this is Andy’s way of dealing with the situation and Jack is encouraged to see Andy taking an interest in something other than Katie.

Oh I hope Andy doesnt fall for Katies crap. I really dislike her character! so is jamie the one played byAlex Carter from hollyoaks?
