Mobile PhoneTools

I'm not sure where the best place is to post this, so sorry in advance if its hte wrong place!

I got a new camera phone recently, and i brought a mobile phonetools thing to go with it. It should let me put all my pics from my phone onto the computer, but that part isn't working. I just wondered if anyone else has one of these and has the same problems. They are still pretty rare at hte moment, so only a few phones are compatible

What model phone and whats the software called?

I have a Motorola V220, and the software is just called "Motorola Mobile PhoneTools Version 3.0"

It says on the box "Connect your phone to your PC to share multimedia files, surf on the internet & Sync your data"

I brought it mainly for hte multimedia side of it, and this is where i have the problems. I guess it might be because of several virus' that i have had in the past. My sound card has been wiped completly, and no matter what you do, it wont work. Do you think this is stopping the rest of the multimedia from working?
