Preparing For The Worst

With her husband, Max, not contactable overseas, a pregnant Steph is hospitalised this week. While her condition rapidly deteriorates, Steph - who is also battling breast cancer - continues to refuse cancer treatment until her child has been delivered safely. Max's (Stephen Lovatt) teenage son, Boyd (Kyal Marsh), does whatever he can to continue to support Steph (Carla Bonner). But Boyd is shattered when Steph hands him a videotaped message that she has recorded for her family, should she not survive. Suddenly, Boyd realises his stepmother is making preparations for her own death.

Elsewhere, Susan (Jackie Woodburne) and Katya (Dichen Lachman) - who are battling it out for custody of Zeke (Matthew Werkmeister) and Rachel (Caitlin Stasey) - meet up for a mediation session. But things get quickly out of hand between the two women. And it doesn't take long for Katya to storm out.

Illicit Kiss
Elle and Stu's friendship takes a romantic turn just as Ned walks in!

Arriving back in Ramsay Street this week, Ned Parker is in for a massive shock. He's far from impressed when he returns home to find his ex-girlfriend, Elle, sharing a passionate moment with his brother, Stu. Unbeknown to Ned (Dan O'Connor), Stu (Blair McDonough) is heartbroken over the fact that his estranged wife, Sindi (Marisa Warrington), has just applied for a divorce. What's more, a scheming Izzy (Natalie Bassingthwaighte) has done everything she can to bring Elle (Pippa Black) and Stu together. And it's clearly worked!

"Stu had previously told Elle he was still in love with Sindi, and Elle felt so embarrassed," Pippa says. "They made it very clear that they were just friends. But now they just have this moment. They've formed a really genuine friendship and they share a kiss. They've poured their hearts out and it just happens." While Pippa doesn't believe that Elle has really fallen for Stu, she does say there's a "definite chemistry" between the two. "There's also a feeling of safety with each other," she says. "Then they have this kiss right at the point Ned walks in."

Outraged, Ned lets Stu know exactly what he thinks of him. And, before long, the brothers come to blows.

While Natalie Blair won't appear on our screens for some time yet, we jumped at the chance to pay a visit to Ramsay Street and spend a day with the gorgeous young actress, who has returned to reprise her role as the sultry Carmella. Looks like our campaign paid off! And as you can see from our sneek peek, she's taken no time at all to settle back into filming.

"We always have fun filming," says Natalie, as she shoots another scene with co-star Patrick Harvey, who will be farewelling Ramsay Street in the not-too-distant future. "It's sad that Paddy is leaving soon, I'll miss him," Natalie admits.

"Carmella is a bit of a glamour girl but that may change," hints Natalie, as she checks out her alter ego's wardrobe.

I htink she just wants to move on with her life and she knows what lengths her love for Stu pushed her to so she just feels she is better off without him. Or perhaps she doesnt want him moping around waiting for her

Why did they make Sindi out to be a psycho? She was so normal and nice before.
