After finding a cryptic poem, Chas heads out to the woods where she is bemused to find a box containing a camcorder. Pressing play, Chas watches in astonishment as Carl romantically proposes. Touched, Chas looks round to see Carl standing nearby, bearing a ring and waiting for an answer. Chas is delighted by the wonderful proposal but has Carl done enough to clinch the deal?
Elsewhere, Matthew looks for information about Alasdair. He is disappointed when he finds out he is a multi–millionaire and knows he cannot compete. Later, when Tom confronts Matthew, telling him he knows Sadie was at the dinner, Matthew insists the pair are history, but is he telling the truth?
Meanwhile, with Sam’s worries ringing in her ears, Alice starts to have doubts about the wing walk. But when a journalist reveals she has fan mail the pressure mounts. Can she really back out now?
Alice and Carl take to the skies

On the day of the wing walk there is no sign of Carl and Chas is certain that he can’t overcome his genuine phobia. However, as Alice’s plane takes off, Chas is amazed to see a petrified Carl following in tandem. Upon landing, Carl looks worse for wear and can barely form a sentence. However, despite being breathless, Carl manages to declare his love for Chas and once again asks her to marry him. But will his valiant act help him receive the answer he wants?
Meanwhile, Paul reveals to Ivan that he knows about his Aunt’s wedding. Ivan reveals that as they have not been together long he doesn’t want to come out to his family. Upset Paul leaves. Angry that Paul has to turn everything into a drama; Ivan turns to Nicola for support. But is her understanding genuine?
Meanwhile, Alice is still having second thoughts, wondering if the wing walk is a foolish risk. However, on seeing all her well wishers, will Alice make up her mind and go through with it?
Hari tries to mould Paddy into the perfect man
Tuesday 7th March
After Paul apologises to Ivan the pair begin to make up, however, when Ivan receives a call from an upset Nicola he heads off to her assistance. Nicola, loving playing the victim, sees this as a chance to get closer to Ivan. Bemused when he heads off for a shower, Nicola calls him back down. Worried by her urgency, Ivan rushes to her dressed only in a towel. He is shocked to find Nicola dressed in saucy underwear but will he give her what she wants?
Over at the Woolpack, Tom joins the Dingles to celebrate Chas and Carl’s engagement, but is shocked when Carl invites them all up to Home Farm. As Shadrach makes himself at home, Tom overcomes his reserve and enjoys playing host. Enjoying the party, Tom jovially informs Chas he expects his third grandchild soon, but will Chas share his enthusiasm for imminent baby making?

As Nicola tries to apologise to Ivan he cruelly blasts her. Later, Lesley, convinced Nicola and Ivan are having an affair, demands an explanation from Nicola. Still hurting from their earlier conversation, Nicola doesn’t deny the accusation. Disgusted Lesley threatens to tell Paul (Mathew Bose) unless she hands over Mulberry Cottage to Simon. However, refusing to be blackmailed, Nicola tells her to go ahead and tell anyone she wants. Lesley heads straight to Rodney and when he confronts his daughter, Nicola expertly plays the victim, allowing Rodney to believe Ivan took advantage of her. Will Rodney tell Paul about Ivan and Nicola?
Elsewhere, Hari is still convinced that Paddy has feelings for Toni so tries to mould him into her perfect man. However, as Hari asks Toni lots of questions about her ideal fella, will she get the wrong idea? And will Paddy take note of her answers?
Meanwhile, Scott admits to Kelly that Dawn has been really helpful and concedes that now the moment’s passed, he regrets shopping her to the Benefit Fraud Office. But as Kelly hopes his regret is not too late, Scott is sure that if they were going to act they would have done so already. But is he right?
Viv chats to Hari about pregnancy

Nicola tries to apologise to Paul, but incensed at his anger she tells him Ivan and her were having a full blown affair. When Rodney continues to defend Nicola, Paul is further saddened. When Kelly tells Rodney that Nicola is now saying she and Ivan had an affair – Rodney is confused as to why Nicola would lie and confronts her. Nicola panics but continues to tell her lies. Shocked, Rodney realises she knew what she was doing and how much she has hurt Paul. Rodney realises he has been a fool to pander to Nicola and tries to find Paul. But is it too late?
Meanwhile, Paul tells Diane and Val he is thinking of leaving the village. When Rodney enters the pub he receives a frosty reception until he reveals he is there to make up with his son. Rodney apologises for lavishing attention on Nicola and asks his son to return home. However when Nicola bursts in, Paul reveals he can not live under the same roof as her and asks his father to make a decision once and for all. Will Rodney choose his son over manipulative Nicola?
Elsewhere, unable to get a doctor’s appointment, a desperate Viv collars Hari for some friendly advice about pregnancy. Bemused, Hari suggests Viv and Bob go at it like rabbits. However, he offends her when he mentions that some animals have difficulty conceiving when older. Later when Viv produces her fertility chart, Bob is slightly alarmed to see their love making transformed into a regime. Will he continue to go along with her baby-making plan?
