'Let's Mace A Deal'
Airing Wednesday, 22nd February 2006 at 17:35 on BBC One
Dylan reacts badly to seeing Roo inside and, despite Stingray’s plea, launches himself at his nemesis, fists flying. Roo learns that it was indeed Dylan, not Paul, who shopped him for the ScarletBar robbery. Roo cryptically reveals that he was about to exonerate the Timmins boys - but now Dylan’s blown it. It’s not until Janelle and the family visit Dylan and Stingray to share the “good news” of Paul’s deal with Roo that the boys learn how close they came to freedom.
Sky and Lou fear that Harold is headed for a fall if he continues to repress his anger at Paul. But when Lou urges Harold to express his true feelings, the depth of Harold’s denial becomes clear. He insists that Paul needs compassion, not vengeance, and throws Lou out of his house – if Lou can’t support him through this difficult time, they can no longer be friends.
Lou encourages Sky to visit the boys in prison and she admits her reticence is based on the fear of seeing her friends suffering and confusion over the future of her relationship with Dylan. While she still loves Dylan, she candidly admits doubts over whether she’ll be able to wait the ten years till he gets out.
Newly reconciled, Janelle and Kim are all over each other, regardless of their audience – much to Janae’s comic embarrassment. Kim feels threatened when Paul informs them of his bid to free the boys from jail, but Janelle is quick to assure Kim that while Paul has always been good to Dylan, he will never be replaced as the children’s father.

However, Connor is given private cause for concern when Harold unthinkingly calls him “David”.

In order to make Ned jealous, Izzy contrives a situation where Ned sees Elle kissing another man in the street. Ned is secretly peeved, but for appearances sake he pretends to be unfazed.
Connor fears that, because Harold called him 'David', it means Harold is trying to bring his son back to life through him (Connor). In order to get his thoughts in order, Connor withdraws from Harold and meets up with Toadie at the pub. Toadie is simply pleased that his mate has returned to him. Connor's anger pours out when he throws bottles and abuse at Paul's house. Toadie considers this a relatively healthy release, but Harold puts paid to that and he takes Connor home, where they slip back into denial again. Rachel goes to the movies with Bree and Alex has a strong suspicion that she's deceiving them and meeting up with Jake instead. Susan agrees but still maintains that Rachel should be left to come to her own conclusions. As it happens, Rachel does go to the movies with Jake. She arrives back early and admits to Bree that Jake is not worth the effort. She finally admits her deception to Susan and Alex and both adults realise that Rachel is a good sensible kid.
