Alice panics
Airing Sunday, 19th February 2006 at 19:00 on ITV1



Alice panics when she hears the baby making strange noises and goes straight to the hospital accompanied by Del. The doctor assures her that everything is fine and that the noises are normal but an emotional Alice pours out all of her fears and self doubts to Sam. Alice explains that she can’t imagine seeing Samson grow up and is scared of losing him. Can Sam offer her any comfort?

Meanwhile, Betty and Dr Forsythe pay a visit to Terence’s ex-wife Janice in person. Janice looks frightened and shuts the door on them. The pair are surprised when a policeman turns up and tells them that there’s an injunction out on Terence and they should leave Janice alone. Back at the village, Betty goes to see Turner to tell him about the injunction, proving Terence is a bad lot. Will Turner finally accept that there is more to his son than meets the eye?


Terence threatens Betty
Airing Monday, 20th February 2006 at 19:00 on ITV1



Betty is at the bus stop when Terence approaches her and issues a chilling threat, telling her she might get a visit when she’s not expecting it. Frightened, Betty calls the police and tells them everything. Later Betty goes to the B&B and explains to Steph what has happened but that the police can’t look into her complaint unless Steph reports Terence herself. Adam reminds Steph there is no going back after she makes the call but will she find the courage to pick up the phone?

Elsewhere, Edna gets annoyed when Matthew and Jimmy are both yelling at her and she complains to Matthew that she needs to go and do the flowers at the church. She is further frustrated when Jimmy trails mud from his shoes onto the carpet. Matthew and Jimmy end up agreeing about on one thing – Edna’s days at the Kings are numbered.

Meanwhile, the Dingles have a night in with Alice, but she guiltily says that she’s happy for them to go out. Del decides to give them something to do in the house and comes home with a bag of upholstery remnants. They all set about making a patchwork quilt for Samson.


The police pay Terence a visit
Airing Tuesday, 21st February 2006 at 19:00 on ITV1



Terence goes to answer the door and is shocked to see two police officers from the child protection unit. The police question Terence but he insists that Steph and Adam have it in for him. After the police leave, Turner vents his frustration but is completely supportive of Terence. He vows to take the B&B out of Steph’s management. Meanwhile, Terence, who has supposedly given up alcohol, eyes up a bottle of whisky. Is he about to fall off the wagon?

Meanwhile, after a run-in with Jimmy, Edna quits her job and heads to Home Farm to explain to Tom why she resigned. She’s surprised when Tom offers her a position working at Home Farm instead. Later, Jimmy and Matthew (Matt Healy) are shocked to hear that Edna is Tom’s new PA but decide that their new secretary must be young and attractive.

Elsewhere, Daz’s school teacher goes to see Andy and tells him that Daz’s attendance is poor. Andy later talks to Daz and admits he used to be just like him, but wishes that he had gained more academically as it would have given him greater choices in life than he has now. Will Daz take the advice on-board?


Terence hits out at Turner
Airing Wednesday, 22nd February 2006 at 19:00 on ITV1



Terence secretly decides to leave the village until Turner tells him that he’ll have a bankers draft made out to for £20,000 later that day. Waiting in the pub for the money, Terence flies at Adam after he makes a dig. Turner is alarmed to see his son throwing punches and as they leave, with his tongue loosened by alcohol, Terence admits that he slept with Steph when they were kids. Turner refuses to hand Terence the bankers note and in a rage Terence hits out at Turner, who falls to the floor unconscious. Will Terence help his father or take the money and flee?

Meanwhile, Daz skives off school again and is alarmed to find the carcasses of six or seven dead sheep at the farm. He rushes to tell Andy and Jack. Hari comes to investigate and suggests that they may have been poisoned. Speculation starts over where the poison could have come from.

Elsewhere, Louise decides to go horse riding but Matthew is furious with her for taking Sadie’s horse, Cossack. To twist the knife further, Louise has borrowed some of Sadie’s riding gear. Will Matthew finally be forced to accept he still has feelings for Sadie?

Turner begs Steph for forgiveness
Airing Thursday, 23rd February 2006 at 19:00 on ITV1



Turner is taken to hospital and explains to Steph about Terence’s confession and begs for her forgiveness. Steph questions how Turner could have failed to notice that there was a problem. Feeling a failure as a father, he desperately tries to tell her that he didn’t know about the abuse, but Steph doesn’t believe him and is angry that he didn’t protect her.

Elsewhere, Nicola stirs things up by telling Paul that Ivan finds women attractive as well as men. Laurel asks Nicola again if she has fallen for Ivan and she finally confirms that she does have feelings for him and doesn’t think he’s really gay. Laurel warns her that messing around with her brother’s boyfriend is the last thing that she needs, but will this deter Nicola?

Meanwhile, Matthew finds a vent for his frustrations caused by Sadie and calls Lynda at Ashby’s B&B. He claims that he has been thinking about Lynda a lot lately and he calls for a taxi to come and pick her up and they have a cosy night in at Victoria Cottage whilst Chas and Carl are away.

Hari investigates the farm animals' deaths
Airing Friday, 24th February 2006 at 19:00 on ITV1



Having already discovered that the Sugdens' water has been contaminated with antifreeze, Hari assures Andy and Jack that there will be a thorough investigation. He says that they’ll be looking upstream, causing Jack to become suspicious of the Kings’ development. However, they decide to leave the officials to investigate.

Daz has overheard this conversation and he and Jasmine go to the Kings' development and find some rusty barrels. Believing this to be the source of the problem Daz takes a picture on his phone. The pair get caught by Jimmy and Matthew and Daz announces that he has photographic proof that Jimmy dumped the antifreeze. Matthew takes Daz’s phone and crushes it under his heal. A terrified Daz and Jasmine run away and Matthew asks Jimmy about the barrels. Will Jimmy admit his negligence?

Meanwhile, Turner still feels terrible about failing to believe his daughter and begins to question whether he knew about the abuse but put it to the back of his mind. In an attempt to make amends, Turner tells Steph that he wants her to be joint owner of the B&B. Sickened that Turner thinks he can buy her back will Steph throw the offer back in his face?
