Fantastic storyline with OK acting and great direction and outstanding special effects. The whole thing is almost ruined by an irrelevent side story about a kid with a crush :wall:

It really is good. But surely it all wouldn't happen that fast? I thought it was amazing. Our geog teacher made us watch it in lessons, we all groaned but by the end of it we had totally changed our minds!

It wouldn't happen that fast. The Director said that he deliberatley sped it up for the sake of the story. In reality it happens over thousands of years but it is a very real possiblity.

I loved that film. I agree that the crush did ruin it a bit but it was a good story

Special effects are great on that.

Spoiler ahead:

Best part was when the Mexicans closed the border to the Americans! I cracked up.

I didn't get that bit! On the commentary they were saying it was funny tho...

Was it because Americans don;'t let illegal immigrants from Mexico into America?

Yup - the roles were reversed.

For those who haven't seen it, well worth watching.

I'll second that! Don't you think the love story ruined it a bit tho?

Not really - it didn't detract from the storyline. Its not a thinking movie in my books - just a sit back and enjoy the ride type!

What was everyone's favourite scene?

Mine was when the tidal wave hit New York.
