'Slightly Off Key'
Airing Monday, 13th February 2006 at 17:35 on BBC One

Weak from living rough, Connor collapses. A concerned Harold takes him back to the General Store after hours to nurse him. Although Harold disagrees with Connor’s decision to turn his back on his old life, he can see Connor’s on the edge and takes pity on him. Dealing with the loss of his own son, Harold has empathy for what Connor’s parents must be going through, and Connor’s guilt intensifies. When Harold questions whether Connor’s fear is stronger than his love for Maddy, Connor breaks down, ashamed of his cowardice.

Steph swallows any residual misgivings over Joe and Lyn’s engagement and wishes her mum every happiness. But Sky’s less accepting - she suspects Joe’s caved in to Lyn’s demands to keep the peace. Sky can’t sit by and watch Joe make what she assumes is a big mistake. She publicly challenges him to be honest with Lyn and call the wedding off.

Unbeknownst to Susan and Alex, Jake’s been ringing Rachel and is keen to see her again. Zeke is worried for his sister and wants to tell Alex and Susan about Jake’s calls. But a determined Rachel blackmails him into keeping mum, reminding him no one likes a dobber – particularly Bree.

Keen to introduce Jenny to his friends, Karl invites her as his date to a dinner party at Susan’s. The night ends badly when Jenny misinterprets just how close the residents of Ramsay Street actually are. Mortified, Karl bundles her out the door and his mates have a lot of fun at Karl’s expense. But Jenny makes it clear she wants to see Karl again, and Karl is won over by her impassioned plea.

'The Wedding Spanner'
Airing Tuesday, 14th February 2006 at 17:35 on BBC One

With Harold’s support and encouragement, Connor makes the difficult return home, facing up to Toadie and coming clean to his family. Toadie is overjoyed to have his old mate back and just wants to put the past behind them. Connor full of shame and self-loathing feels worthy of Toadie’s forgiveness declines to return to Number Thirty. Wracked with guilt, he plans to move on again, but Harold urges him to stay at the Bishop House - they can help each other through their mutual grief. Toadie is hurt and confused by Connor’s decision and becomes even more concerned wihen Harold explains that Connor has been scared by his experiences and may never return to his old way of life.

Joe condemns Sky for interfering in his love life but Sky has Lyn’s best interests at heart. She reminds Joe of his lousy track record in relationships and urges him to consider the facts. A break up with Lyn some time down the track won’t just leave her distraught; he’d be walking out on Oscar too. Meanwhile, Lyn is forced to do a little soul searching of her own after admitting to Steph that her determination to rush Joe to the alter stems partly from a need for security. The thought of raising Oscar alone, as an older, single mum terrifies her. Steph queries if this is a good enough reason to walk down the aisle with Joe. Joe and Lyn come clean about their misgivings and a heartbroken Joe assumes this is the end. Desperate to hold on to him, Lyn insists otherwise, for the sake of their love, she will take a chance on Joe anyway.

Janae calls Boyd on avoiding physical intimacy with her and he admits he’s wary of seeming like the scumbag guys she’s been with in the past. Janae assures him that she feels safe in his company, and wants to be with him. Over the moon, Boyd set up a romantic getaway and goes overboard in trying to make everything ‘perfect’. The plans backfire, but Janae is still charmed - it’s perfect just as long as she’s with him.

'Jailhouse Crock'
Airing Wednesday, 15th February 2006 at 17:35 on BBC One

Joe and Lyn decide to free-fall and give their relationship a go. However, their celebration is cut short when Toby (Joe’s son) calls and requests Joe’s help in setting up a new farm he’s bought. Joe is torn, but Lyn finally makes him see that he has to prioritise his son and that, if they were meant to be, Joe will come back to her.

Despite Dylan’s warnings to the contrary, Stingray makes a decision to play the tough-guy in prison. When a paranoid Stingray starts a fight with a prisoner, he’s thrown into solitary for his efforts. Even this doesn’t teach him a lesson and he over-reacts by trying to stand up to some burly prisoners in his cell. Dylan tries to get through to him and it’s clear, when Stingray cries himself to sleep in his bed, that he does understand just how tough prison life is going to be.

Janelle takes her anguish over her son’s fate out on Toadie, whom she accuses of doing a rotten job defending her boys. Kim defends their nephew and, much to the surprise of everyone in earshot, he puts Janelle firmly back in her place. Janelle retorts by packing Kim’s bags and Kim asks his hot-blooded wife when she’s going to stop being so defensive and just admit that she’s in love with him.

A suffering Connor reveals his guilt over not saving Serena. Harold manages to put Connor’s mind at rest and Connor is in awe of Harold’s compassion, particularly in light of his own grief. When Harold explains to Connor that his Salvation Army work helps get him through, Connor wonders if the solution to his own sense of desolation lies with volunteer work, too, so he asks Harold if he can come along.

'Homeland Security'
Airing Thursday, 16th February 2006 at 17:35 on BBC One

As Kim prepares to leave Ramsay Street and move to a caravan park, Bree learns that his love for Janelle and the family runs deep and true. She begs Janelle to rethink her attitude to Kim, then calls Janae to come and help. Janae tells Janelle of her love for Boyd and points out that Janelle and Kim are the same. Will Janelle continue punishing Kim, or choose to re-find the love? Janelle and Kim visit the boys in gaol and in the sad aftermath do just that. Jane and Bree are overjoyed.

Stingray and Dylan deal with their first proper day in prison. Stingray’s ADHD symptoms are returning, and Dylan warns him to keep his emotions under total control. They maintain a façade of coping when Janelle and Kim visit, but Dylan nabs Kim to tell him to work, earn and get Scottie out on appeal. Dylan’s not sure he can survive himself – but he knows Stingray won’t.

Harold’s compassion and charity towards Paul impress the street, although they wonder if he’s going too far. When a paranoid Paul is warned by police that Tony Corbett may be on his way, Paul’s panic tests Harold’s pity; if Paul is indeed the target, then Harold’s family were collateral damage.

Susan and Karl compare notes. It’s clear that Susan loves her new family, whereas Karl is merely tolerating his new relationship.

Sky realises she’ll be in her late twenties by the time Dylan gets out of prison. It wouldn’t be an issue if she weren’t so deeply in love with him.

Janae and Boyd’s love is complete. But Boyd’s aspirations don’t match Janae’s. Will this be a stumbling block?

'My Flown Worst Enemy'
Airing Friday, 17th February 2006 at 17:35 on BBC One

Suspecting Tony Corbett is their mystery assailant, Paul’s paranoia goes into overdrive and he corrals Elle and Izzy inside the house. It seems his fears are justified when Tony’s body is discovered nearby – his death a result of contact with the same nerve agent that poisoned Izzy. With this news comes relief, but is their nightmare really over?

Zeke’s unable to keep Rachel’s secret and blabs to his father that she’s seeing Jake. Alex is appalled and metes out some hefty punishment, putting Susan offside in the process. She manages to convince Alex’s that his parenting is heavy-handed when it comes to Rachel. But in response to her father’s apology, Rachel lets slip that Alex has another daughter. Susan is knocked for six.

At a political function with Jenny, Karl witnesses the strife between Alex and Susan. He’s concerned and when Alex storms out he lends Susan a supportive ear. To his dismay, Jenny decides their relationship is going nowhere, reasoning that despite his claims to the contrary, Karl is still hung up on his ex-wife.

After his failure to keep Rachel’s secret, Bree makes good on her promise and breaks up with Zeke. He’s heart-broken and pleads that he was only trying to save his father anguish, but it’s not good enough for Bree – frankly, she thinks he’s weird.

Elle’s desire for Ned becomes plainly apparent when she attempts to dissuade him from quitting Gino’s musical. Paul interrupts their moment, but could something finally be about to happen between these two? :thumbsup:
