im trying to have a picture onmy name if you see what i mean but everytime i chasnge the pixels on it to 100 x 100 the pic goes all blurry,what am i doing wrong?

The picture is fine. I've just uploaded it against my own username and its working fine. What browser and version are you using?

Next to your name? Ah, that's an avatar and they are blocked for the time being. What you want to do is Edit Signature in the UserCP and add the image. (You probably need some webspace to hold the image)

I know this is an old thread but i did a search to see why i couldn't upload an avatar. Will this function ever be enabled for us minions mordor?

Lol. Its not about minions, its more to do with bandwidth. Avatars are stored on the main server which means they eat up bandwidth whereas signatures are stored on image hosting servers (totally independent), so they have no impact on the bandwidth.

As we only have a finite amount of bandwidth, I've only enabled avatars for admins and mods. Maybe I'll look into enabling it for senior members as well.

Maybe you could do the same with avatars as you have done with the private messaging and set a post limit? Tell me to poke my nose in someone elses hole if i'm overstepping the mark :D

Nah, you're not over stepping the mark. Suggestions are always welcome :) If it wasn't for bandwidth issues avatars would be enabled by default as they add to the board.
