Why was there a hole there in the first place and why was it shaped exactly like a regular burial hole?

And also wouldn't the builders be asking a few questions about Den's body being in there?

The hole was there because they were having the drains done at the Vic.
They filled the hole with bricks and rocks so the builders wouldn't have been able to see Den. The hole did look like a grave but maybe that was just a coincidence?

also the floor ws concrete! :confused: how the hell did chrissie manage to dug a hole there all on her own. and why is that know one else questions in eastenders.

How do you know Sam and Zoe didn't help her?
The workmen dug the hole anyways to fix the drains. All Chrissie did was dump Den into it and fill it with rubble and then the cement mixer came to cement over it.

If I was a workman I would be slightly confused that the landlady of a pub was helping me fill in a dug up hole that she was paying me to fill anyway....

I can't imagine Sam helping to dispose of Den's body. She's only just starting to get over his death.

But if Chrissie had put Den's body into the hole in the cellar, there would have been a pile of soil or rubble displaced. Roughly the same size/quantity as the body, what happened to that?

The hole was dug to fix the drains, the workman sorted it out and said they would be back the next day to fill in the hole with the rubble and cement over it. Chrissie dumped Den over the hole and filled it in leaving the workmens only task to cement over it.
