Natalie Bassingthwaighte, who plays Izzy in Neighbours may not be renewing her contract when it comes up for review in June due to other demands on her time.

The soap star not only has a gruelling shooting schedule for the show, but also is front person for Australian booming band, Rogue Traders. The band's rise in popularity has put a lot of stress on Bassingthwaighte and means that she may have to make a choice between her acting and her music career. "You kind of work all day, all night. I mean I love what I do but a bit more sleep would be great," comments the exhausted celebrity.

The band is currently filimg the video for their new single: Watching You.

problem is with Izzy is that she's such a good love-to-hate character, but they're very hard to sustain. she's done so much evil stuff since she arrived, and fater the plane crash and all that, i'd rather she left than have a personality transplant and settle down with someone. plus it'll take a pretty major storyline to get Izzy to leave the street!

i said this on the corrie board - i hate her character but you need people like that in shows otherwise it can be quite boring

I think they may end up exhausting the storylines for her though, as with all characters, there's only so much evil you can do. I also think it's time they let someobne else have a pop at some good plots, as she seems to have been at the centre of everything over the last 18 months

She's been planing to leave for ages, i wonder if she actualy will, if she hasn't already.
