No idea. His real name has never been revealed either. It's just his nickname and he's always been called Scooter apparently. Even his parents call him that, according to Sarah.

Maybe his name's something like Skutura or something Indian sounding, so Scooter sounds more English and easier to remember! :)

Thanks Bonnie1. Seems strange that there is no reason for the name Scooter.

Bearing in mind that there has been no other responses this must be the case.

Thank god for that. can't stand sarah/ tina and scooter is just a character the producers brought in to up the ethnic quota when they found out that corrie is not watched by many asians/ blacks (ditto the twins and the new mechanic)
