I just ate all the choclate in the house!!!! even the out of date stuff!!!! Oh well at least its gone now!

Found some good choclate bars by cadburys they are only 100 calories and less then 3g of fat I think they are called highlights and they come in orange and strawberry flavour.

My mum went to weigh watchers.. I looked at her point system and went on a diet.. I lost 2 and half stone in a year.. it think it is great but you have to have a lot of will power too

i joined Weight Watchers 7 weeks ago ive lost 12 1/2 pounds so far - didnt go last night tho because it was my birthday at the weekend and i was very naughty, its easy tho when you get the hang of it you will find that you dont cut out on favourite foods altogether you just dont eat as much with the points value i eat loads of salad and pasta and drink plenty of water every day and go to the gym as much as possible and you do notice the difference in time

Debs
21-04-2005, 12:51
i found counting the points best for me!! i finding it hard but am determined to stick to it. it is only my second day!!! it horrid when dave is eating something really nice but it is too many points for me!! or if my little boy is eating sweets, i always want one!!

happy birthday for the weekend by the way!!

phils little sister
21-04-2005, 12:54

Don't know who true this is but I heard that there is worms in Slimfast to help the process... could be just a rumour or myth

phils little sister
22-04-2005, 14:55
ergg... horrible imagine that - worms in your belly

Siobhan
22-04-2005, 14:57
Like I said, don't know how true it is.. it was just one of those rumour possibly...

Has anyone else hear this????

phils little sister
22-04-2005, 15:01
i think i remember someone saying that - its disgusting thinking about it - i think someone said that if you leave a can of it open in or out (cant remeber which) of the fridge appartently you can see it the worms like - dont no if i could even try that to see it would make me sick

Debs
22-04-2005, 15:05

My aunty did Weightwathers. We were all like :=====| with our motuhs wide open. From ------ she went to -- I was amazed. She didn't want to put herself on the magazine though!! She went really thin and we were all proud of her. Now my mum is on a diet but not with Weight Watchers. She does her own she just eats as half as much she usually eats but when she eats hungry she eats the other half but only when she really is hungry. So the tummy dont strech but goes in while your not hungry or hungry. She bought a tredmill and a rowing machine. She lost about half a stone. You can see a bit of a difference. She can 100% tell the difference. I am really proud of her!!

Can you explain the principle to me as I'm trying to loose about 1stone or 0.5 stone, not sure what yet so its not realy worth me joining up.

Cheers

Debs
26-04-2005, 13:22
baically there are two diets to choose from a no count diet ( havent looked at this as dont follow it!!) or the ponts diet!! you get a certain number of points per day to use on all you food!! you can earn more points by doing more exercise( good for if you go out for meal later inthe week coz you can save tehm up!!) the number of points you get depends on your weight, height etc!! i find the counting points a lot easier than counting calories per day thats why i joined up!!

sara05
26-04-2005, 13:27
Yeah Debs i wouldn't mind that ...
i agree on the full count plan ...
The choices on the no count aren't the best ...

Jade
26-04-2005, 13:31
I may join on-line as there isnt a meeting near me

Debs
26-04-2005, 13:34
i nearly joined on line!! it is a bit cheaper!! but i know i wouldnt stick to it!! there woild be none to weigh me in every week so it is easier for me to cheat!! i feel like i have to stick to it when a complete stranger is weigghing me!!!

sara05
26-04-2005, 13:47
I know a few friends who bunced in and bought an electronic scales and every week they meet up and all get weighed and throw a fiver into the kitty ...
They set themselves goals and whenever they reach their goal they get all their money back out of the kitty .. Quite a good idea

Debs
26-04-2005, 15:37
that is a really good idea!! i dont know enough people who want to lose weight!!

LUSHLOOKE69
29-04-2005, 00:03
I constantly try to lose weight but will power seems to go out of the window when I hear the words alcohol and take away. Found slimming world very good before though.
P.S. perhaps when we feel ourselves reaching for the buiscuit tin or really hungry but used up all our calories/points we could come on here to keep our mind off it and encourage each other

Debs
29-04-2005, 00:05
yeah take aways are my downfall!! i am ok with kebabs coz what i have are low in points but an indian or kfc and i have to break the diet for a day!!

chocolate is also a downfall
