Has anyone noticed the enormous bags that Emmerdale▓s Emily Kirk has been lugging around recently?

And there▓s a perfectly good reason behind those giant satchels and heavy woollies actress Kate McGregor has been wearing.

Yes, the glowing star behind timid Emily Kirk is expecting her first bundle of joy in December, so there▓ll be cuddles all round at Christmas!

After show bosses decided not to incorporate Kate▓s pregnancy into Emily▓s current storyline, writers have been beavering away on some emotional stuff that will see Paddy▓s ex depart the Dales some time this month.

And Whilst Miss McGregor has not yet decided whether she▓ll slip back onto our screens after the bouncing babe is born, scriptwriters have made sure that her options have been left well-and-truly open.

Thank goodness they▓re not bumping her off┘get it? Sorry.
