Time To Go
Carmella hits the road again, but not before she causes more trouble between Connor and his new love. Guilt-ridden over her manipulation of Connor, Carmella decides to leave Ramsay Street yet again this week. But not before she does serious damage to Connor's relationship with his current love, Serena! TV WEEK can reveal that Connor makes a shock confession to the teenage Serena - the feisty Carmella will always be one of the great loves of his life. Serena is gutted and also feels upset that Connor didn't reveal his true feelings to her earlier. "Serena is younger than Connor, but she has to be a mature adult and realise that he had a life before her," Patrick says. But Serena's sense of betrayal will skyrocket when she witnesses her boyfriend sharing a passionate farewell kiss with Carmella before she leaves Ramsay Street.

Earlier, Carmella feels remorseful when she learns that Connor is desperate to pay back the money she had lent him for an operation for his infant daughter, Maddy. For, unbeknown to Connor, the money didn't come from Carmella's family's shady business contacts, as she'd told him, but simply from Carmella's mother. Natalie says her alter ego would have done anything to win Connor over. "Connor is Carmella's first and only love. They've been through so much together. She was just desperate to get Connor backl," Natalie explains. "She thought his relationship with Serena wasn't serious. She thinks she and Connor belong together and she was in denial about Serena - she just didn't see her as competition at first."

However, before Carmella has a chance to tell Connor the truth about the loan, Connor - terrified of what may happen to him if he doesn't repay the "Mafia" money - takes matters into his own hands. He stages a mugging on the street to cover up the fact that he has stolen takings from the bikini shop. Things quickly get worse for Connor when local police officer Stuart becomes suspicious, finding that his friend's story just doesn't add up. Eventually, unable to keep her secret any longer, a guilty Carmella caves in and tells Connor everything. Connor is naturally furious at first. "He goes off at her," Patrick says. "He thinks, 'It's just like all the other times she played mind games with me'. He's upset and angry with her, and rightly so."

But after venting his feelings, Connor is able to forgive Carmella, admitting that she'll always hold a very special place in his heart. "At the end of the day, he knows she was just desperate to spend time with him," Patrick says. "If he were to put himself in her shoes, he probably would have done the exact same thing to spend time with her." Nevertheless, Connor is quick to point out to Carmella that he's with Serena now - and he remains committed to her. That's why, Connor feels, he must tell Serena everything. But Serena is far from understanding when Connor reveals all to her. Is this the end of their relationship?

Crossed Wires
Convinced that Ramsay St newcomer Ned Parker is gay, Toadie tries to do everything he can to make him feel comfortable about "coming out". "It's a bit of a comedy of errors between the two of them," laughs Dan O'Connor, who plays Ned. "It's a lot of fun." But Elle knows that Toadie has jumped to the wrong conclusion about Ned. Later, Stu's brother confesses all to Elle. What's his secret?

Meanwhile, the attraction between Janae and Boyd grows stronger. But it seems that Janae is still playing games with him. Will they ever be honest about their feelings for each other?

Anxious Wait
Dylan and Stingray lie low as police gather clues about the robbery. His nerves at breaking point over keeping silent about the armed robbery Dylan committed to save his life, Stingray is struggling to keep it together. While his brother, Dylan, was unrecognisable on the security camera footage, Stingray is still terrified the truth will come out.

Eventually, Dylan tells Stingray he's willing to turn himself in. However, certain the police won't believe their side of the story, Stingray says they have no choice but to keep quiet. But everything will change when Dylan learns the weapon he used in the robbery, which is covered with his fingerprints, is about to be handed into the police! "Dylan very much wants the fairytale ending, but it certainly doesn't look like it's going to go that way," Damien says.

Will Stingray be able to keep his nerve, so that he and Dylan don't arouse suspicion?

3 regulars are going to die (it doesn't name who).
The bomb was planted aboard the plane to "avenge Paul's sinister plot to sell Ramsay St to an American developer."
"The storyline - the crash and subsequent search for survivors - sets up a lot of our major storylines for next year".
"The altered behavour of a major character due to grief stemming form the crash leads to the year-ending cliffhanger - when he tries to kill another major character".
The perpetrator won't be revealed until next year.

Izzy, Elle, Paul, Susan, Alex and Sky are rescued.
Dylan and Connor wash up on shore. Dylan is on the run from the cops over the robbery and he doesn't want to be found. But he will show up (I believe at his own funeral/memorial service) down the track. However, the other neighbours assume he is dead, which could explain the "fourth death" that keeps being mentioned.
David and Lil are dead and Serena (who is seen alive post-crash then disappears) is presumed dead because she is never found.
Because the plane crashes into water, it is not immediately clear who is dead and who isn't as there will be a prolonged recovery mission.
Susan asks Alex to marry her after she is rescued and he accepts.

Neighbours Bomb Shock
Thanks to the Herald Sun

Three of the Network Ten soap's regular characters will die in the disaster.
Ramsay St residents jockey for seats aboard a DC3 joy flight over Bass Strait. Aboard the plane are Paul Robinson, his lover Izzy and daughter Elle; Connor and Serena; David and Liljana Bishop; Sky and Dylan; and Susan and Alex.
While viewers will see a bomb placed aboard the plane, they don't see the perpertrator's face.
"And while we're changing a major ingredient of the show, we are not necessarily changing the whole show." ~ Linda Walker, line producer.

TV WEEK Spoilers October 24-28, 2005

Plane Crash Horror
A joy-flight for some much-loved residents becomes a terrifying death ride when a bomb explodes on their plane. Frocked up and fabulous in 1940s fancy dress, 11 of Ramsay Street's neighbours are chatting excitedly and laughing together before boarding their much-anticipated joy-flight to Tasmania. It's the 20th anniversary of Lassiter's and Paul has decided to mark the occasion by organising a party flight. Little does he or the rest of them know, however, that someone has planted a bomb on the plane with a heart-shaped photo of Paul and Izzy next to it!

"Everyone's getting along, even though there's always tension between Paul and the Bishops," explains Patrick Harvey who plays Connor. "They're having a glass of champagne and they're just really excited." Once they're on the plane, the ill-fated passengers settle into their seats while Paul cheerfully welcomes them aboard, "for a night you'll never forget."

Amid the enthusiastic chit-chat and smooching, Izzy finds a mysterious note tucked in the seat in front of her, addressed "To My One And Only". Inside it reads, "Think about your life - and everything you've done." Bewildered, Izzy asks Paul about the note. "He thinks it's a note from a previous party flight and one of the gags from that," Stefan says. "He's not worried at all."

Izzy grows in creasingly paranoid and accuses Elle of being the author, but Elle remarks, "Think what you like. I've got nothing to do with your stupid little note." But anything the passengers were discussing is quickly forgotten when a loud explosion shocks them all! "It's a big surprise because everyone's just sitting there chatting and the next thing, bang!" Patrick says. "Nobody knows what's going on - it could have been turbulance for all they know. Next thing there's smoke and everyone's panicking."

In an effort to find out what's happened, Paul heads to the cockpit, but the pilots tell him to go back to his seat. Paul tries in vain to calm the horrified passengers, but he's in shock too. A terrified Alex is reassured by Susan that Karl will look after his children should the worst happen. Connor prays and hugs Serena, while David and Lil kiss, and Sky and Dylan bravely face the unknown with laughter. To Paul's utter horror, Izzy calls Karl's mobile and leaves an emotional message telling him she'll always love him. "Paul's devastated," Stefan says. "He's truly in love with Izzy, but when he hears that, it's a crushing blow for him."

But the real nightmare for the passengers is just about to begin. Everything goes deathly quiet and Paul declares, "We've run out of fuel." In the tension-soaked cabin, everyone adopts the brace position as the plane hurtles in darkness towards the Bass Strait.

Stranded in the middle of the ocean, Susan and Izzy find each other and desperately cling to plane wreckage. But when Izzy leaves Susan's side to help Elle, she turns to find Susan is gone. A traumatised Connor and Serena struggle to stay afloat in the freezing ocean waves. "They end up floating in a bit of the fuselage with some air above them," Patrick says. "Connor's trying to keep her from worrying about her parents and the fuselage begins to sink, so he convinces her to take off her life jacket and they duck under the water and swim out. There's wind and waves and Serena's getting delirious. She passes out and so does Connor."

As 11 lives hang in the balance, loved ones gather together and wait to hear news of who has survived the horror crash and who won't be coming home.

Dobbed In
With Dylan away, Stingray's forced to reveal his brother's role in the robbery. Receiving an anonymous top-off from Roo (Richard Cawthorne), the police find the gun used in Dylan's armed robbery. Soon after, they swoop on the Scully house, having discovered Dylan's fingerprints on the weapon.

"Dylan was sure that he couldn't possibly be identified in the robbery," says Damien Bodie, who plays Dylan. "But off course, when Roo rings in with the information about the gun it all goes downhill from there."

Dylan isn't at home, but Stingray immediately implicates himself when he tries to do a runner. "Stingray knows his brother was forced into doing the robbery," Damien explains. "But he's sure no one will believe him."

Later, pressured by Stuart and Toadie to come clean, Stingray finally confesses to his and Dylan's roles in the heist. However, Stuart remains extremely sceptical about Stingray's story.

Meanwhile, Dylan - along with many other Ramsay Street residents - is already on board the ill-fated plane with has taken off and is heading for Tasmania!

Tragedy Sparks Love
The plane crash prompts Boyd and Janae to confess their feelings. As Ramsay Street deals with news of the plane crash, Janae and Boyd put the games behind them and tenderly declare their love. While the teenagers become increasingly keen on one another, Janae sticks to her Janelle-inspired plan of playing hard to get, and Boyd is unable to express his growing feelings.

In an unguarded moment, however, Janae agrees to a date with the handsome student. Yet the evening is ruined when her mother appears in time to accompany them, once again dashing Boyd's hopes for romance.

Word of the plane crash rocks the neighbourhood and their game playing becomes petty under the circumstances. Janae finds solace in Boyd and they finally revel in each other's love.

Also on Neighbours...
Harold clings to hope, using his experience of being lost and presumed dead at sea to support his theory that a similar miracle has saved the missing Bishops.
