Tommy Lee has been left with burns on his arms and face after a pyrotechnics stunt went wrong.
The rocker was suspended 30 feet above stage at a Motley Crue gig in Casper, Wyoming when the explosion occurred.
Vince Neil, the band's singer, said: “He didn’t look good while the paramedics were treating him backstage so we chose to err on the side of caution and send him to the hospital.”
After being treated for minor burns, Lee was released and is expected to fully recover. No shows have been cancelled.
