CORRIE loudmouth Janice Battersby will lead a strike at knicker factory Underworld, it was revealed yesterday.

She gets the boot after clashing with love-rat boss Danny Baldwin - Bradley Walsh - over his affair with her daughter Leanne.

And as Janice (Vicky Entwistle) storms out, the other workers follow her.

A Street insider said: "Janice is peeved that Danny is carrying on with his life thinking he can walk on water.

"She is shocked when Danny fires her - but is encouraged by her workmates' support."

Things turn nasty when Sally (Sally Whittaker) crosses the picket line the following morning.

Sounds a great storyline, and a great/ideal one for Corrie. I can picture the storyline in a similar way to the miners strike, with people crossing picket lines. I hope Corrie do this storyline justice as it sounds really good.

Comedy Yes but I doubt whether it will be crapWell I don't mind the comedy scenes as long as they don't go too OTT with it :)

Don't worry. The UK's number 1 soap will have it covered. Sounds good anyway.

Richie there's no need to keep referring to it as 'the UK's No.1 Soap.' I already know it is :p

I actually prefer Emmerdale at the moment. My ideal world would be where the three soaps were regularly jockeying for top position, the way Corrie and EE used to do. However with the daft nonsense about various people returning to Albert Square I find it had to believe my once favourite soap EE will ever make it back to the top spot :)

I prefered EE for over 10 out of the first 17 years to anything else.

I find it a Shakespearean tragedy for us real long serving EE fans that it is such a terrible show nowadays. :crying:

Emmerdale is really good at the moment and has beating EE in a head2head... I think I will always have EE as my number one even though I know that other soap are beating it hands down at the moment... if you have seen any Irish soap you would understand how I can really enjoy EE even at its worse :rotfl:
