Sunday 16th October

Breakfast in the Baldwins’ starts uncomfortably between Carol and Frankie and when Jamie comes downstairs they fuss around him, which makes him feel a bit awkward. Carol decides to rub more salt into wounds when she makes a trip to Mike’s flat to see Danny. She starts to lay into him, calling him all the names under the sun. He fights back by telling her to clear off out of his life forever. However, after a couple of scotches Carol’s mood suddenly drops and she softens towards her ex husband. But Danny gets a shock when Carol starts to relent for everything that has happened between them and tries to seduce him. Seeing as Danny usually keeps his brains in his trousers, how will he react to this?

Over at Streetcars, Eileen complains that the company have had 17 hoax calls and they all aim the suspicion at gangster Jimmy for hiring Ronnie. The situation gets more frustrating when passengers start to accidentally spill things in both Les’s and Claire’s cars.

Martin is concerned when Robyn cancels their date, and sullen David sabotages Phil’s attempts to get in touch with Gail by first switching off her mobile phone and then deleting an ansaphone message. Will he lie to his mum when she asks if he has called?

And in The Rovers, Liz is shocked when she meets Andy’s mum and they are the spitting image of each other! Liz ends the fling immediately by telling Andy her husband is in jail for manslaughter.

Monday 17th October

Taxi jobs are piling up but there is no one to cover them and Lloyd’s annoyed that Steve and Ronnie have not turned in. When they finally roll into the cab office, Ronnie thinks they need to talk about the consequences of what they are doing, but Steve refuses to get serious about Jimmy’s threats. Lloyd calls an emergency meeting and is very concerned that Ronnie is a liability. She thinks it’s best she quit but Steve won’t hear of it and they decide to risk the consequences of staying together. Lloyd is defeated. But is this the start of something special for Mr MacDonald?

And in the Café, Roy has tried to sort the rota so that the two sparring women don’t work together, but as soon as Frankie and Leanne start work for the day, the hostility hangs in the air. It’s not long before a cat fight ensues and Roy has to break it up. He is dumbstruck when Frankie shouts out the reason why they are at loggerheads. Leanne knows they can’t work together anymore and leaves. After imploring Jamie to talk to her, she realises she is hated around Weatherfield, so she packs her suitcase, says goodbye to Janice and Les and goes away to ‘clear her head’.

And having not heard anything from Robyn, Martin goes to the school where she teaches in Liverpool. Robyn isn’t best pleased when he turns up at her work and tells him to leave her alone.

Monday 17th - 2

Lloyd is miffed with Steve who insists that Ronnie is still working for them, but unbeknown to him villain Jimmy has shocked Ronnie when he turns up in the Rovers. He wants her back and begins to frighten her. He leaves but makes it clear that he won’t stop at anything to get his ‘prized possession’ back.

When Steve hears about Jimmy showing up, he decides to go and face him man to man. Steve is worried when he sees that Jimmy has brought along his equally menacing son to the Weatherfield Arms for the showdown with Steve, so what will happen next?

In Underworld, Janice is gunning for Danny now that Leanne has gone, and vows to make trouble for her boss. She starts playing up in the factory and Danny hauls her into the office for a telling off. But feisty Janice is not concerned by Danny’s threats and leaves him stewing.

And Martin is still smarting over Robyn’s rejection earlier in the day, when there is a knock at the door. Robyn enters the flat and tells him that her brother is a policeman and has done a check on him. She tells him she knows he was charged with assault last year and arrested on suspicion of murder this year which his why she has backed off. Martin tries to explain himself but will Robyn believe his stories?

Wednesday 19th

Martin hasn’t slept for thinking about Robyn and whether she believed his story. He goes to the pub to drown his sorrows but it is not long before Robyn finds him and they have a heart to heart. She tells him that she believes him and they confess that they love each other. Meanwhile, Gail gets a text from Phil and realises she hasn’t heard from him because David has been deleting her messages. She later plucks up the courage to leave him a message on his voicemail, but struggles to go through with it. Will Gail and Phil meet again?

In Underworld, the workforce are getting bolshy but Danny is in no mood to take any cheek, and when Janice oversteps the mark again he looses his temper and sacks her on the spot. Hayley appeals with Danny to let her stay but he is defiant. Janice is furious and claims unfair dismissal. One by one all the girls, bar Sally, down tools - they are out on strike.

It is the day of the second scan and Dev is driving Sunita mad by asking about the sex of the babies. But the Sonographer can't tell because of the way they are lying. When they are back in the Rovers, Sunita confides to Shelley that she is beginning to feel a bit like a baby machine, since Dev’s only concern seems to be that he has at least one son and heir.

And Les tells Cilla of his plan to hijack the country church whilst the priest is away and get his mate Father Abraham to marry them. It won't be legal but it will be Cilla's dream wedding and they can have a hush hush registry office do a few days later.

Friday 21st October

Gail quizzes David about the missing text messages but he ducks out when Audrey arrives. Gail asks Audrey to have the kids tonight when Phil comes round but she is worried that David might be upset. Sarah tries to talk to David about his dislike of Phil. She tells him that it would be great if their mum could find happiness with someone who cares about her. Phil later comes round and they have a lovely evening but when things start to turn passionate, Gail starts to panic. Phil does understand when she can’t take things further, but she is shattered at ruining their date.

It’s a poor turn out at the picket line and Hayley is disappointed when Kelly phones in sick and Janice and Fiz arrive late with huge hangovers. Things turn nasty when Sally crosses the picket line and Danny and Adam act unconcerned. But reliable Hayley is determined to stick it out till Janice is reinstated.

Les asks a thrilled Kirk to be his best man at the wedding. But when Les goes and tells Cilla the news, she is furious because she wants her son Billy to do the job. She protests that Kirk will ruin the big day but approves when Chesney suggests that she sets Kirk a series of tests to prove his ability (because she knows he will fail!)

And over in Roy’s Rolls, Jack is delighted to discover he has a famous ancestor and starts crowing about him to Vera, but he beats a hasty retreat when it turns out Duckworth the sailor was a bit of a failure.
