TV WEEK Spoilers October 10-14 2005

Drastic Action
Connor resorts to desperate measures to repay the debt he owes to Carmella. Upset that Connor still hasn't fallen back into her arms, Carmella decides the time has come to pressure her ex-boyfriend to repay the money she lent him for his infant daughter's ear operation. "Carmella has been blackmailling Connor to spend time with him," reveals Patrick Harvey, who plays Connor. "Now Carmella tells him that her first payment is due and he doesn't know where to get the money from."

However, unbeknown to Connor, Carmella actually borrowed the money she gave him from her mother - not her father's shady business contacts as Carmella has led Connor to believe. But a terrified Connor decides that he has to do whatever he can to pay back his former girlfriend before her father's associates catch up with him. As a result, he steals money from the bikini shop and fakes a mugging on the street. "Connor's really desperate," Patrick explains. "He just doesn't know what to do. He's being controlled by Carmella, but thinks he's involved with the Mafia. He sees faking a robbery as his only option."

Criminal Intent
While Connor's faking a robbery, Dylan's committing a real one to save his brother, Stingray, who's being held hostage by Roo. "Dylan's life had finally come together before Roo reappeared," says Damien Bodie, who plays Dylan. "But everything goes downhill fast when he robs the service station."

Stingray is released after Dylan carries out Roo's (Richard Cawthorne) demand, but Dylan's troubles are far from over. Captured on a security camera, he looks bound for jail. Roo, it seems, has gotten his revenge on Dylan for giving evidence against him some time ago.

Bitter Pills
A jealous Elle wants Izzy gone - but has she taken it too far? We've seen Paul Robinson's daughter Elle carrying out her evil plan to drug Izzy Hoyland's food, but now it seems that the young schemer may have gone a step too far. The drugs that Izzy has unwittingly swallowed have reached such dangerous levels in her system that the Ramsay Street bad girl passes out cold and collapses on the floor!

Elle took a dislike to Izzy from the moment she arrived in Ramsay Street to stay with her father, Paul. "When Elle comes over from Tassie, she's expecting to have Paul's attention all to herself," Pippa says. "When she finds out her dad's got a new girlfriend, it upsets the boat. She hates Izzy from the start and wants her off the scene."

It wasn't long before Izzy was returning her feelings of hostility and the two were soon locked in a battle for Paul's attention. "Izzy and Elle play the same game," Pippa says. "They're both stubborn and neither of them is mature enough to talk about it." Adds Natalie: "They feel completely threatened by each other. When Elle's around, Izzy feels she's not going to get as much attention from Paul, and the same goes for Elle. It means they get less and less time with the guy who's important to them."

In order to have her father's undivided attention, Elle decides to dope Izzy, who is on the road to recovery after battling an addiction to prescription drugs. She thinks it's the perfect plan to turn Paul against his girlfriend. "Elle sees it as perfect ammunition," Pippa says. "She tries to get Izzy addicted to the medication again so Paul will want to get rid of Izzy of his own accord." To make matters worse for Izzy, Paul thinks his devious daughter is an angel. "Paul looks at Elle through rose-coloured glasses as the perfect daughter," Pippa explains. "But, meanwhile, Elle's doing the damage behind his back by drugging Izzy's food."

As the medication takes hold of Izzy, her nightmare is about to get worse. Disorientated and woozy from the dangerous dose of chemicals she's ingested, Izzy passes out, to the horror of both Paul and Elle! Oblivious as to the real cause of her fall, Izzy can't understand why she's been feeling so peculiar. When Paul jumps to the wrong conclusion and asks if she's abusing her medication again, Izzy can't believe her ears. She offers to take a blood test to prove that she hasn't been popping pills again, but the result comes back positive and it looks like Elle's scheme has succeeded. "Paul thinks she's been taking drugs and Izzy's furious because she feels as though she's finally gotten herself together," Natalie says. "She's very disappointed that, after everything they've been through together, Paul doesn't believe her. They've come a long way in their friendship and relationship, and they know every secret about each other."

Overcome with guilt, Elle nurses Izzy back to health, but when she gets the wrong impression that Izzy and Ned are having an affair, she resumes her old tricks and dopes Izzy's coffee. When Elle knocks the "special" coffee out of Paul's hand before he drinks it, Izzy becomes suspicious of Elle. In front of Paul, Izzy confronts Elle with her theory that Elle's drugging her food, but Paul isn't having a bar of it. "Paul thinks Izzy is delusional and making it all up when, in fact, it's not her at all," Natalie says. "He's pretty much the only friend she's got in the whole street and it's just heartbreaking for her."

It seems that Paul has taken sides with Elle, who has clearly inherited his evil streak, over his girlfriend Izzy. Now there's nothing to stop Elle in the dangerous game she's playing. Will she manage to get rid of Izzy from her father's house? Or will she accidentally get rid of Izzy for good?
