False Hope
Returning from his trip still harbouring hopes of reuniting with Susan, Karl is crushed to hear that she's engaged. But Ramsay Street's resident medico Karl is in for a further shock. Learning that Alex is Susan's fiancé, Karl is astonished to discover that Alex still hasn't told Susan that he is critically ill, suffering from an acute form of lymphoma.

Confronting Alex, Karl demands that he finally tell Susan the truth. Later, Alex breaks down and pleads with Karl to let him have a little more time before he comes clean with Susan and his family. Will Karl agree?

Dire Straits
Dylan's past catches up with him with tragic consequences for his family. Just when his life in Erinsborough seems to be going so well, Dylan's past comes back to haunt him. And the consequences will be devastating. In a dramatic development to the storyline, Dylan's younger brother Stingray, is kidnapped! Arranging to meet up with the abductors, Dylan is shocked to come face to face with a former nemesis from his previous bad-boy days - Roo (Richard Cawthorne).

Having recently been released from prison, Roo's prime objective is to settle the score with Dylan for giving evidence against him to the police. "Roo is back, and he has revenge on his mind," confirms Damien. "He wants to wreak havoc on Dylan's life. Roo knows that the way to get to Dylan is to attack him where he's most vulnerable - and that's his family. Even though Stingray and Dylan fight all the time, Stingray really means a lot to him. Their brotherly love is very strong."

However, Stingray's life is clearly on the line. And Dylan is very aware that he's responsible for this terrifying turn of events.

Carmella's Back!
The return of Connor's ex catches the Ramsay Street residents by surprise. It's safe to say that Carmella's return will have a huge impact on more than one member of the neighbourhood. Emotions will boil over, leading to a confrontation between Carmella and a resident of the street!

Since she left, Connor has found love with Serena. While she's less than thrilled to see the sexy Carmella back in town, Carmella is also not happy to learn that Connor has moved on. Connor, once again, will find himself at the centre of a love triangle. Who will he choose?

While you'll have to tune in to find out, we can tell you that Carmella will stop at nothing in her quest to win Connor back. "Carmella's return is a big shock for Connor," Patrick says. "He has to start thinking about what he's going to do and what he's going to tell Serena." Viewers may recall that when Carmella was last in Ramsay Street, she was the victim of a crazed stalker. The frightening experience left her deeply traumatized, prompting her rather sudden decision to move away from the area. "The last time we saw Carmella, she had issues. She went off to try and sort herself out," confirms Natalie. She reveals that Carmella is confident she and Connor will resume their once-steamy relationship. "He said that he would wait for her. She's back, she's sorted, she's confident and happy with herself. But she comes back only to discover that Connor is with someone else."

However, while Connor has never been able to resist Carmella's charms in the past, this time may well be different. "Connor was destroyed when Carmella last left," Patrick says. "Basically she said, 'I'm going and I don't know if I'll be back'. That's the way it was left between them. He tried to call her and speak to her, but she didn't reply. After he didn't hear from her for a while, he obviously thought, 'She's found someone else or she's happy without me and that's just the way it is'." And, as Patrick points out, Connor has since found happiness with Serena. "His relationship with Serena took Connor by surprise. Initially, they had a love/hate relationship and she's younger, but once he spent time with her, it went from there."

What's more, Connor has another problem to deal with. He has to come up with $50,000 to pay for an ear operation for his infant daughter, Maddy (Madison Lu). Before long, Connor finds himself begging Carmella to use her "contacts" to raise the money. Carmella, it seems, may now have the leverage she needs to win Connor over. "Connor comes to Carmella to ask her for help through her father's shady business contacts - which totally offends her at first," Natalie says. "Then she realises she can use this to her own advantage."

But one thing Carmella is not anticipating is for Serena's feisty mother Lil, to become involved. Recognizing that Carmella is doing everything she can to intimidate her daughter, an outraged Lil confronts Carmella and gives her a huge slap!
