Jamie feels for Frankie and can’t help comparing the ‘true love’ he has with Leanne, to what Frankie and Danny had. He cannot understand how Danny could do this to Frankie. Gutted Frankie keeps quiet and tries to put a brave face on for Jamie, but it is clear she is in bits over the terrible affair. Jamie innocently invites Leanne round to give Frankie support, but as soon as Jamie’s back is turned Frankie demands that she leave and finish with Jamie straight away. Leanne skulks off with her tail between her legs, and persuades Jamie to postpone the wedding until Frankie and Danny sort things out. Jamie is upset but understands. Leanne then sheepishly goes back to Frankie’s and tells her the wedding’s off but she cannot finish with him. What will furious Frankie’s reaction be?

In Steve’s flat, Ronnie wakes up and expects a cooked breakfast from her new man. But when she bumps into Liz in the kitchen the atmosphere is initially tense, but Liz tries to break the ice between them. The two women end up getting on well and it is obvious that Steve really fancies his new cab driver.

Elsewhere, Jason calls on Violet and asks if she wants to go to the cinema that night. She is over the moon about this until she sees Charlie and Jason working together again and has a go at him about where his loyalties lie.

And Cilla gets Yana to help her fit into Shelley’s wedding dress, but she ends up bursting through the seams and splits it in two places!

Frankie has had a terrible night’s sleep, and when Jamie tries to comfort her she bursts into tears. She later sees Danny in the street and although they desperately miss each other, she runs away from him, unable to cope with the enormity of the betrayal. She manages to go to The Rovers with Sunita, Eileen and Deirdre who try and support her and offer her shoulders to cry on. But Sunita rocks Frankie’s world even more when she admits she slept with Danny before Frankie arrived in Weatherfield. How will poor Frankie cope with this latest revelation?

Over in the café, Gail Audrey and Sarah enjoy breakfast together. They discuss Phil and agree that although Gail has lost a foot spa, she has gained a new man! But later on, Sarah confides in her grandmother that she wouldn’t trust Phil as far as she could throw him. Audrey goes to speak to her daughter about Sarah’s concerns, and Gail decides she needs to spend more time with her Sarah.

And Martin talks to his sullen son about his feelings for Robyn. David tells him he knows he is not high up on Martin’s priority list anymore now that his dad has a ‘new bird’, but despite Martin’s protesting, David won’t listen and moodily walks away from his father.

In the Rovers, the tension mounts because Jamie innocently asks his stepmother why he and Leanne shouldn’t be together. Danny, Leanne and Janice are on tenterhooks awaiting shattered Frankie’s response. Leanne desperately says to Jamie that the wedding is off but he tells her it is only postponed until Danny and Frankie get their act together. This tips Frankie over the edge, but instead of admitting Danny and Leanne’s sordid secret, she runs from the pub. The guilty parties breathe a temporary sigh of relief, but poor Frankie is still suffering with the truth weighing heavily on her shoulders. In a bid to cheer her up, Deirdre (Anne Kirkbride), Liz and Eileen arrive with some wine and support but Danny comes to the house in a bid to talk his wife round. Will Frankie take back her man?

Over in the Platts’, Gail tells Sarah that she has postponed her date with Phil to spend time with her, but gently explains that she does need to start her own life up again and have some fun. Sarah relents and gives her blessing to Gail’s blossoming romance with Phil.

And Steve comes clean to Lloyd about Ronnie after Eileen can’t help stirring things up over in Streetcars by telling Lloyd that Ronnie and Steve were kissing in the office. Lloyd is worried about her ex-husband, but Steve assures him he can handle Jimmy Clayt

Carol arrives back in Weatherfield and immediately begins to ask Leanne awkward questions about the postponed wedding. Leanne tells her it’s off because Frankie was upset about ‘something’, so Carol marches towards the Baldwins’ for answers. She tries to bully and intimidate Frankie into letting Leanne and Jamie get hitched but eventually Frankie can take no more of Carol’s venom, and blurts out that Leanne has been having an affair with Danny. Carol cannot believe her ears and storms round to confront Leanne, with worried Frankie in hot pursuit. There is a huge argument between all the Baldwins but Carol is determined for Jamie to know the truth about his cheating dad and scheming girlfriend. Will she spill the beans and force the troubled Baldwin clan to fall apart forever?

Phil is pleased that Gail has ironed things out with Sarah and they go back to the Platts’ for a romantic evening with a bottle of wine. But their liaison is interrupted by loud music pumping from upstairs. David refuses to turn his music down and their night together is ruined.

And over in Streetcars, Ronnie’s hard-man husband Jimmy strolls into the office and threatens Lloyd to get rid of Ronnie. Ronnie attempts to leave Weatherfield, but Steve manages to stop her at the bus stop. Is this the start of something special

Jamie can’t believe that Frankie never told him and leaves. Meanwhile, Les goes to see Leanne to find out why she and Jamie have split up, and then goes to Underworld to confront the knicker boss. Judging by Les’s anger, all the factory girls first assume its Cilla who Danny has been sleeping with, until the penny starts to drop that it is Leanne. But later in Underworld there is a showdown between father and son. What will shattered Jamie say to Danny?

Gail and Phil plan a romantic meal together and they enjoy a candlelight dinner in The Clock. He tells her more about himself and how he came to do the job he does. However, when they get back home David has made a complete pig sty of the house and is sullen and rude to Phil. Phil makes his excuses and politely leaves.
