haven't been able to get out - but doc says ice pack and then heat treat it. So I've been doing that. I might have to quit my beloved football because too much violence on (and off) the pitch.

I think it is bruising and not broken - because doc said the pain would be a lot greater - so i am hoping a few weeks i'll be back - in the mean time i can play lots of pacman :)

Thanks anyway Willow - at least there are some nice caring people out there!

I found this link about arnica: http://botanical.com/botanical/mgmh/a/arnic058.html

Am I right in thinking I can take this for my calf injury which won't heal properly?

Willow, I've had this calf injury now for 3 years. Physios all but given up. No matter how long I rest it or what exercises I do, it always comes back.

It really is time to look at alternative medicine.

have you tried going to a specialised herbalist, or reflexologist? they may be able to help,

Was in Malaysia for three weeks and had almost daily reflexolgy treatment (was very cheap and good). Its definately made a difference, but its not 100%.

Didn't think about a herbalist.

Aren't their people who specialise in muscular injuries? Or am I thinking of Physiotherapists?

arnica is fantastic for swelling and bruising, the cream is fantastic for getting rid of extrernal bruising really quickly, the tablets really help for deeper bruising (such as pie man ribs) like Willow I took it following delivering my 2 little ones too

Let us know how you are getting on with it guys
